Julie, I clean my candle jars putting them in the microwave for like 40 seconds, the jars are empty, no wax , you can add more seconds if needed , make sure the labels don't have metal/gold like some of the bath and body works candles have. If they do, I just remove the label. Then, grab the jar with something to protect your hands, I just use a paper towel, and then clean the inside of the jars with paper towels. They clean out very good like this! and after I wash them in the sink with Hot soapy water. They look pretty nice and clean this way. And the most important part it takes only few minutes! I hope this help. :)
I agree with Claudia @claudiadelpapa1243 about warming them in the microwave. Just remember to wipe them out with the paper towel or an old rag while the wax is still hot so that it will wipe off of the inside of the glass smoothly. I am positive this will be the answer to your problem to getting all of the wax residue off of the insides of the glass jars.
Julie, thanks for sharing. I recycle some of my jars. I've got a lot of wax to melt down to make some candles later on. Seeing your smiling face made me smile today. I'm going to light a candle it just might help with my emotions. God bless you and keep you.☕️ 🦋 💖
Hi, Julie. My name is Michelle.I've been watching you for a long time.I love all your Mickey Mouse stuff.I am such a Mickey Mouse band too I got a lot of Mickey Mouse stuff from my kitchen. My bathroom's all in mickey mouse volume that's my nickname mickey
I have a jar full on old candle wax. When a candle gets down to ware it want burn anymore i melt and put in the old wax jar. I don't know when i'll do what you did today. It looks like fun but I can't stand very long. ❤❤
I poke what wax is left after it’s burned to give to my sister for her warmers. I soak my jars in hot soapy water overnight and use either the dishrag or a bottle brush to clean them out.

Life’s to short I’d let those bottles go to glass recycling and look out for cleaner things when out and about for candles .

I liked your scaffolding for holding the wick in place. That was a lot of work but you got it done. Now to find more broken candles.
