Had me at KLF. And the use of the electronic drum kit is great, I feel like it has so much more potential yet to be tapped by EDM artists. And what about real drum kits rigged with both live mics and triggers? that way you can have a drummer laying down the groove, while a producer or engineer can cater to the vibe of the set and the tracks, by dynamically selecting between triggered samples and the mic inputs, and whatever effects may be appropriate. probably someone is already doing this, but if i haven't seen it yet that means it being way underutilized....
This is where I’m convinced smartphones have killed clubbing. People filming a set? People standing still while a song is playing, staring at their phones. What happened to dance like no-one is watching?

A problem is that it is probably expensive and a pain in the ass for organizers to arrange for it because everything is catered to DJs.
