A point i would like to add is while the movie is getting what it truly deserves, the movie has regenerated livelihood for those associated with cinemas that dried down during pandemic. In a way you have give life to many Vivek and Pallaviji and all associated with the movie! God bless.
I had hoped Vivek would’ve inter-dispersed a few actual victims interviews throughout the film. It would’ve added additional gravitas. That being said this was such a tough film to watch … when it ended the cinema just sat in stunned silence. Respect from South Africa 🙏🏽

As a kid in late 60s and 70s, any harikatha or bayalaata was a must go for us. Even our elders encouraged us to watch them whenever there was one. SD makes a very good point there. It is also shocking to learn about JNU foreign food stall incident. We should prosecute individuals and institutions who encourage such activities.

I’m from Patna and live in New York and my wife and I went to see The Kashmir Files in a theater and it was a full house. J Sai Deepak’s book “India That is Bharat” is a great read.
A point i would like to add is while the movie is getting what it truly deserves, the movie has regenerated livelihood for those associated with cinemas that dried down during pandemic. In a way you have give life to many Vivek and Pallaviji and all associated with the movie! God bless.

Other than good articulation, Indians also need to get at same level as Rest of the world/ West; needs to accelerate. Honestly, I can't watch this movie because I studied its history and when I saw the trailer tears were rolling down my cheeks, I don't have the heart to watch the whole movie, I often argue with my friends when a Muslim fall victim to a pogrom I always hear this excuse that how many Muslims were killed since independence but why nobody discusses how many Hindus were massacred since Islamic invasion of Indian Continent...Somebody should publish a book on it

As a kid in late 60s and 70s, any harikatha or bayalaata was a must go for us. Even our elders encouraged us to watch them whenever there was one. SD makes a very good point there. It is also shocking to learn about JNU foreign food stall incident. We should prosecute individuals and institutions who encourage such activities.

I would like to point out here that around the same time when the kashmir files is released, a Tamil film called FIR has been released which is produced by udayanidi Stalin, son of the chief minister Stalin, glorifying a fictional sacrifice of a muslim mother and son. The film noticeably has evil intension of glorifying the minority community. It even portrays a brahmin girl chasing after and falling in love with a Muslim boy. They have specifically inserted the dialogue mentioning the girl is brahmin. Such movies should be boycotted.

Giving true narrative of our history and news should be the duty of an honest government.Instead we have to depend to few such honest directors who have gone through the suffering first hand. Similar movies should be made about Moplah riots, partition riots, Great Calcutta killings, 1971 genocide of Bangladeshi Hindus, etc and all Indian muslims should be made to watch it. If they do not repent for it their Indian citizenship should be revoked immediately and they should be transferred to Pak/Bangla as wanted by Dr.Ambedkar, the father of our Constitution as they had voted for Pakistan in the 1946 muslim referundum.
