Again no actual detailed information on the features of this router which would be of more interest to most people rather than a pointing out a black glossy case. Most people don't pick up thier router very often, we do however want to know what features are available
Chris Lloyd hear hear this guy is bloody useless. It's well known he's biased in reviews but sweet Jesus this video was just utter crap. no information of any use beyond box bumpf imparted at all oh... unless you count his fondling of the black plastic body. my only solace is that he must have spent more time out of his life making this video than I did watching it. What a monumental waste of my time.
Daft question - I'm considering this for an install on a narrowboat, placing the router in the cabin space and connecting it to an external dual band antenna. Q1 - are the existing antenna detachable in such a way that I can attach the connections for the external antenna ? Q2 - I'm assuming that the antenna are for receiving/transmitting the 4G LTE signal and not used for the wifi signal as I assume that is transmitted 'by the box' - am I correct ?
Knowing that the current antenna is only there to receive 4g/3g signals and are detachable, can they be replaced with better ones to gain better signal strength?
Sharing a 4G connection via a router is an old feature but TP-Link are certainly very good value. My only criticism of them is their equipment tends to fail after a much shorter time than other more premium manufacturers.
If I mobile hotspot from my phone and 4G signal isn't good, would this unit improve the 4G speed if I put my sim card from the phone to the tp link ac750
@@geekanoids ok thanks 👍🏻 I'm on a caravan site so its all 4G but the speed test is between 1/5meg which isn't good when it comes to running a firestick so was thinking of getting this TP LINK AC750 to improve the speed
Problem is the power being sent to the antenna will be the same unless the external antenna has its own power supply to give additional boost, that’s what tech support told me ,two unidirectional antennas aimed at your nearest tower will still give better signal though.
hi, we are currently running our internet connection via a Huawei b310 (homefi) and a Three sim. do you think swapping out that router with one like this or better, could increase our speeds/signal?
Am I right in thinking this could be plugged into a desktop Windows 10 PC - and the internet wired into BT broadband? (with a second computer wired into the router) And... would the wireless connection also work on the router for the desktop PC(s)? How do you switch from wired to wireless? ps thanks for a great video!
I am using mobile hotspot for internet using sim. By using sim card in this router, will I get 5 times more upload speed than mobile hotspot for internet surfing?
Hello, is this router improve the Three 4g signal? Because I live in a flat studio and lots of big houses arround me.Even my phone not get more then 2 bars.
with the 4g lte does the upnp and dhcp server work? as in gaming fps if i say i had 48 ms ping with a 30 down and 20 upload. lte on my mobile hotspot keeps me at a strict nat type and i was wondering of this would fix it isp here are crap
best mobile broadband router one could literally ever find, even in the shittiest of locations, will even beat most of the home broadband devices, except Fiber.
Never buy round antenna router. It has internal 4g antenna and it is version 3.. flat antinna is 4gLTE antenna which can be seen in v1, V2 and V4, V5. Check on toplink website they clearly mentioned
@@geekanoids That's not true. if dan or any other user who's getting poor broadband wants to use a Data SIM plan and 4G access rather than use their slower rural broadband service, then this router could be an ideal solution they live within good signal range of a 4G wireless mast, indeed it is likely to be much faster than the current (wired) internet connection. The main issue are mobile SIM data cap limits - depending on how much the user tends to download per month. That said with the big 4 4G providers all now offering Sims with 100G or more of data pcm, this is less of an issue than was the case.
It's does not support all sim card. These are the sim card it supports: 4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20 (2100/1800/2600/900/800MHz) TDD-LTE B38/B40 (2600/2300MHz) 3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS B1/B8 (2100/900MHz) 2G: EDGE/GPRS/GSM Quad Band (850/900/1800/1900MHz)
Wifi signal covered only 18 meters. It tried its on empty my depot where no building is only empty field. My mobile phone wifi signal covered nearly 30 meters. Money wasted on this router.
I'm quite impressed by the higher-end routers by TP-Link lately. The performance is amazing. But I hate the design of the C8 and C9 routers. Who came up with the idea to take away the option to hang the router on your wall? I also find other brands to offer more options for guest networks, VPN and setting network privileges/limitations. Just take a look at Synology's router and the ones from Fritz. But the 4G option in the router you've just reviewed, seems only useful for a really small group of people. Dedicated portable 4G hotspots will do perfectly for those few times people actually need it.

I am not sure they can on this model.

Is the power button momentary or in and out? Will the router start up after power interruption? Manual doesn't say.
Sorry I no longer have this to check.
A web store replied to me that the on button is sticky and that the router will start up by itself after a power cycle.
How much is the wi fi coverage area ?
Can it covers a 210 square metres or something like that ?

It is dependent on signal and the speed in your area.

It has better antennas, so I would expect some improvement.

....THE BEST QUICK FIX IS TO MOVE AWAY FROM TALL BUILDINGS AND BUY TO HOUSE THAT IS NOT FLAT! ...WORKS EVERYTIME!!

I would probably go TP-Link just due to brand reliability.

So regarding the sim slot. Would the carrier consider using my sim with this as hotspot? Or they wouldn't know

Hi, Can we fix in the car also ? and fix one camera for live
I am not sure this would work.
Can i manage the bandwidth and allow block websites in this router
Sorry, I no longer have this to check.
Looks good I wonder if it's worth my while getting this . I live in the country and internet is poor . This might be the answer
This won't improve the speed/service coming into your house, it'll only improve the distribution of the data bandwidth available.

Cool product! Any idea if its possible to combine the DSL/Cable connection and the 4G connection to increase bandwidth?
+Mark Broere Not sure, best check with TP-Link.
Does this work with any sim card? Doesn't matter which country or provider?
Best check with TP-Link.
It's does not support all sim card.
These are the sim card it supports:
4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20 (2100/1800/2600/900/800MHz)
TDD-LTE B38/B40 (2600/2300MHz)
3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS B1/B8 (2100/900MHz)
2G: EDGE/GPRS/GSM Quad Band (850/900/1800/1900MHz)
Only if your sim card belongs to one of the above category. Got to check with your Teleco Carrier.
Correct!
is it faster than the smaller TP-Link M7350 tho?

If you have fast home broadband, yes.

Sorry I no longer have this, but in a good signal area it should work fine.
Will this work over Ethernet with the SIM?
I don't think so.
Does this product support carrier aggregation?
No.
