overwatch league did it in Their first season championship (equivalent to vct champions) where funnily the la glads picked the la valiant which was stupid as the valiant had won the tournament before then glads predictablly lost and got memed on by the community
i don't watch league of legends. But i've seen multiple post from twitter that said LOL also applied this format. I'm not too sure if this true or not tho.

Well there is indian team in APac which is Global Esport but they are kinda bad and did not qualified for the VCT APac playoffs
No Sen and Loud so i doubt master shanghai have higher viewership than madrid... And no, im not a fan those two team but it is a fact Sen and Loud have huge viewership

Leo Faria o cara que faliu o cenário, mil vezes comp era antes que tinha ate 3 times ou 2 timea BR na Champions no masters sempre tinha 3 ou 2 e eram times diferentes, a nip ja foi , a Keyd , a loud , e etc , sempre viamos times diferentes, hoje tá só a panela e se foda os times Regionais, esse cara conseguiu falir varios cenário com essa franquia e com esses formatos memes

They already clarified they wanted to shorten the off-season but weren’t able to until next years vct so hopefully with the ascension 2024 team most of our problems will be resolved
