I have watched WOO for 40 years. When they first came to East Bay Raceway. These kids today are on a different level.
I use to frequent East Bay Raceway.
When they hit the setup it’s a treat to watch Sheldon throw down

Got a chance to meet lil haud @ the chilli bowl. Great kid, gonna win a lot more races. Congratulations to Sheldon and the #17 team on their win.
We went down last year with the camper and stayed and watched them. It was an awesome time! I wish I had known they were there again I'd have went again! Last I heard they weren't going back to that track. Awesome track and super nice folks there!

He's really become a really good racer. He used to drive over his head at times the past few yrs. A lot smoother and in control of his car now. He's gonna be a Woo champion soon.
Looks like a well maintained track. I'd love to take a year and check out all of them.

Yup. Everyone else really missed the setup. Friday night the track was super tacky.

Do these guys ever race on mile tracks?
Yes but it's rare, they used to run the Syracuse mile back in the day. My opinion in why they dont alot now is because doesn't really make for good racing. But just my opinion. I think the silver crown cars still race on the mile tracks.
Used to but its too dangerous. Syracuse, NY used to have a 1 mile track the outlaws would race out but they stopped running there as the extreme speeds made it way too dangerous for them.
Used to be 3: Syracuse, San Jose, and Indianapolis. Very high speed tracks.
Cars go way to fast and the racing isn't as good. You get these guys on a highspeed 1 groove track doing a buck 50 + it just extra danger without extra racing excitement. Some of these half miles drive too big for it to be fun to watch too. I really perfer short track racing. A good 3/8ths mile is a good distance for it to be fun to watch, and fast.
opinions, headphone users?
My right ear loved this video. The announcing without any race noise in only my left ear was violating honestly.

@Slide Ways listening with headphones on really doesn't do it justice. I'd almost go as far as to say "you have to be there"because it's pretty cool to actually be able to hear him over all those cars (especially calling out a turn number mid race).
But listening on my stereo headphones, I don't like it lol. Better than the other guy who did one recently and sounded like he was officiating a funeral 😂. But it's just blaring in 1 ear with his audio track and the cars on the other. Someone needs to learn to mix property..
Edit: also I've been hearing the guy since I was very young and I'm closer to 40 than I'd like ;)
