I remember watching this, thinking how accurate it was that the titular character and the city he shared would never ever win the Super Bowl. Dammit why do the Buffalo Bills suck so bad When are they gonna get their movie about how bad they suck so they can win one?
Wonderful..just wonderful. I loved this movie when I was a kid, and now finally getting to re-watch it again at 38 years old I still love it. Such a great movie with so much heart in the story. Realism in the harsh realities of expectations a football player goes through with coaches and fans. Very well acted. Just....what can I say? Thanks for posting this Further AM.
Rip to both Jaime Cardriche (aka Bubba from the movie 1968-2000) & Art LaFleur ( aka Coach Gus Rogenheimer from the movie 🎬 1943-2021) They will be missed 😢

Thank you for this, disney forgot its roots n won't put classic DCOMs or shows because of the woke community killing our childhood for their preferences
I'm surprised Liberty Place isn't visible from the Rocky Steps @33:20. I wonder how old this footage is, as by 1998 when this movie came out, both Liberty Place 1 and 2 were built, and they were the tallest buildings in Philly, in fact the tallest buildings in America outside of NYC and Chicago.
About to be 25th anniversary of The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon and now the Eagles are in the Super Bowl since 2017 when they won their first Super Bowl
Probably because it’s not woke enough. Can’t have a movie that mentions Redskins, and the sexism of a man being embarrassed he doesn’t make more money than his wife

I remember when this movie aired on WPVI Channel 6 in Philadelphia, back in 1998. One of the news reporters has the WPVI Action News microphone.
He also pitched for the Anaheim Angels (Angles in the outfield)
@@charliedallachie3539 That's right, he was Mel Clark.

She’s the best wife….so supportive no matter how much he makes or what he does
34:47 that's Jeff Lurie who at the time had recently bought the Eagles, hence inside joke about the new Eagles owner being a good guy.
My favorite movie as a kid
Got me hyped for Superbowl sunday!
Reason I became a eagles fan as a kid 23 years ago. !!!!!!

NFL
How come they always go to Canada when they want to pretend to be Philly. They did it for Shazam too and it looked nothing like Philly.
