When this came out, I would still label Morgan as "stubborn/stupid" for not killing the Wolf or any other people, but watching again I see it wasn't just a life philosophy he decided to embrace. It was the thing that brought him back from where he was. And if he makes some kind of exception, he's afraid he's gonna go back to what he was, like a junkie using the drug again.
This is a favourite episode for me. Not only for the deep breath it gives after last episode and Glenns death. But Lennie James (Morgan) acting is absolutely amazing in this one.
I wish Eastman had a longer story he was a really interesting character and I would love to learn more about his job before the apocalypse (also wish his goat lived longer)
Can I just say how much I LOVE the fact that you are so invested in the show. Its so clear how much you genuinely care for these characters, therefore making your reactions more real. I just love how much you seem to have connected with this show :)
This is actually my favourite episode of twd for me, the story, the themes and the acting are absolutely amazing imo. This episode sheds some new light on how people view the apocalypse and how they deal with it. The only problem is imo the placement of the episode; 6x3 was a packed episode with alot of crucial stuff happening and you obviously wanna find out how alexandria will survive everything, so its imo a bit odd to put this more character based slow-paced episode behind 6x3
I’ve been waiting for you to see this episode! It was not appreciated by a lot of people and I see why, you want to know what’s happening with the other characters and I get it, but it’s such an amazing episode and I knew you would like it 😁 I really wish Eastman had made it though 😢
To answer your question if the zombie out break happened today in the US with a 90% lost to the zombies assuming all were turned and not eaten or destroyed beyond what would be considered a threat. We would be looking at about 40 mil survivors with a zombie kill quota of a whopping 9 lol Really goes to show how few of the survivors are pulling their weight around here!
5:17 Nah fr tho, when I was watching that last episode and I watched what happened with Glenn I literally was supposed to be watching over my little sister and her friend while my parents weren’t home and I wasn’t expecting it to be a huge episode (idk why) and I remember sitting there with my mouth wide open and screaming and then I running out of the room to finish the scene and then after that I closed my laptop and sat and cried (for way too long) and literally I could not bring myself to finish the episode until (it was around breakfast when I watched it) late that night and then I immediately was looking up if he was dead or not because I physically could not handle it. Glenn was my favorite character since literally ep 1 when I heard his voice when Rick was stuck in the tank. One of my favorite shows throughout my entire teenage years had Steven Yeun in it, so I was already attached before I even watched the twd. I felt like Glenn was my family too, and to not know KILLED me, so I applaud you for the self restraint because I did NOT. 😭😂
This is one of my all time favourite episodes that many refer to as a "bottle episode". I disagree as there is a lot of exposition, here, that still drives the narrative for the whole show. You cannot fit it in anywhere! I think also, we needed something different to get us past the trauma of the previous episode and, for me, the zen-like feels of this episode does just that. John Caroll Lynch does an excellent job, here, as Eastman - a troubled man having experienced first hand the kind of trauma that would destroy the mind of most people. In offering Morgan a different path, the instantly likeable Eastman gives us a credible exposition from which we can all understand how both he and Morgan could be healed to become a "better" human being. Some shows would take a season to give a similar character transformation. This show did it credibly in one episode. That, for me, is great writing, brilliant acting, wonderful storytelling. Glad you're still watching, Dan. The echoes of how we left Glenn still rattle through my mind, too, and I first saw this several years ago!
Hello 👋 Another awesome video, 👍👍 This was another awesome episode, I was so bummed we only got Eastman for one episode, RIP Eastman 😪 My only ‘what the h***’ moment was why Eastman would turn his back to the Walker and push Morgan out of the way, especially with how far into the apocalypse they are and they know better, when all he had to do was push the Walker away then take it out, 🤔😏 Have a safe and wonderful weekend, 👋😀👋
Go back and listen to the words Michonne says to Heath in the Pet Shop in 6x03. Personally i hated this episode and it remains one of my least favorite episodes. I felt Morgan's flashback didnt need to be an hour and a half long (when it aired) and SHOULD have been a conversation with Rick, not with some rando Wolf guy hes keeping prisoner instead of killing. Everything about this episode and Morgans character annoyed the hell out of me. I was very much as dark and emotionless as Carol and Rick at this point in the series lol. A lot of people hail this episode as one of the best. Idk. Lennie James is a FANTASTIC Actor. One of the best on the show. Morgan Jones annoys me beyond no end lol I hope you keep watching. It really is all entertainment at the end of the day. Steven Yeun and all the actors on the show are creating fictional work for you to enjoy. Invest in the characters. Invest in the talent. Invest in the Production.
Agreed. I thought I was the only one that feels this way. I despise this episode from day one to this day. I generally avoid it but wanted to hear Dan's feelings since last episode.
All life is Precious... 🤔?.... It is easy to claim that all Life is Precious when you have Isolated yourself from Everyone and to Not have to deal with others both friendly and Not - Frendly... To Not have to mingle, live, work, love and hate with others good and the Bad... Isolating Yourself from the world (Others) - Is cold and Selfish,it is giving up on the Reality of the real world and it is convenient and lazy to believe in a False Hope of the Big Lie.... After all there is no one there to dispute you.... There is Good... And there is Bad... You care for the good And you Fight to defend against evil for the ones that you care for and depend on you... Otherwise you are luke-worm and Pointless...
Heck I finished it early... SO! My lovely members, you can have it early ❤

the actor for morgan (lennie james) is arguably the best actor on twd. HIS PERFORMANCE IS ALWAYS TOP TIER
It’s not just a tv show…they ARE our family!
I wish Eastman had a longer story he was a really interesting character and I would love to learn more about his job before the apocalypse (also wish his goat lived longer)
I like this episode a lot. Also, thank you for the early release!
You bet ☺️🙌

Great reaction as always Dan. I’ve always loved this episode, Eastman is such a fantastic character as Morgan’s mentor ❤
I agreee, such a shame he couldn’t be around for longer 🥺🥺🥺
New member here! Great reaction as always! I feel the same way that you do... I can't think of anything but Glenn.
Hi!! 👋 - So good to have you here my friend :D
i feel you dan!!!! this is much more than a tv show for me as well
Googling any issue has the potential to spoil multiple other issues and is never a good idea.
Great episode. I remember at the time it was so polarizing, but I think nowadays almost everyone appreciates it.

I absolutely love this episode. I love this SEASON. So many of my favorite episodes are in this one, can’t wait for you to get through more of it!

Aw, I knew you would love Eastman and find in him a kindred spirit.
Fun fact the ratio of humans to walkers is 5000:1 7:40
I dig these "breather" episodes. And love that music.
Oh my goodness, I did the exact thing when the last episode aired. I wouldn't believe Glenn was dead.

Glenn's death is so sad. poor maggie
Perfect episode.
Perfect reaction.
Keep up the awesome work 🤩
The ratio humans to walkers is apparently 1:5000 so i've read somewhere. That's how much it would take to eliminate every walker on earth 😂
Looking things up will spoil the show, the show gets very hard but you just have to keep watching til the end!

This is an underrated episode imo but the placement of it was weird. Coming off the heels of the last episode it’s just a weird vibe.
Amazing reaction
do you get uploads a few days before if you become a member?
I know it's hard but plz don't give up
You seem like you'd be my favorite little brother 😂

It's ok to be wrong.
We all had to accept what happened. We are here for you. Glenn definitely hit hard.
