it's about the feeling of belonging to the land and loving the land. Though non-indigenous, I too have this powerful feeling of love and belonging , when I am in the bush. Troy brings blackfella and whitefella together in our shared love of the wide brown land.
I saw Troy play this with mossy tonight at Grafton tonight. I thought it was pretty special and brought a bit of a tear to my eye knowing what it means to him and singing it on country in front of family and friends.
It's always a pleasure to hear your music sir. Growing up in Queensland and working throughout this land, nothing feels like home like this outback land does to me. Country life, country dreams.
Thank you for this song. The words are such a gift. I’m not into country music, and have no indigenous ancestry. I love being connected to this country with this song.
I'm not a big fan of country music but this song has to be my most favourite song in the whole wide world. So looking forward to seeing Troy play Kuranda next week......have seen him twice now, most recently Red Hot Summer Tour Cairns and another time he played with Ian Moss at Cairns Performing Arts Centre. Troy is a poet, a story teller and musician all rolled into one
first i heard his songs way back 2002 when i was only 13 yrs old.. and now here he is again still amaze me of his beautiful songs... BRAVO 👏👏👏 ALWAYS TUMBS UP FOR ME 👍👍👍. GODBLESS YOU ALWAYS TROY..
You might know him I ve written a poem about. I m wondering if he d be interested in looking at it may be put it o music. I was so inspired when I saw a doco on him. I m not so familiar with his music . I related to his story . My aboriginal friends are very special. I empathise with their hardships.

Yes, Its good to be king from one of the best ever. Do yourself a favour in the words of Ian 'Molly" Meldrum and listen to Tom then flick back to Troy and the 'jangly' like guitar tones are there. Peter Buck from REM was also a bit of a 'jangler'. We both have good ears.

Saw Troy in concert at Tweed Heads recently, it was top shelf and I’m not much into country music but he is great!
