I'm sorry, but the idea that people pay $54 for a device that does exactly what your fingers do is mind-boggling to me.
Plus, I imagine the vibrations just drives makeup deeper into your pores, and that's not something I want. I use vibrating facial cleansers and nothing more.

Also, the use of it seems to be more trouble than it's worth. I could apply my foundation and get it done before even making the hassle of taking this out and prepping it to use.

I love bunny and her videos because she shows everything...small mistakes, verbal flubs etc...she doesn't seem to reshoot her videos if she messes up on something and shows what it's like in reality. I realize it's called does this thing work so she's testing stuff, but I mean for mistakes not product related. it's no surprise at all she has a massive following

I am rather amazed at how well it worked with the mineral foundation. It also seems to me that you'd get less product waste when using it. I notice when I just use a brush that it sometimes ends up on my clothes and not my face. Lol. I may have to pick one of those up. Thanks, Bunny!

And essentially when you use powder foundation you have to blow/tap some of it off so its not as powdery looking and with this you just apply it to the sponge then to your face so you do save some:) ;)

    Okay two things:
    1. My favorite thing about you is the fact that you do 90% of your videos with no makeup and that messy as fudge sassy bun. Despite every other youtuber out there, you show us your natural beauty. And your true fans, such as mwah, won't give two flying ducks whether or not you're dolled up. I think your natural beauty is the most profound.
and 2. I've been watching your videos for a long time and am familiar with most of your little catch phrases. Recently I got a wart on my hand and somehow started calling it a "hand demon". I thought I made that up. Now I just realized it. You call pimples "face demons"! Hahahaha. You are subconsciously always in the back of my mind, Bunny. lmao.
    LOVE YOU

This is a neat device to play with but definitely not worth the price for the average woman. $56 plus $9 for replacement sponges every couple of weeks adds up, not to mention the product you'll waste "seasoning" every new sponge. As someone who wears a $42 foundation, I cringed at the thought of wasting it when other sponges don't seem to suck up so much. Someone would be better off buying a beauty blender and the cleaner for it. My BB gives me the most flawless, poreless finish and I think everyone would be better off investing in that and maybe a nice powder puff than a foundation robot thing haha.

    • @aliasigh1123

Gabriel Tzukishiro Not necessarily. You'd have to buy new sponges roughly every 2 weeks. Her foundation pot probably lasts her close to a year. The sponges for this device would cost well over $200 a year. Even if she went through 2 pots of foundation a year, it would still be under half of the sponges. Not to mention, things aren't made to last anymore. That device will die quickly and you're more likely to toss it in a drawer and forget about it. $56+9+9+9 wasted.

    • @xXMeganMansonXx

Well, lets put it this way. People requested general items, and other people complained about them being too random/useless. Then people started requesting more childrens toys/game items, and other people were complaining that she was focusing the channel too much on children and not reaching the right fans. Now people are requesting more makeup items, and male folks are complaining she only focuses on female viewers.
The pattern here is the fact that everyone's complaining about what she "chooses to do" when in fact it's usually up to the viewers to recommend items that they want to see. If you don't want as many makeup items, recommend a non-makeup item.

It's not worth $54, the sponges are not worth $9. Adding a little bit of plastic to a sponge in a mass producing factory does not cost more than a dollar. the margins on this product must be insane. The handle should not vibrate that much, like a Claisonic the vibration should happen in the head with minimal vibration in the handle. That's why the head is so big. In this device you can tell the majority of the vibration is in the handle.
Other than that, I don't think it works well for liquid foundation, a makeup brush works much better. And you wouldn't need to use that much- with that much cake face is bound to happen in some areas and leave patches in others from the "wiping off" effect if you press too hard. You'd use a lot less for better coverage with a good brush.
For powder it makes application much smoother, it's hard to master powder foundation if you wear it over liquid or concealer. Since using it with a brush can disturb the underlying product, and using it with a powder puff people often wipe it across the face and don't press and roll the puff and dust off the extra with a brush. Leaving cake face again.
All and all I would like to try this product, but I would never buy it until they make it available for it's actual worth. Which is about 25-30 dollars. And the sponges 4 dollars max.

    • @BadAsh915
      @BadAsh915 9 років тому +7

Yeah, I think the $54 price tag is pretty steep for something as simple as this. I've worked for electronics companies, and there is absolutely nothing new that this product offers. They took technology that already existed (home facial kits!) and just made it 'prettier', and jacked up the price. I would not be surprised if the devices 'cost' was around $5-8 (maybe even less!). That's a $46 mark up!!!! plus $4.50 per sponge is so ridiculous! I'll stick with my fingers and $12 brushes...
Btw, I won't be he least bit surprised when we get closer to Black Friday and Christmas, when this thing goes on sale for $29.99 or $19.99. Ooooo what a 'savings'

Actually, not all good quality brushes and sponges are expensive. And they don't use their fingers because yes, sanitary reasons, and also because not all foundations look good when applied with fingers. It can look streaky and uneven, which is why people use a brush or sponge.

    • @CattTheCat

Also, I don't feel like you have as much control over the amount of coverage you're applying. It seems like she put a lot more on than she would have with a brush or just using her fingers.

Kind of expensive - I'm a brush girl myself, but for some foundations will even use my *gasp* fingers. So I see $50 plus $9 refill every 2 to 10 weeks and think EEK!

I think insead of doing one side powder and the other liquid it should have been one side with the machine and the other with how you normally put on foundation.
