@@dirtbikeenthusiast9494 Thanks! the carb was not so intimidating to clean as it looked, Pretty much a standard one that im used with, except a hot start cable and the manual acc pump. But now i got stuck, or better said the intake valves are stuck ;) and i managed to break the camchain tensioner. So Schim the intake and create a manual tensioner from the housing. And maybe i will be ripping this weekend :). Great guide
Interesting that the CRF250X is very similar but has a head stay bracket on the back of the head that runs over top of the carb that makes it much tighter access. Removing the head stay helps but the tabs on the head and frame are still in the way. Excellent video. No stupid music or blabbering on about who knows what! Thank you.
You couldve saved a few seconds not worrying about the plastics on the gas tank and just straight up unbolted the tank and pulled it tank plastics in all
I never remove the tail frame and shock absorber. Loosen the clams on the carb, turn loosen the top two bolts on the tail frame, pull it back and presto.
Jesus this is an insane process for a part that commonly needs maintenance or tuning.
Yea.... I didn't think it was possible to fall in love with my simple little 2-stroke motor a 2nd time 😂
Some much easier to trade in the 05 for a EFI bike what a hassle
Great job. Had nigthmares about doing this job since its so tight in there :)
Goodluck on your project.
