SAMOA Agreement Lacks LGBTQ Condition; Olutubosun Osifowora Gives Exclusive Insights

The Federal Government's decision to sign the $150 billion Samoa Deal has sparked controversy amid claims that the agreement includes clauses that require developing nations to support LGBTQ rights in order to receive financial support from advanced countries.
The Samoa Agreement, a partnership between the European Union and members of the Organisation of the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), aims to promote cooperation in areas such as human rights, democracy, peace, and sustainable development.
However, concerns have been raised over reports that the agreement includes provisions that could compromise Nigeria's laws and values on the issue of LGBTQ rights.
In response to the backlash, the Federal Government has assured that it will not sign any document that contradicts the country's existing laws on the matter.

Still confirms the general fear. What they percieve as reproductive right defer from what we perceive as reproductive right but they wrote the agreement based on what they percieve as reproductive right. The question is, why didn't we tell them our perception of reproductive right and put a clause to protect ours to avoid misunderstanding tomorrow?
