I watched other how-to videos before this one and was just about to give up on being able to hook up my wireless headphones and soundbar with a splitter to my TV. Yours is the first one I watched that I understood, not over my head. I felt so proud of myself when I turned it all on and everything paired correctly, sound came out where it was intended to.. lol. Thank you, you saved me a lot if money I'd have spent hiring a tech.
Many thanks for this video! My old TV didn't have a headphone jack, so I used the component cable method and it works! Now I can watch TV using my bluetooth earbuds and not disturb other folks in the house. I'm in heaven - thanks again!!
I have watched quite a few videos to hook up blue tooth earbuds and they were awful. I am not a techie that’s for sure but I am reasonably adept at following directions. Your video was concise and extremely easy to follow. Your video was clearly the best of the ten or so I watched. Keep up the good work and thanks.
I'm know enough to know that I don't know enough tech stuff. Thank you for very clear instructions of how to connect my blue tooth earbuds. I was about to resign trying to do this. I'll order a receiver soon!
IThis is the only way I could even get the buds to pair Thank you so much for being so easy to follow!! But I did everything you said but no sound is coming thru the earbuds. What do I do now? Can you please help ASAP. I am trying so hard to get this connected for my 91 yr old mom's xmas gift....so she'll be able to hear the tv better.
I have this exact set... it worked fine when i had it plugged into the Dish joeyl.. but getting rid of ;that and using Roku and when i hook up to my tv... i get no sound... any idea why?
Can you help with using a Bluetooth headset and having audio from the tv also play. I need louder volume so I bought a headset but then I would be the only one able to hear the tv. Any suggestions please
I am able to pair both the earphones and transmitter with my mobile phone. However I have followed your guide but for the life of me, my Bluetooth ear phones will not pair with the Bluetooth receiver/transmitter device. The Bluetooth transmitter is connected to the TV with a 3.5mm audio jack. Pressing longer on the power button than the recommended time for both the earphones and the transmitter just turns them off. Have you any further advice you can offer for this situation? Is it possible that 2 Bluetooth devices may be incompatible in terms of pairing?
On a TV that does not have Bluetooth connectivity, when using either of these devices, and you want to listen to the TV without the headphones, how do you do that? Also will this interfere with other Bluetooth devices in the house. For example, I use a 32" TV as my computer monitor. I have a Bluetooth speaker connected via a Bluetooth dongle connected to my computer. Sometimes instead of picking up audio from my computer, the speakers grab audio from the wife's TV in the bedroom. Will that be a problem here?
So frustrating - all steps followed, connected via Digital Audio Out, Airpods paired (i can hear the chime through the airpods). Still no sound from tv. Giving up now to go shopping for a tv with Bluetooth.
One sends out a signal and one receives it, like if you want to use BT headphones with a TV that does not have BT you need a transmitter since you are sending out the sound from the TV to the headphones. All BT headphones have built in receivers, thats how they are able to play sound in your ears.
I Found Out A Simple Solution I Thought I Needed A Whole Bunch of Wires To Make My Smart Tv That Doesn,t Support Bluetooth To Make Sound Come Out My Wireless Headphones Work When I Play My Xbox One I Went And Bought The Wires Just To Found Out All You Have To Do Is If You Have A Transmitter Is Hook A Headphone Jack To The End Of The Transmitter Where It Says Transmitter And The Other End To Where It Say,s Phones On The Front Of Your Receiver Then Take Another Headphone Jack Wire Plug It To The Port The Your Gaming Headset Goes Into And Plug It in That Port And Also Take The Other End Of The Wire And Attach It To A Red And White Cable And Hook It Up In The Back Of Your Receiver In Either Aux Cd Or Tape And I Had My surround Sound Coming Out My Bluetooth Wireless Headphones You Just Have To Make Sure Both Controllers Have Alot Of Power To Do This To Where You Can Play For A Real Long Time Before Recharging The Controllers Again!
NOT A BLUETOOTH RECEIVER !.... don't you mean a Bluetooth transmitter .... you keep saying receiver.....there are transmitter/ receivers....but in this application you should be talking about using the transmitter aspect of the bluetooth device to transmit the sound from the TV ...... to send sound to the earphones..... a receiver would do the opposite it would send a signal to the TV...of course not in this application since your dealing with earphone.... so your "transmitting " sound to earphones using a Bluetooth transmitter !!!!!! Be careful folks there is a difference between a Bluetooth transmitter and a Bluetooth receiver.....some units do both some don't...in this case you need a transmitter to transmitter the sound to the headset....read the specs on the products !!
CRAP - nothing replace native bluetooth - using those adapters is bad, you will get syncing issues between video and audio, like most if not all of those devices that work with CRT or non bluetooth capable TVs, so if you like watching out of sync A/V, then it's good for you

This video totally helped me out with the same scenario. Thank you!

How can I broadcast audio on both the TV and wireless headphones at the same time?
do you mean bluetooth transmitter
He means a transceiver
If the headphone jack is used on the tv, does that cut out all sound for others in the room?

Never mind. It appears neither of these products are currently available so the issue is moot.
i have 2headrush headphones that are wireless and have hooked them up with the optical and get no sound what do i do ?
Another great vid :)
You are talking very well
Will this work on a crt tv I'm trying to watch laserdisc at night
You're a lifesaver, thank you!
Think I'm SOL, no headphone audio out, no Digital Audio Out, and no RCA Outs, on the TV set I have. And the soundbar only supports signal inputs...
SO it works?
Taking the sound output from the phono sockets will not render the sound unavailable for others.
So frustrating - all steps followed, connected via Digital Audio Out, Airpods paired (i can hear the chime through the airpods). Still no sound from tv. Giving up now to go shopping for a tv with Bluetooth.
These are not receivers. They are Bluetooth transmitters.
So glad I read your comment early on. This has saved me more time and trouble! Thanks!!
These items are no longer avail on amazon. :(
Doesn't work for a Tv without output mine it has only input right.....
What’s the difference between Bluetooth receiver and Bluetooth transmitter

I have a BT adapter but when switching to Netflix on the TV I get no sound. Why?
Karen H i have the same problem, what i can do?
Once you've paired your bluetooth headphones, how do you switch between headphones and tv speaker without unplugging the transmitter?
GarShar Simpson for the TV setting, you'll see an option for audio out or something
sir my led is not smart but it has bluetooth so how can i pair my bluetooth headphone with it ? pls help i will sub you

I’m
So lost and can’t figure this out
The only issue I encounter is the bluetooth earphone cannot pair with the transmitter... p.s. it's apple airpod.
Apple only works with specific devices....good luck !!!

So..receiver, not transmitter?
Transceiver
No.....just buy a decent bluetooth Transmitter !
they wont pair for me
Make sure to follow all the steps. Sometimes pair mode requires you to hold button for longer than 5 seconds

Not at all, if you get a good one they actually work quite well especially with bluetooth 5.0
Can you talk in tamil please
