what is your take on learning with apps like duolingo?

You’re welcome.
I think the apps are good at helping you stay consistent; the streak in the Duolingo app for example. But more than anything else, you need to practice.
Learn some grammar, speak, speak, speak. Listen, learn some grammar, speak, listen, learn some more Grammar. Rinse, repeat.
