So, elephants (like many humans) are actually covered in tiny thin hairs. Think the hair on your arms. They're a bit scritchy/fuzzy to the touch. So I guess an elephant furry could be called a "hairy?"

If I had been shown this when I was a kid, this would've been slightly worse than useless, even when compared to the shitty advice I got. Mostly because Cool Cat is unintentionally depressing as a character, despite the cat suit looking like a normal kid's show mascot thing and not a kid's show mascot from my nightmares. I think I know where the budget went.

My husband is a furry. He can conform there are Elephant furrys.
Lol with the gun...my thoughts were the same. I mean a gun is not something you just easily lose like your keys or a pen. If a gun lies in bushes it was used for something bad. The proper response would be to call the cops. The same goes for this situation with it being Daddy Derek's gun and Butch having found it. YOU CALL THE COPS AND REPORT THE THING STOLEN. This is like serious shit...someone stole a weapon from you. With intent to commit a crime.

Cool Cat's age is pretty weird to determine
-He talks like a very young child, mainly in calling his parents 'mommy and daddy'
-he plays in sandboxes and plays pretend
-he enters a kids writing contest, which is usually just for young children (maybe about 6-10? i dont know)
-The books depict Cool Cat and Maria to be young children, and Butch looks to be maybe a couple grades older, but he still refers to his mom as 'mommy'
So all of this would imply hes about 6 years old or so
BUT
-Maria and Butch are clearly about 10-12 years old
-School President is something that is done in later grade school-high school
-he drives a car in one shot
-he lectures like an older brother to all of the kids
-hes put in the Hollywood Parada 'to bring happiness and joy to kids everywhere'
-(Edit) hes allowed to freely 'surf the internet' and has an email, which implies hes at least 13 since most kids under that age dont have emails (some, but most kids dont)

I think you figured it out - everything makes sense when you watch the movie as being a normal house cat's fantasy.

Because Derek used a friend's house to shoot the movie and Cool Cat's 'room' is i believe actually a guest room (and Derek felt the need to plaster Cool Cat's face on multiple surfaces...so Cool Cat is also a narcissist

Anybody who takes this movie's advice seriously is just priming themselves to not be able to handle their first trolling experience online tbh. There's some decent advice in this movie but it all is too grounded in Cool Cat being a gary stu to be applied to real life.
