You missed one The "PvExterminator": This player doesn't really care for pvp, and in fact may have never touched it since launch. But they really love a cooperative experience, and can always be found in Frontier Defense. They may struggle or completely suck at pvp but once they switch they become a completely different person pulling off feats of incredible slaughter and efficiency that can only be obtained through countless rounds of wave defense.
The singleplayer only player perfectly summarizes my first few months of Titanfall 2, I didn’t ’t prefer the campaign back then, I just didn’t have Xbox live, even then the last month was frontier defense until Gen. 2
I feel like I’ve been becoming an unorthodox player player lately using mostly the kraber or Mozambique with e-smoke. Just some off meta/meme weapons/items to spice up the game.
I'm the exact same with kraber mozam, but one of the funniest things to me is grappling into someone face and just cook a grenade in your hand while you run around them full speed and confuse the hell outta them, endless fun

Dude, you forgot a underrated and rare player, the executioner, a very sneaky, cheeky pilot who would execute pilots rather than shooting them. Often very skilled in terms of movement and the use of abilities to their best, but often suffer from bad timing, lack of accuracy and buggy melee mechanics which is often a double edge sword. Also a campers worst nightmare. All for that sweet asmr execution. I was one of them, still am really. And there's the grenade cooker, the master of holo pilot, sonar spammers, melee monarchs and a few more that I can't seem to remember.
I'm the Unorthodox Player. Got tired of trying hard to win and started taking a more laid back approach to TF|2. I can usually be seen running Angel City Elite, Holo, and a Mozambique or Devotion.
funny enough, my brother is one of those speed-runners. but he doesn't struggle in MP. I consider myself to be in the unorthodox player camp. favorite weapon is the SMR.
I 100% fit into the "Unorthodox Pilot" category. I know I ain't the best. I never will be. The one thing I got on everyone else is the lobby... I'm having way more fucking fun. Mozambique, Thunderbolt, Wingman, Holo Pilot, Satchel Charge, and Monarch... I have actually gotten legitimate hate mail from my own teammates because I failed to get 10 kills in a single game because I decided to get nothing but jump kick kills and was having a blast. Another game I decided I was gunna play the entire match crouched and use nothing but the Softball and A-Wall. Again, didn't do so well but I have to say... That was one of the most fun matches I've ever played.
True, I enjoy the unorthodox guns so much, the feeling of using a cool gun and killing people using SMGs and stuff is just so awesome. Lmao I actually love the idea of entire game crouched loool
What about the veterans? I can think of 3 different veterans. Veteran group 1: The ones that played since day one and never stopped playing, Titanfall is their most played game of the five games they own, because they don’t need any other games. Veteran group 2: basically the same as group one with one small difference, they started playing 2 years after release and not on day one. They don’t know how all the things were prepatch (e. g. carrying only two weapons, some nerfs and buffs). Most of them are G.100 and some of them are actually good. They are, like everyone, very disappointed that the Halloween skins, like the Frontier defense skins, never made a comeback. Veteran group 3. Played since day one, but stopped a few months after the last update (like me D:) to play other games. These days they rarely pick the game up to see how it is going (last time I checked it was dying, because of the ddos). There’s also the type of player that only plays one game mode and nothing else (e. g. PVP). These days they’re pretty rare, because of the low number of players. And lastly the High gen noob. Somewhere between G.60 and G.100, and you wonder how because they’re somehow not good at the game. They have over 10k kills on one weapon and barely know how to use any other gun, sometimes they’re good in Titans because they’ve played so much Frontier defense.

Im the unorthadox dude.. I went full nerd and started roleplaying the shit out of my pilots and their titans.. I gave them names, ranks, backstories and faction afiliations. lol I separated them by tiers. Starting from the fresh recruits with factory issued weapons & equipment (pulse blade male, grapple female) to the cutthroat hardened killers that replaced their battered bodies with simulacrum chassis so they are able to kill more efficiently. Yes I do have a lot of fun playing with my virtual action figures..lol

Man I still remember the first time when I started playing at the coliseum and I was just doing Melee just for fun. I've made many people mad at that day whilst I cheerfully asking them to try a fun Melee 1v1 with me. Of course they all declined ;-;
Unfortunately, I think many people will soon become the single player only. With all the DDOS attacks making multiplayer hardly playable. I have gone through an hour long search for servers that weren't DDOSed without luck. I only ever had 5 games on frontier in a row that weren't DDOSed, the luckiest I've ever been. I'm starting to doubt the multiplayer a bit, but I just love the way the game mechanics work that I can't uninstall it. And the campaign offers substantial fun.

I've become an unorthodox player. Struggling is definitely something that happens, but I do enjoy myself.
