- Just a quick video gathering a load of firewood for back home. I recently bought a Stihl MS170 and this was my first time out with it. Seems to be a good little saw and it should be great for clearing trails on the trapline. We're at the end of fall here and trapping season is just around the corner. It's going to be a great winter!
I like firewood videos, I have cut a lot of firewood over the years. I am 74 and still cutting.
Wow! You are telling yourself .. and us the magic words. this year I'm lined up for trapping and videos.'Keep following your dreams'! You are awesome!
cutting and splitting firewood is hard but enjoyable work. i buy most of my wood now but on occasion, when it's available i'll break out the chainsaw and cut up wood. i love setting by the wood burner on a cold winter day. can't do as much as when i was younger so watching you doing it really brings back good memories.
..Of course I like this video. Anything out in the woods is good.
I always enjoy your videos.
Yes. keep the videos coming. Take care and stay safe.
Nice work Riley. I’ll start cutting next year’s wood in two weeks. Once our deer season ends I’ll be dropping maples for winter browse for the deer.
Love your videos, thanks
I love all your videos. They are relaxing and peaceful and have lots of beautiful scenery. Keep up the good work!
I want to own property like this and it's good to see what work needs to be done to maintain it. Thank you for all the trapline and bushcraft content.

Believe it or not I love watching this kinds of videos 😃, it's very calming and also informative as I don't really cut down trees that big 😳😆, keep it up Riley 👍🤙🤙🤙

I've had a hard time getting out and making outdoor videos, the past four months. I've been trying to get out and make some more videos. We had a big snow storm today and I'm looking forward to some winter videos to make. Thanks for these amazing videos and keep up the good work. Have a great weekend!
Thank you! You have a great weekend as well.

Awesome vid bud.
Рады Вас видеть на канале. Очень соскучились по вашим изделиям из дерева. Надеемся их увидеть. Удачи Вам.
Think I'd buy a log splitting machine and preserve my back for old age knowing what I know now. Great video.
I'm sure when I'm older I'll be more inclined to use a log splitter... but while I'm young and able I'll keep swinging my axe. Thanks for watching.
Enjoyed the video
I enjoyed this video a lot. I'm doing the same thing.
pleased do a lot more trapping videos this year we all love watching them
Trapping videos coming this week!
Great vid Ryley thanks for sharing
Wood keeps you warm in three ways. Splitting it, moving it, and burning it.
🙏🙏👌👌👍👍
👍👍
I've always been curious. What do you do as your career?
What sort of work do you do that interferes with trapping.
Hopefully soon you'll be able to make your living on the trapline and makes UA-cam videos
That would be the dream!
Great to hear your trapping plans this year -sure missed you last year. Are you gonna put up any marten boxes? Is there any lynx sign? Also, were those spruce that you took down for the firewood? I've never burned spruce - is it pretty bad for mucking up the chimney/stove pipe?
Yup, marten boxes will be set this week. Lots of Lynx sign so far.
It's white spruce & jack pine that I get. It does create a fair amount of soot. Burning the fire hot for an hour each day seems to burn the majority of it off though. I clean my chimney in the fall, once during the winter, then again at the end of the season. Thanks for watching!
