The Best HS Basketball Program Ever Is In The Middle Of Nowhere | Homecoming: Oak Hill Academy

- Nestled in the tiny town of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia lies the most prestigious high school basketball program in America: Oak Hill Academy. Oak Hill has produced over 45 NBA players, including Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Rajon Rondo, Rod Strickland, Cam Thomas, Stephen Jackson and Brandon Jennings.
This past March, Stephen Jackson and Brandon Jennings were inducted into the Oak Hill Academy Hall of Fame. We followed along on their historic day and tried to crack the code to what exactly makes Oak Hill an NBA factory.

Yeah not EVERYONE at OHA played ball, and def not Gold team. I was class of 09, went in 06, man that was a wild time

Brandon was insane at OHA. Watched him drop I think 62 or something on a random Thursday one time. Had a couple classes with him my junior year, his senior year. I miss that place man

Yep, I'm from Southeastern Michigan. Saw Alex hoop as a kid. He was better than everyone by a mile. Went to Eastern Michigan while Glenn was there and knew his brother pretty well.

First heard of Oak hill VA back in late 70's guy named anthony 'Cosell Brown went their for a short time he was the number 2 guard behind isaiah Thomas in country in his Jr year class of 1980 from Alexander Hamilton high school from Brooklyn N.Y.

I respect Oak Hill..but we can't act like they were just some regular school. They are a boarding school that focused specifically on basketball. They should be great, lol. A glorified AAU program. But they did open the door for the current era.

this is country as fxxx, i lived in Virginia almost my whole life didn't here about oak hill untill 2002 after i left and Joined the Navy i get it great school but nobody goes there accept to watch oak hill, im from portsmouth we normally hit the seven cities or go out of state i never been to oak hill but i been other places i might catch a game
