By the time I found a store that sold it they were sold out and these is no way I can get it on the secondary market. I do hope Bandai does a re-release. The American version picture not having the propellers is cartoon accurate. In the cartoon, the propellers make the sword so if it’s holding the sword, it took the propellers off. Bandai has very good attention to detail.
The fun thing is every time you pick this one up you find more little hidden things. The articulation is much better than you are expecting, so you tend to baby it at first. Also in the next video hopefully Josh shows all the hidden release buttons to take things apart. For example the big red square on the chest unlocks the head. That’s why he fired the head off.
Can you do a disengagement video for both SOC Voltrons. I fine them hard to disenage back to their vehicle/lion forms without feeling like I am using too much force?

Not sad, just tired. I just moved into a new house 2 weeks ago and it's been constant unpacking and assembling ikea furniture. This was the first time I actually got to sit down with a toy in weeks. Thanks for the kind words though. I have a huge backlog of toys to review, so hopefully I will kick into gear with the new year.
Looking forward to opening mine when I have time and not so wiped out from work. And as much I hope we hear Tryon 3 announced in the 2020 SoC line, if they did Lothor's Robeast combiner from Fleet of Doom that would be incredible.
First of all don’t complain about not getting a free figure. You are dude on UA-cam doing reviews on your kitchen table. Second of all you are complaining about scale? Did you watch the series? The animation wasn’t even accurate at times. Also the holes on Rickrugger 12 and 13 were present on the original. And do you really want to cheapen the look of a $325 figure with cheap plastic wheels? I mean most people are not going to care about fake treads because they aren’t going to most likely push it around.
Actually, 1. I've been doing UA-cam reviews for almost 20 years, 2. In the past we worked closely with Bandai, Bluefin, and others, and occasionally we got free toys. I was commenting that times had changed. 3. I grew up in the 80s watching Voltron. I have fond childhood memories of coming home after school and watching them on TV before we had cable. I got my first Vehicle Voltron in 1985 when I was 12 years old. So yeah I've seen the series. 4. As a collector who has been in it for a long time, I have seen rubber on toys disintegrate over the years. I also understand that many collectors enjoy, I don't know, playing with toys. So as a reviewer I have to comment on if it is a good collectible, and is it a good TOY. If you want someone who handles these things with cotton gloves, look someplace else.

The neck also extends. You forgot to pull the head piece out a bit.

Dai-X is just such an iconic design for me just like Dairugger. The two big bots other than Optimus Prime and Macross VF’s!
