What type of seats are those that you installed? Also did you place down special tracks for the seats to sit on? Awesome vid !!!! Waiting on my ragtop 325.i E30 to get out the shop, but looking for seats on the driver side in the meantime!
Hi Philip. They are BMW E30 M3 Recaro Speed seats. You can find them as Recaro speed Sr2 or Sr3. And still possible to buy the runners for the seats. Hope you will have your car back soon. ;)
Very nice car man, did you use the abs from the donor car ? and did you go with the 5x120 conversion using the e46 hubs to make everyting work (reading the abs wheel sensors ...) ?
@@KissMotorWorks thank you very much for the answer , i am going for the e46 hub with adapter and e38 brembo caliper with e46 330i disk brake on the front , and e46 330i disk and caliper( with adapter ) on the rear with e90 hub , to much braking power for non-abs , i will use m3 e46 pump as standalone unit .
Lovely build man. Does everything on the S54 cluster work the same as it would in an E46? If so, how hard was it to get it wired. I looked up getting an S54 cluster in an E36 and learned that it is allegedly extremely hard due to the different inputs of E46 and E36 clusters (don't know the technical terms, as I know next to nothing about wireing tbh). And did you have to cut it to fit the E30 dash?
Idk about what he did specifically but he has e46m rearview mirror, overhead lamp, hazards/door lock button, and I believe an e46m fusebox under the glovebox. I’d assume he just took some personal preference items and everything else he needed to connect an e46m cluster to an s54 and also make it work without any major issues and added it to the car, presumably all controlled by a standalone unless he got the dmes to play nice outside of an e46m (or just took every sensor that would cause an issue and put it in the car)
@@PeteHSM The car has the complete e46 m3 chassis loom with all e46 m3 electric. So that`s why everything is works standard. No standalone ecu. All coded to e30. :)

Hello. I’m running with a 3.91 ratio 8 clutch LSD with 45% lock. I had no problem at all. Engine has only 63k miles. New vanos and bearings done. ua-cam.com/video/9ZRXreJDtkI/v-deo.html

I have a manual gear box with mine and decided on a M3 325.1 I think diff. 33,000 on it and as I just bought it, same as you, doing the bearings and rod something or another lol.. seeing your car and vids.. well I just can’t wait. Typically I'd question the SMG but I feel like its very fitting with the motor in an E30. nicely done sir.

Thanks mate. Yes I'm using the e46 m3 abs. I have e36 m3 evo hubs on the front and e36 compact rear subframe on the back.

Sorry for the late answer, I missed your question. Everything is work on the dash because I am running a complete e46 m3 chassis loom.

Hi. There is no step by step instructions for this. Just fit everything from e46 m3 to your e36.
