Congratulations bhaiya finally you are settled in your life 💛🤗
Thank you brother!
Hello, Harshil! Congratulations on your placement. Wish you the best!
If it's feasible could you make a video dedicated on how to tackle/ approach interviews, please. It would be really insightful as you speak to the point without beating around the bush.
Thank you Aayushi.
It's always a delight to read your comment.
Regarding the topic you've mentioned, sure. I'd share my experience along with experience of my batchmates who appeared for PPO & Day Zero interviews of law firms.
I think it would help you and others too.
@@HarshilVijay Oh, that would be really insightful. Please do make a video on it whenever it's feasible for you to accommodate it in your schedule. Thank you!
Hey thank you so much for this video, was really useful. Also a suggestion from my side, i went through your resume and saw that u interned with a variety of firms... It would be really great if u can share your experience with each of them.. Or atleast the chennai based firms.
Sure. You can also contact me on LinkedIn.
very great sir i am also in a law school jindal university of law u are a inspiration for the aspirant preparing foe law entrance exam
Hi Harshil, Firstly Congratulations for the job!
I completely agree with placement anxiety and loved you honesty throughout the video.
Thank you for letting us know more about in-house counsel. As we know, companies usually doesn't take legal interns it would be great if you could advice me. Do let me know if there is any company that you know takes final year students as an assessment intern/trainee in bengaluru??
My interest towards knowing about in- house counsel grew recently and I really really want to take this as an option too...
I'll be glad if you could help me out.
Hi Muskan. Thanks a lot!
Answering your query, as of now, I'm not aware about any in-house openings as an assessment intern. To be honest, it's indeed difficult to find one.
But one of my friend landed an internship through LinkedIn, so I suggest checking its 'Job section' & personally contacting the senior legal managers working in MNCs to see if there are any vacancies.
I hope this helps.
@harshil vijayvargiya... you do not know how much this video has helped me
...I had been anxious about what law job I could take so that I can spare some time to execute my business in future...
And every website and every person I have met regarding law said that law job gives no spare time and it is always packed.... I was getting discouraged but your video has saved me! and has encouraged me once again... I was really confused about whether the path I have taken is right or wrong... but you have ensured it again
thank you so much
keep making more videos
it is very encouraging and inspiring to watch your videos because it is short, to the point and legit.
God bless you.
All the best Shruti!
I totally agree with you. I am a Privacy legal counsel working for a MNC and a 2021 NLU graduate as well. After a year of working, I found that I have more scope of learning at a MNC, I have a good work life balance and also I am able to pursue my passion as well.
Thank you for sharing your experience!
Prantik bhaiya kya MNCs and corporate organisations ke placements kam hote hai as compared toaw firms?
Also working in-house is somthin mon-fri or just like law firm all 7 days a week
I am ballb 4th year students. Sir your video very helpful for all law students

Hey! Harshil, I live in Ahmedabad right now... I am thinking about pursuing law now, but I'm not sure whether I should opt for GNLU or some NLU elsewhere. Please let me know your opinion regarding this. EDIT:- I know that the clat ranks differ in terms of NLU selections... but this question is regarding whether I should move away from home or not.
Regards.
GNLU is among the top 5-7 law universities of India.
That means there are few colleges better than GNLU, try getting admission in them.
Hello sir Shruti this side !
This was such an informative video for law students. I'm a student of BA.LLB in GGSIPU in New Delhi. I'm a 3rd year student and I also wanna do a job in MNCs like you, could you please suggest to me what will help me to achieve my dream!?
A clarification - its Vedanta 'Limited' and not Vedanta 'Resources'!
Thanks for making this video!

Can I get in house job after persuing law from central university?
difficult but possible. I suggest getting work experience and then applying
Great video bhaiya,
I have one doubt- someone said me that you are still a registered BCI lawyer while working in a law firm as it hires on contractual basis, but as an in house, you lose on that factor, is it true?
What's your take on this?
While I need to read more about this, but I think an in-house counsel is hired as an 'employee'. So he/she needs to give up the license. And they can't appear in court.
Law firms hire on a retainer basis. They aren't paid a salary, rather a 'retainership amount', so I think they are allowed to appear before court.
Keep going keep shining✨❤
Thank you brother!
In a video I saw one person who worked as partner at law firm had said that one should choose law firm as his "first job"rahter than going for a mnc or corporate organization,as law firm is going to give you more experience ,and also If your first job was in a law firm you can come back to law firm ,but if your first job was in House counsel then it would be difficult to move to a law firm how true it js
You can join law firm after working as an in-house counsel as well. It would depend on the type of work you did in the company.
If you wish to join specialized team such as PE/VC then it might be difficult though, as the work in MNC doesn't revolve around this niche.

No. The thing is many IIMs give preference to those CAT takers who have 2-3 years work experience.
They get additional marks for this.

Hello sir, thank you so much for this insightful video. Actually I was hoping if you could guide me as how to prepare yourself to apply for a legal job in MNC (like how to prepare your cv). I would be really greatful.
Bhaiya i wanted to know that after getting selected in In house counselor do the person have option to work from their hometown ,or the person have to shift to another city in order to work as IN house councelor??please clear it bhaiya!
If the companies allow working from home, you can, if they don't, you might have to go to the city.
Ohkay even if we do not get option of work from home , but can we get option of getting transferred to some other city of our choice??
@@abhishekrajadmno5613 That would depend upon whether they have an office in city of your choice or not.
There are a lot of factors at play.

Thanks for the info. What would you recommend to someone who's not doing law from not very reputable university/college? What's his chance of getting hired in a good MNC as legal councellor?
In such a case, I suggest focusing on gaining work experience. As you gain more experience and show your ability, firms wouldn't care and you would get hired by MNCs that have vacancies.

What will be your advice for the one who has cleared CS executive during grad and planing for either mba finance or LLB , which degree would make more sense according to you for the purpose of employment.
MBA benefits-
1. High salary if you get into IIM or other good B School.
2. CS degree might be slightly beneficial
3. Wider career opportunities in the future.
MBA issues-
1. High fee (15-20 lakhs minimum)
LLB -
1. Salary would be good around 8-11 lakhs if you complete CS + Law. Only having CS executive won't count.
2. Fee would be much lower than IIMs
3. You would have to work hard and secure opportunities for yourself, as almost no 3 years college would help in getting placements.
So choose MBA if you can afford fee. Choose Law if you can work hard by self and complete CS too
@@HarshilVijay Thank you so much.
what if 3 year llb done from glc or ils ?
Will there be any placement opportunity?

Now it's July and I waste alot of time but now I am thinking that from August I will start preparation but I don't have much knowledge about clat
bhaiya, i have a doubt that is it worth pursuing law considering that it is a hectic job . you said that work hours are not fixed and 10+ hours work is too much
If you can go for Tech job (computer science), go ahead.
@@HarshilVijay can't bhaiya!. please tell that if we don't make it to Any nlu's can we do it from IPU colleges like VIPS? will it have a major impact on our careers?
A top NLU would have significant advantage. But if you are willing to work hard, you can go with IPU & others too. But then you can't rely on college for getting you placed or anything, it would be solely dependent on your performance.
I'll suggest going for a college that doesn't have strict attendance requirement such as GLC. This would allow you to intern all time and gain real life experiences even before you graduate.
@@HarshilVijay thank you so much!

sir give some brief for corporate lawyer
Sir, I want to ask one question as you chose a role as an in-house counsel after your llb, but my question to you is, if any person is not placed by placement. So, what is the criteria or how do you begin looking for an in-house counsel position? Because there is no such clarity regarding how to apply for in-house counsel and what kind of work they do and so on.
In house counsels are also known as corporate lawyer. Basically Corporate lawyer deals with legal aspects of a company.
Hey Harshil!
I'm a CA Intermediate student... Done with B.com this year... After graduation I'm confused in b/w M.com n LLB... Also, if LLB then which sector Defense, Criminal or TAX?
Hi Saanvi. I suggest going for LLB. LLB is done in a general way, and there is no specialization as such. For example, we had specialization in 4th year only, and that too for 1 semester.
Hope it helps!
@@HarshilVijay LLB is of 3 year na?
N yea I got to know that specialisation is in LLM only.. LLB is in general.
@@HarshilVijay well I wanted to know..
If I ask for jobs in MNCs... Do I get a decent job offer.. Jst with bcom n LLB degree? If I do LLB from a govt. clg?
It depends on some factors. if getting a job in MNC was easy, everybody would do LLB+ B com.
In addition to the degree, you need to do internships, especially in Tier-1, 2 law firms.
Having moots and published articles also help.

Other than Joining MNLU, I have option to join DU for Bcom and can do MBA after it.
MNLU would be better unless you are joining a very good college of DU. But if you are sure of MBA, then B.Com would make more sense.
