Well, complaints aside, this is pretty cool. People are complaining about the lack of an on/off switch. Well, it's already built in! I think it's easier to just leave it and it shuts itself off. No switch required! As far as the stickers, well, what do you think was on the original props? STICKERS!!! If you want an absolute original prop replica, then it would have been made of wood or (Ugh!) foam. It would have been chipped and scratched up and not make any sound effects. As far as the stand, wouldn't you want to display it by suspending it with invisible wires or fishing line type thread so it looks like it's actually hovering? I can't believe how much complaining has gone on with the reviews of this. I'm glad that you ended up liking it though.

Perhaps the Scooter Bar was a paid add-on. lol

I know it says "fantasy image" under the blue and orange hoverboards on the box, but how cool would it be to actually get those to go alongside this one?

I was looking for a vid on HT BTTF II Marty and Doc?? No vids?, didn't get them? Anyway, the wondering if the 6 inch hoverboard is the same, from this prop to the HT figures... other than the handles? I'll have to look
Well I gotta ask, can you lay it on the floor then stand on it? Or is it too fragile for that?
I hope in the future (no pun intended) that we maybe get a better replica of the hoverboard with the stand/handlebars you can optionally plug in.

Great review. Glad to hear these actually came with stands and a mini board since Dan's didn't for some reason. I ended up preordering The 6 inch scaled board alone swayed me to buy it lol we never got to hear if you actually stood on it. If you did mind letting us know how that went too?

Great review, Optibotimus! I'll never own one of the Hover Boards, but I was certainly curious. I appreciate the detailed review. Definitely a nifty prop for big fans of Back to the Future II. The only "collectibles" I owned of Back to the Future stuff were the fast food toys from the animated series, haha.

GREAT SCOTT! I want one of those SO bad but i live in the U.K, So for a $120-$130 product, for them to ship it, it would cost around $150-$170, so that it VERY expensive!

The gluing the box shut is stupid however, I can't see any logical reason to do that other than to piss off collectors.

Don't forget to remove the batteries when you are not showing off the hoverboard to your friends, because overtime the batteries they'll corrode and ruin the electronics. I always take the batteries out of electronic toys to keep them working.

Box-ception! I've watched a several of reviews of items you bought from matty collectors, and for high end adult products, they seem like garbage. Well, not garbage, but the opinions you have are hold a lot of weight since the price tag was meant for adults.on that note, im kinda glad I skipped out on the voltron set.

There are people in the UK who make replica's of the board, you will end up paying less and buying it from someone there.
I swear when you first put the batt in and the noise came on it looked like it was hovering in your hand. My heart almost skiped a beat. Looks really cool just not worth the money for me. I'm also a big guy if I stepped on it I would prob crack it in half.

I prefer honest reviews pointing out things that may turn me off from purchasing it - thus saving money. If you don't like the bitching - don't watch. Skip over it - whatever! Simple.
