You are beyond appreciated by so many including myself and believe it or not, have helped me personally in many ways with your guests, topics & your on point feedback! I think I was 14 when I saw it in theaters. I remember my dad drove me and my date to the theatre. Long story short hearing the soundtrack now brings me to tears.
That hits hard even from the perspective of a protagonist whose subjective time has only elapsed some 2 odd years. But from the perspective of Murph, it took 25 years to figure out that he was her ghost, and another 60 years for him to come back out of the tesseract. That's a long time to hold onto the hope that their dad keeps his promise, without knowing if he comes back.
Tbh it doesn't hit me like that but my favorite video game does (the last guardian) The funny thing is Interstellar got me the first time I saw it then never again but the last guardian didn't but has every time since lol I think I was just so invested in what was happening I couldn't allow myself to get emotional as if it all depended on me lol without that pressure or concern though it kills me every time. Even the music gets to me and I NEVER cry. No bs, never.
@ I don’t think so at all. You’re the ghost because everything you do becomes about developing your child’s future, not your own. Your future is your child’s future…you’re the ghost of your child’s future…
It took several years and maybe 6-8 viewings, but Interstellar has become my all-time favorite film. It's so profound. How I view the film at 35 is drastically different than how my 25 year old self viewed it.
Just watched it today in 70mm IMAX and it was the single best movie experience in my entire life. I honestly did not think the movie could get any better until today. Absolutely blown away.
Same the screen was so huge I was so immersed into the movie that I barely blinked 😂, the rocket launch , the cornfield chase I felt I was in the movie. It was fire
I watched it in IMAX when I was 35, my Dad was 65, and my kid was 6. It Now we are 45 and 75 and 16. It's unbelievable what this movie means. I honestly cannot fathom how fast a decade has flown by. I was balling

I just saw it in IMAX two days ago (I’ve watched it multiple times before). It was so magical, as if it was my first time all over again. I laughed at TARS, Cooper and Murphy made me cry. What a masterpiece of a film.
This film is art. There needs to be a museum dedicated to Interstellar and Science. Keep watching if it keeps you going, it's a very powerful love story.
I watched it one night on TV around 2018. As my daughter was born in 2014 and I missed it at the cinema. I wept so hard at the end as the idea of giving up a life with her vs serving your purpose utterly broke me. The movie is a masterpiece and Zimmer's score elevates even higher.
I just saw Interstellar in theaters for the first time in IMAX 70mm. I've seen it countless times, but sitting in that theater so immersed in the movie was one of the most incredible experiences of my entire life.
Interstellar is my favorite movie all time. The ending scene is so mind blowing and brilliant. Love is the only element that can transcend time and space.
0:23 The reason people saw it for 4 times in theaters is not just because there is a lot to take in but the experience is so extraordinary that people just cannot get over seeing Interstellar in theaters, especially in IMAX. The greatest movie ever made!

The subtle camera movements from the hands to the face and vice versa are a really nice touch. Chris and the production team absolutely smashing it as always 🎬 alright alright alright!
6:45 damn. Never heard words that made more sense to me. It’s a blessing and a curse to care about more than yourself. Personally, I’m glad that I do. If you do too, don’t take it for granted as he said!
Interstellar started as my favorite film because I loved space and it fascinated me when I was younger and saw the movie, along with the fact that it really made me think. Now it’s my favorite for all of those reasons in addition to the profound lessons and meanings I can take from it as an adult. It’s spectacular in every sense and its themes and messages about love and the importance of love being a driving force in our lives, is one that I’m grateful to think about often because of that movie. I never got to see it in theaters but I’m so so so excited to go do just that this weekend!!!
It's been my favorite movie but I'd never seen it in theaters. Just saw it in IMAX on its last day playing locally. My goodness, that is the way movies, not just interstellar, should be experienced. Unbelievable experience I will be thankful for for a long time. Thank you to everyone involved, and thank you to the universe for creating the perfect backdrop.
Was never able to watch it in theaters. Watched it in IMAX last night and today. Best movie experience I’ve ever had in my entire life; I’m 31. I was an emotional wreck. My favorite movie of all time. What a movie
I watched 4 times in the theater during its release, I have it on blueray and now I’m going back this Friday to watch it again in 70mm IMAX. This movie sat with me like none other.
Interstellar truly is one of the greatest films ever made. I could go into so many reasons but even if you watch it once, you will never forget it. Masterpiece.
That's very true. In an industry that notoriously has a lot narcissists with poor morals who aren't very good people, McConaughey and Denzel are both good, grounded, positive people. I'm not religious but it's worth noting they're both Christians as well.
Interstellar is in my top 5 greatest films. Has everything you want in a film - spectacle, love, pain, drama, ect… And the score man. Gonna watch it on the big screen soon for the first time. Can’t wait
I also like how Arrival tackels the human condition of suffering - worrying about the past and future at the expense of the present. Like Interstellar, Arrival also hit me completely differently after having a child. I might like it more because it touches on the human condition directly.
I saw this in IMAX a month or two ago. Single greatest cinematic experience I’ve ever had, I’ve watched this film many, many times at home but watching it on IMAX was like watching it for the first time all over. Got to watch it with my dad who’d never seen it before which made it ever better. He loved it too.
Watched it in high school as a kid and watched it last week as a new dad. Completely different movie for me now. I'm glad I went to experience it again
I cry every single time I’ve watch this movie. Just saw it in IMAX the last showing today and it was absolutely incredible, I hope and pray they do this every 10 years it’s truly one of a kind movie. It changed my life and I am where I am today because of this movie thank you
Cooper's choice is not only about following his dreams or even doing what he was meant to do, it's about providing future for his children and their children. If not my favorite, undoubtedly one of. What a movie.
I have never been more dialed into a movie than watching Interstellar for the first time, which was in theater. I've watched it many many times since. Just brilliant work
I do agree it’s a masterpiece - my favorite movie of all time. I wouldn’t say it’s underrated though, just another beautiful piece from Christopher Nolan.
Contact was one of the more thought provoking movies ive seen, Rust Cohle and Mud and then Dallas Buyers, and interstellar. One of the best runs in history imo, an oscar there too
I still think about this movie a lot. The rapid passing of time and powerful emotional acting of Matthew is something that makes me tear up every time I watch it. Also the score is among the best I’ve heard I love the theme. It’s a masterpiece that holds up.
Walked out of Lincoln Square 3 weeks ago seeing it in 70MM in tears. Being able to see this masterpiece in IMAX 70MM was the surreal experience I never thought I'd be able to experience. This movie is literally the most memorable film I've seen in time.
Just showed my little cousin Interstellar this year and she was mind blown! Such a great film. Definitely wish I could see it for the first time again.
It's a fun coincidence that Matthew is in both Contact and Interstellar because Kip Thorne consulted on both of them and was good friends with Carl Sagan (who wrote Contact). @@HugoStiglitz88 The history behind many film productions often includes changing hands multiple times before actual shooting ever begins. Both Interstellar and contact are so thought provoking and needs to be watched multiple times due to so many interesting situations happening that it’s difficult to see in one or even two viewings. He does really good films.
As a parent, I ask myself this ALL THE TIME. My Dad was a man who chased his dreams away from us. He succeeded(although he was NEVER home) but I always promised myself I wouldn't put my career above my children. It's a very difficult promise to keep.
One of the best moments in any movie, is when Cooper has to redock to the Endurance, and Brandt says it's impossible and Cooper just goes "No, it's necessary." It gives me chills every time 👏
Interstellar is in my TOP 3 Nolan Endings. The emotional ride he takes you on with this film just makes the ending incredibly impactful. Tears of joy just streaming down my face every time I watch that ending. Cooper Lives!
Interstellar is such a beautiful, heartbreaking, and ultimately optimistic film. I love it. It is definitely one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made
I'm just enjoying reading all of the posts! I'm so proud to be a human when I see that so many people understand how profound this movie is. It's art at the absolute best. I'm obsessed with the journey movies take you, but Interstellar is at the very top.
Ive watched the movie a thousand times or more. Usually a Sunday night after a big weekend. It, the music, I would hardly see the end cause it chilled me out to sleep.
Interstellar has so many great elements, but for me, the concept of time being relative stood out the most. The way it connects this idea to the emotional impact on relationships and choices felt really powerful
I saw it 3 times in theaters. Our movie theater also had the hovering seats that moved in sync with the movie. It felt like you were in the spaceships. I’m gonna see it this weekend in theaters again
This a great conversation. Obviously, I wanted to hear MM thoughts on Interstellar but went in such a much deeper are more thought provoking direction.
I just watched the movie for the first time 12-21-2024 and man I’m so mad i never watched it. This movie is one of my favorites. It would be incredible if a 2nd came out.
10 years and it’s still one of the best movies it’s definitely my favorite movie of all time. Watched it so many times it motivated to get my physics degree and I just bought the 4K version I will watch it again tonight
Contact and Interstellar. Who would have thought Matthew McConnaghey is the true hero of modern Sci-Fi? He was both awesome and blessed in and to be in both stories about the love between a child and a parent, and about the choices we make individually and as a society 🙏🏼
This guy should've at least been considered for an Oscar best leading man. The character he plays Coop is one of my favorite movie characters ever! This movie didn't get enough appreciation for it's time. The more that people see it the more I see people declare that this is the greatest movie ever made! It'll go down as a classic
Chris, I didn't realize you shot your videos in 21 by 9... For the first time I tried full screen instead of just off to the side and my god. Thank you.

Time flies! No pun intended lol
Can't believe I'm at the point where Interstellar is nostalgic.
Same and I just rewatched it last week :3

Yep, here we are.
Something only 10 years ago isn’t nostalgic yet
@@adammitchell1290destiny came out September 2014, it’s now incredibly nostalgic for anyone from that time.
“Because my dad promised me” - one of the hardest hitting lines of any movie I’ve ever seen
I cried like a baby at the ending. One of Nolan’s best

I cry every time I watch that part. The scene, the music, the movie 🤌🏾
Right through the heart!!!!
I'm one who doesn't care about Titanic, but that almost got to me.
Every time I rewatch Interstellar I lie to myself: "okay, this time I'm not going to cry".
Why? Let it happen.
I was 10 when i last cried, but this movie got my eyes wet for a few seconds, especially that bit towards the end. It's a powerful movie
Lying to ourselves feels good.

Interstellar is in my TOP 3 Nolan Endings. The emotional ride he takes you on with this film just makes the ending incredibly impactful. Tears of joy just streaming down my face every time I watch that ending. Cooper Lives!
My favorite movie I’ve all time and it will never change. I remember the first time I watched this film with my family I had so many goosebumps.
I'm obsessed with the journey movies take you, but Interstellar is at the very top.
just watched for the 5th time just 5 mins ago and this movie always makes me emotional
My favorite movie all time too. Saw it in Chicago last week. So happy
I went and saw it again in IMAX, and my God it was a legit RELIGIOUS experience. Love that movie 🙌
3:24 cookie monster
I saw it 3 times in theaters. Our movie theater also had the hovering seats that moved in sync with the movie. It felt like you were in the spaceships. I’m gonna see it this weekend in theaters again
Ooof I'm seeing Interstellar in iMax in two days time.
Definitely a favorite, I still listen to the interstellar soundtrack all the time
So glad I was able to see this movie again on Friday in IMAX 40mm. Beautiful movie.
so glad I got to see it in IMAX last week, great film
One of the last movies I saw with my father before he died. We both loved Sci-Fi and this one did not disappoint.
The fact Interstellar still holds up today with visuals and is considered an old movie is insane!
I appreciate His accountability to his family and his willingness to say his family is the most important thing in his life.
Rewatching it in IMAX on shrooms was absolutely unreal. The score, the acting, the emotions are unrivaled in any movie. Its an amazing movie.
I have tickets to an IMAX showing tomorrow, only saw it in a regular theater ten years ago so I cannot wait
I have tickets for this weekend, same deal. Never saw it in imax or even regular theaters the first go around. I hope you have an awesome time
I’m hoping it’s 70MM
Glad we've got this clip
I can’t stop listening to the sound track! Amazing
Rewatched it yesterday, this movie was awesome. So many life lessons to learn from, it amazes me everytime
This a great conversation. Obviously, I wanted to hear MM thoughts on Interstellar but went in such a much deeper are more thought provoking direction.
Interstellar is still my favorite movie. Love Matt's philosophical thinking and his caliber
Interstellar is a classic. Saw it twice opening weekend in IMAX and just blew me away
Absolutely love that movie
One the best movies I’ve ever seen. Now that I’m father it hits so much harder
I just watched the movie for the first time 12-21-2024 and man I’m so mad i never watched it. This movie is one of my favorites. It would be incredible if a 2nd came out.
Crazy. I just rewatched this tonight.
10 years and it’s still one of the best movies it’s definitely my favorite movie of all time. Watched it so many times it motivated to get my physics degree and I just bought the 4K version I will watch it again tonight
“…Because not everybody does”
I don’t know why this gave me chills
Contact and Interstellar. Who would have thought Matthew McConnaghey is the true hero of modern Sci-Fi? He was both awesome and blessed in and to be in both stories about the love between a child and a parent, and about the choices we make individually and as a society 🙏🏼
Just watched it in theaters today, what an amazing movie!
Watching this in IMAX tomorrow. I am PUMPED
I just saw Interstellar last night in IMAX, and it was an incredible and nostalgic experience!!
This guy should've at least been considered for an Oscar best leading man. The character he plays Coop is one of my favorite movie characters ever! This movie didn't get enough appreciation for it's time. The more that people see it the more I see people declare that this is the greatest movie ever made! It'll go down as a classic
I'm going to watch it in theaters tomorrow!! Didn't get a chance to see when it came out, I'm so excited!
Great men are rarely great fathers. The burden of greatness comes with a cost.
Seeing it today, can’t wait!
Chris, I didn't realize you shot your videos in 21 by 9... For the first time I tried full screen instead of just off to the side and my god. Thank you.
