As someone who has to watch the VoD, deeply appreciate the return of the art reel :)
"I would eat a whole bag of baby carrots"
"Don't"
Me currently eating the last baby carrot from the bag: 👀
2:42:39: Greckles would have the anime "push up glasses with index finger", Task would be "stickman holding coffee cup with toes while hands are grasping his chin", Borky would be "woman looking around confused" , Panic is "stroking imaginary beard" if he wasn't an eel, Remy is "hands making a diamond", and Seika would be just "head in hands and dark swirly cloud over his head"
If Monty's brother falls asleep...
Best Rouse Takahata.
The amount of dead house Santa’s puns. Is dead horse kick-lotta.
@@douglaszelazny1094 I'm doing it to make fun of the guy in charge of DHS, Dennis Dyack. Also known as the idiot founder of Silicon Knights, a company that never put out a good game without a ton of help from other people. Eternal Darkness? Nintendo essentially co-developed the game. Blood Omen, the game that founded the Legacy of Kain series that Connor keeps using to drum up hype for DHS? Co-developed by Crystal Dynamics who ended up with the rights to the series while leaving the Blood Omen 1 rights in such a legal snarl that piracy of the PS1 .ISO and emulation is the only way to even play the damn game because the PC version was made for Windows 95 and can be given no official support or updated rerelease because of said legal snarl.
Then there's dear Denny's passion project Too Human, where he had the pure hubris to use Unreal Engine code after suing Epic Games because they supposedly gave his team no help implementing engine features. The result of course was a complete recall of physical copies of the game from retail stores and an online delisting as it was now illegal to sell the game.
But most gamers should be familiar with this bit of gaming history anyways, so I guess this is just a...Whole Bunch O'Drama.
This is why I like Remy, he's the straight man of the group, that's never hesitates to call out the party when they do something morally wrong. Oh and hi Bosco!
He's also the guy who ruins parties... but that's okay, since its Bosco... :-P
i like having him in the party because he causes conflict in the party in a way thats more roleplay than (big number i burn you sheet now) witch is not a good kind. i just like the roleplay conflict he brings. everyone has moral standards his are just more realistic than most dnd character who are played like its a game (witch it is but its a ¨roleplaing¨ game) and most people wouldent mindlessly kill people for fun. i dont think the party would be nearly as interesting without remy (good on bosco for playing a flawed character despite the backlash from the fanbase)
I have my issues with Remy (as intended I'm sure, he has a notable stick in the ass at times), but his interactions with Greckles between the end of last episode and the first half of this one is a time where I'm fully on his side. Both in terms of knowing his background and, thus, his personal reason for being upset at seeing royal guards being used as glorified chum but also in terms of him embodying less of the Lawful and more of the Good side of Lawful Good.
Greckles was/is a legitimate hypocrite for what he did. He just had an arc basically all about finding God and devoting himself to religion and the like...yet here he is, openly desecrating the bodies of innocents for a minor tactical advantage. I understand they are friends and devoted to him, but I almost wish that Remy or Seika would've called Greckles out more for reducing the bodies of dead guards who gave their life trying to defend the citadel from attack (and may have even been parents to the orphans the party met) as basically useful just for a minor battle tactic and try to spin it as "respecting their sacrifice" by using them in a way to help fight mook enemies...something he could easily have recreated with a cantrip like Minor Illusion.
Like imagine if Remy asked Greckles if he would use his body like that if he found him dead. Greckles obviously wouldn't and would say as much, but then that would reveal his hypocrisy and double standard. I honestly would love to see Greckles actually challenged on this, but doubt we'll see it considering he's been this way for a while. Like him talking about burning down all of the Arcanaloth's gathered knowledge as an abomination, despite it being a legitimate treasure trove of lost historical knowledge. Never forget Book Burner Greckles.
This episode's One Piece reference:
Panic: Gomu Gomu no
Remy and Borky: Dont you dare
Panic: collateral damage
when is the Gomu Gomu no moment
@@SirSolomonAriel taking them into center of the room and using thunderwave
The start is like watching one of the earlier episodes and the nostalgia is making me sad. It is a good sadness.
Loving spicy Remy. Gotta love when NPCs have decent characterisation. Now back to the listening to the episode...
Oh yeah, I almost forgot...
Hi Bosco.
I like pissed Remmy, I don't think i've seen him this worked up sense the silver king taking willow. Also Hi Bosco great job, you and Taka were my inspirations for getting into voice acting.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who remembers NESW like that
5e Polymorph is weird, "you now have the mental stats of the creature you transformed into". So you're non-sapient now? Can you even remember the battle plan? Does that mean others can use the Handle skill on you now? There's a reason why PF1 kept the mental stats when using Polymorph spells, because someone was going to ask if they could tame the polymorphed dragon/dog, and now I guess they can.
I know it can't be forever, but dang do I want Mark to be a regular cast member, even if he doesn't necessarily play Seika anymore! He's just a genuine peach to have on the show!
Monty: "Okay, they don't have any eels with them now to mess with the encounters."
Connor: "W-Eel see about that!"
Hi Bosco!
So, this is gonna sound like background dm'ing, it may be, all I know is that that bag of holding totally got destroyed as soon as they opened it since panic was still an eel and couldn't cast tiny hut to get in his hole or the bag. I will always love the game and I've been here since episode 1. Love you all and sorry if this sounded like background DM'ing, you all do you.
@@drogonthelizardfolkranger1702 storage capacity, a bag of holding is not infinite space(at least based on DMG), and to my knowledge, you don't have to think if things entering the bag, just removing. Thus, opening the bag underwater would have it take in as much as it could before exploding.
Edit: as I said in the first comment, dm's ruling, the rules are suggestions, not stone set. I only bring it up because she was having them open the hole in the tiny hut.
abyssal chicken, despite the name are from the abyss canonically but also found on the first layer of hell
so hell chicken
What an interesting title for this one. Hi Bosco.
@@drogonthelizardfolkranger1702 Never heard that one before.
Dear Totally Not Going to be Eaten by Elemental Shark Oni Heroes,
Hi Taka.
Sincerely,
Adeptus Chocolatus.
P.S: Zipp zapp crackley wack, life is but a... eel?
The abyssal chicken just makes me think of that one swe&d campaign, where they went to hell, and the saw their version of a chicken

Sergeant : I've come to assert dominance.
56:01
Borky(Drago Blodvist voice) : Now we have a fight !
3:06:00 - 3:07:00 I felt Zito's omg moment when Monty said the potions name. I was like " yes. We need that."
Big fan of Bosco/Remy this week. Both chastising the party for being morally reprehensible, and making sure that gaijin stops trying to stealth his way through this brute force dungeon. Love you gaijin, but please, Monty has made it kinda clear to just push with force
while I agree it wasn't right to use the body like that I wouldn't call it "morally reprehensible" this is war and they plan to win it. It's nothing compared to what the onis are doing. also the "brute force" dungeon hasn't really been that. almost every time they use stealth or clever tricks they benefited. with surprise rounds, they kill the mobs faster which means fewer resources used that can be used during the boss. if Monty wanted this place to be FULL brute force she wouldn't have added the loud waterfall that blocks noise from fights. It's Remy being dumber than Bocky for wanting to use action surge DURING THE FIRST FIGHT. And don't give me "BUT ROLEPLAY" It's ok to metagame a tiny bit if it means helping the team in the long run.
I get tired of people always trying to make some plan, especially in a high level party. Sometimes you just gotta go stomp goblins
@@superdragonite1000 My issue is that this primarily came from Greckles, the guy whose character arc has been finding God and has had several moments of (trying to be) religious and righteous.
Guy goes from trying to practice ceremonial dawn practices and even considering full on zealot book burning with the repository of knowledge they found when confronting the Arcanaloth, to desecrating corpses of dead innocents (some of whom may be parents of the orphan children left behind in the citadel) for a minor tactical advantage against mook enemies, the effect of which could have been recreated by Minor Illusion.
Task may have came forward here to Remy to take the brunt of blame for suggesting the plan, but Greckles still agreed even despite clear discomfort from Seika and his own new morality. Greckles just comes off as a hypocrite, doing basically whatever he wants as long as it suits him (embracing religion if it means becoming close with Solly, but then using the corpses of innocent guards and potential parents for glorified chum for a round of damage against a nobody opponent). And that would be fine if that were actually his character, but he's played straight as this righteous lost prince with a grand destiny. Which is why I'm with Remy: not necessarily mad, just disappointed. And honestly, I wish he would get called out more, but he hasn't yet despite this being nothing new and it's his arc so even less chance of him getting anything but his "shining moment."
@@Mrryn Good lord I ain't seen a harder misread of a character in a while! Greckles is a shinobi: a combat pragmatist who's literally trained to use arson and misdirection to complete his objectives , that's why he was willing to burn the archive "as a last resort" and why he's got no qualms using dead bodies in the middle of a resource draining dungeon crawl where every ploy needs to work, he cares about accomplishing the objective more than what looks good to others. Notice how he's never stolen anything more valuable than a punch bowl (and Helga ASKED him specifically for it) even when ample opportunities have arisen, AND been mocked for it during the Task's arc? It's not needed to steal, so he doesn't do it. It might be necessary to burn an archive full of knowledge to get his friends (and a hostage!) away from a Fiendish spellcaster, so the option was on the table for him *as a last resort*. Hard to call it zealotry or hypocrisy when it's really just another means to an end for his primary objective: keeping his friends safe.
As for Solly, Gaijin's had Greckles dedicate tons of roleplay time to pursuing more information and being better integrated with the Orun Clergy independent of her affections, and it's pretty clear she just introduced a new way of life that he sees as an important part of his new identity in his new home. For crying out loud, he chose to convert with a bunch of Clerics who had nothing to do with Solly on an island miles from her influence. I actually feel kinda bad because this whole phoenix thing has really put that aspect of his character on the brakes now.
Long story short, I also appreciate Remy calling out the callous actions being taken and breaking the overplanning, because its a good part of his character and VERY well acted, and there are choices Gaijin's made for Greckles that I don't agree with, but this armchair psychoanalysis of Greckles seems cynical at best and disingenuous at worst!
Killer work with the slideshow art look forward to seeing the next episode. Also hello to all who read this :)
I always wanted to look at the art streams when it first started but I didn't have twitch so I'm really happy about this development
My phone hates twitch, so I feel your pain.
*SPOILER*
I was half expecting Task to rip into Remy for just barging in like that. It seems out of character a bit for him to do something that reckless, while *knowing* the level of danger they're in just by being there.
I know this is late but the party seemed unfazed by most combats
I like the art slideshow, but I am concerned that the bestest boy isn't being over fed.
Panic learned the eelectric slide
Remy casts "I'm not mad I'm just disappointed" dealing 20d12+12 psychic damage
Hello everyone. I’m finally here. All caught up.
3 months of binging at work, at home, in between.
7 months of marathoning Unexpectables and i am finally at long last where i left off to see what happened before this episode. I am back. Next goal is to catch up before episode 200. I'll see you there!
How crazy that CR and the unexpectables upload at the same day.
Sus
Somebody once told the worlds gonna roll me
Speaking of Raggarak, imagine if a War Cleric Sahuagin Baron, 100% dedicated to this “God of Banditry”, starts gathering bandits and brigands on their home continent. They would literally build a nation, and make Raggarak more than just some demon god! I imagine the country would be inspired by India and Hinduism (like the Eastern Isles is inspired by Japan)

This is such an amazing campaign. On a side note... 2:56:49 Any other gem/jewelry/mineral nerds get excited when a DM reads the gemstones a party finds? Or wonder what colors some of the gems are? I mean, the tourmaline gems are probably black. But what about the zircons? Clear maybe? Probably brownish. These are the thoughts that haunt me.
Panic, the wrecker of hordes
Clicks video & hears memes :D
A great way to start. I cant wait to see whats in store for this video.
It's kind of weird that Skarbles could potential speak with goblins who have never breathed air.
Plot twist: that was a bag of devouring.
Holy shit I'd love that.
I've missed the art SO much
Can't wait to see the vod for montys OoT to update.
Also, knowing how Bosco likes to mess with the viewers, I'm shocked he's yet to make a "smooth sharks" comment.
Idk what’s more electric
Panic, or the groups energy during combat!
It's water temple fun time!

Hey Bosco. Gaijin, obviously the MC’s of Pokemon Legends Arceus are ninjas, did you see the Female MC’s hair? It’s blue. Ninja confirmed
Welcome to Pi's Nit-Picks where for personal reasons I go through new episodes of The Unexpectables and nit-pick it of any instance where how they play and RAW don't line up in a cinemasins-esque manner.
Spoiler alert: because of how this works, I might have to go into spoiler territory but I'll try to be subtle about it.
Disclaimer:
I am not telling anyone how to play dungeons & dragons. It's their game, not mine.
These are not criticisms, these are nit-picks.
Yes I have heard of house rules, thanks for asking.
Nit-Picks:
50:03 :The attack should’ve automatically missed as it’s targeting a creature beyond the weapon’s normal range underwater, or it should at the very least have disadvantage.
51:02 : Task’s archery fighting style would’ve applied to these attack rolls.
56:40 : Being on a mount doesn’t extend your reach, so Borky would’ve had to throw his trident.
1:12:30 : No, you use the creature’s constitution modifier.
Edit:If you have answered this question I'm sorry!
Hey Man, great nit picks, they make me wanna add a few custom rules and flavour things to my games to allow for these as I'm sure these problems come up allot.
On a different topic how do you feel about Monty's decision to disallow overrun and tumble? I feel like it adds more weight to positioning in a grid combat game, and makes for intense situations, but certainly makes classes with low hp and ac more squishy.
Do you like the change?
I'm suprised no peices of lies has reached out to greckles yet
Yeah it’s a bit odd. They were doing it in the material plane.
I suspect it’s actually the identity of Kai.
@@franciscobautista9379 maybe the piece got corrupted by the oni and Greckles need to find out how to cleanse it and gain it. Or there's going to be a part 2 of greckles ark and they're going to the Eastern Isles to deal with the village Greckles grew up. Just a hunch though.
Wow, that diamond covers the entirety of Panic's debt to Ayla!
He already payed, it was 5 K not 50
@@Amine_Tr Monty specifically said "put a 0 behind that buddy" when Panic gave her the 5 platinum.
@@thunderthebright8469 The diamond she used normally costs 500 gold, as per the raise dead spell. Add a 0 on to that you get 5K. It was payed off after they got the frost salamander skins. Panic gave 5 platinom at first because he assumed a platinom equals 100 gold.
I thought he already paid it off
Seika has mastered the nerd beating up science of mixed martial arts.
If this campaign ends it has to do it like the hobbit but it’s merl writing the book instead of Bilbo
I like it but alternate suggestion it's willow since that seems to be the self insert character for monety
Connor, that won't stop the puns...
Told you
Don't know if Zito reads the comments, but I just wanted to say that I bought one of his races off of DMs Guild; the Kangaroo boys. My friends and I are about to embark on a Curse of Strahd campaign, and I've made him a Storm Sorcerer, who's just gonna punch dudes. How long do you reckon before he dies?
1 hour into the episode and I'll say it again Remi is amazing I would go to war with him......I hate his Prince Division character....you're amazing Bosco you can get 2 equal reactions out me your acting is amazing 👏😁😁
5 stars Episode .... Remy your my favorite in the episode and Greckles each episode improves MvP ...
When Remy, borky, and Saika open the door, i imagine the pillerman theme.
Totally thought Connor was going to say "DeadMouse Sonata"
Task the team accountant, very fitting!
Seeing that all the ads are gone brings out a new happiness
10:30 One time i had minon tic tacs that was incredibly cursed.
TLDR: Bosco should actively participate more and Gaijin should do better morally
Just my personal opinion,
Bosco/Remy has no right to be mad about using the body as bait when he could've done something about it but his anger/disappointment as a character is justified as Gaijin/Greckles is completely in the wrong for doing it
Gaijin has been trying to get miles out of his Minor Illusion this whole quest and when the perfect enemy is presented, he defaults to defiling a corpse of someone's loved one acting as if it's no big deal since they're already dead
It really makes me happy to see that "includes paid promotion" tag
As an Australian, this title hurts me
As a degenerate it makes me cringe
Hi Bosco! Hope you're having a good day when you read this. Some good roleplay moments with Remy too!
Oh the mic drop from Connor lol
Is it possible to shrink the faces so can see the dice rolls
Appreciate you, Bosco.
Hi Bosco keep up the good work 👍
Love the episode wish I could catch it live.
When this is all said and done with all the elemental planes. You guys should call the episode the elemental heroes. Yugioh reference. Clearly panic is sparkman after this
So happy they got another carrying item, was hoping for that for a while now. Now let's hope task can keep his money longer now
FANNY PACK OF HOLDING
Hey Bosco could you ask Taka to put episode 13 of the Prince Division into the playlist. Thank you.
Things that turn me on: Coming into a loot room that as big as scrooge's bank vault.
Hey Bosco, love the content you and the crew make.
