We LOVED Firenze! So funny that my guy and I enjoyed many of the same places as the two of you, especially in Florence. The gelato stops, restaurants, meal choices, churches, museums - David, Michelangelo Piazza, leather stores, and yes Matt the aperol spritz did taste like DayQuil! One side adventure we would recommend during your return - learn to ride a Vespa under the Tuscan sun! It was soo exhilarating!

Since I've visited Florence many times with the charity group that I organize to travel all over the country and the world, I can't believe how well you did and saw so much in such a short amount of time in Firenze! Wow, I was there, I feel like in a former lifetime, decades ago!!!! I LOVED Florence, then Venice and finally Rome! All three were absolutely AMAZING!!!! Trip of a lifetime when there weren’t long lines and we went on a tour that arranged all of our tours to everywhere in every city. First was London, then Paris, Switzerland, finally Italy, all in 17 days. We were young in our early thirties and so we excited to go to Europe before having a family! Just found your channel and am so glad you guys have the opportunity to travel and make money doing it!

Next year in 2024 we will be visiting in Florence and will do The Tour Guy excursion of David after hours. Just 12 to 14 of us in the Accademia Gallery for 1 1/2 hours. How cool that will be.
I just found your blog on Florence! I had to watch! We lived there for 3 yrs! It’s a rather large city but a hometown feel. We lived in Milano for 4 yrs before we moved to is an amazing place to live. We first went there for a day/night/day stop on our way to Rome. As we were leaving the treni stazione, we both agreed that we could live here. Never imagined it would actually happen. Many of the places owed are places we have been. Sorry you missed the leather market by piazza Reppublicca. I was looking for a coat before me moved back to the states and a dealer took us to his storefront leather store…. I found my coat! To prove it was real Italian leather, the sales lady put a ice lighter on my coat sleeve to prove it doesn’t burn. Now I about freaked out but wow! Italy is our second home and can’t wait to back for a visit next year! Ciro n Sons by the Medicci Duomo has amazing Florentine steaks too. We ate there our last night in Florence. The cool thing about Italy and it’s businesses is if you get to know them, they treat you like family! In Milano we spent a lot of our days off at Lago Como! One jewelry store owner always gave me an additional necklace for more that half the cost! YOUR VLOG MADE ME SO HOMESICK, ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Your video reminds me so much of our recent trip in June. We literally did almost everything you did (sandwiches, cathedrals, David, gelato, the Dayquil drink), but you were much more successful at the dome. We only got to the inside dome circle platform area before we had to turn around and head out. We thought we were going to die (lol!). Now every time we go anywhere (I mean anywhere) with stairs, my kids yell in unison..."No More Stairs!"
Oh dang in June?! Was it super hot then as well? Hahaha I bet!! The stairs were a lot, I think we just like torturing ourselves on “vacation” 🤣🤷🏼♀️😜 haha It’s so funny they still yell that! Haha

Awesome video. An FYI. The original artifacts from the Domo like the original gold doors are in a museum near the Domo. Or so I was told when I was there. But the museums were hard to get into during Covid, so I wasn’t able to see it. On my list for next time I go.

Florence is my favorite city in Italy! My favorite Basilica was Santa Croce which was closer to the river. They have so many people entombed there like Machiavelli and Galileo. I bought leather boots and gloves and a purse! Love the leather😍. The only thing I didn’t love was the bread served with dinner. It has no salt! All due to a 12th Century trade dispute😞

We were in Florence in May of this year...thanks for the tip on Eduardo's! Best Gelato! Know, though, the line into the cathedral goes very fast. We thought it looked very long, but we were inside in less than 10 minutes!
My husband and I just started researching for our upcoming March 2024 (2 nights) Rome trip, and, after watching this, will definitely be adding Florence to our itinerary. I loved watching this, thanks guys❤️ I particularly enjoyed the fun way you present your adventures. You get the audience into the middle of the action, and you’re very funny. I have three daughters in their twenties, and the middle one is hilarious. Beth can make me laugh just by a funny look, she is so funny she doesn’t even have to talk to make me laugh. It reminds me of Nat’s humour, she had me constantly chuckling 😂 Her Moms obsession with diamonds was very funny, lol I get the humour 🤣 Nat would fit right in as a professional comedian, she’s naturally hilarious.
I'm impressed that you guys did both the dome and bell tower in one day, back to back no less. Personally, because I'm a weakling, I think I would chose one and also go to the museum (where the doors you mentioned are), and the Batistry.

Great video! We are headed there this summer. If you had to choose one, would you choose going up the bell tower or the dome? I like that you can see the dome from the bell tower but I don’t like that the cage blocks the view especially for pictures.

I just found your blog on Florence! I had to watch! We lived there for 3 yrs! It’s a rather large city but a hometown feel. We lived in Milano for 4 yrs before we moved to is an amazing place to live. We first went there for a day/night/day stop on our way to Rome. As we were leaving the treni stazione, we both agreed that we could live here. Never imagined it would actually happen. Many of the places owed are places we have been. Sorry you missed the leather market by piazza Reppublicca. I was looking for a coat before me moved back to the states and a dealer took us to his storefront leather store…. I found my coat! To prove it was real Italian leather, the sales lady put a ice lighter on my coat sleeve to prove it doesn’t burn. Now I about freaked out but wow!
Italy is our second home and can’t wait to back for a visit next year! Ciro n Sons by the Medicci Duomo has amazing Florentine steaks too. We ate there our last night in Florence. The cool thing about Italy and it’s businesses is if you get to know them, they treat you like family! In Milano we spent a lot of our days off at Lago Como! One jewelry store owner always gave me an additional necklace for more that half the cost!

Your video reminds me so much of our recent trip in June. We literally did almost everything you did (sandwiches, cathedrals, David, gelato, the Dayquil drink), but you were much more successful at the dome. We only got to the inside dome circle platform area before we had to turn around and head out. We thought we were going to die (lol!). Now every time we go anywhere (I mean anywhere) with stairs, my kids yell in unison..."No More Stairs!"
Oh dang in June?! Was it super hot then as well? Hahaha I bet!! The stairs were a lot, I think we just like torturing ourselves on “vacation” 🤣🤷🏼♀️😜 haha It’s so funny they still yell that! Haha

Awesome video. An FYI. The original artifacts from the Domo like the original gold doors are in a museum near the Domo. Or so I was told when I was there. But the museums were hard to get into during Covid, so I wasn’t able to see it. On my list for next time I go.

Florence is my favorite city in Italy! My favorite Basilica was Santa Croce which was closer to the river. They have so many people entombed there like Machiavelli and Galileo. I bought leather boots and gloves and a purse! Love the leather😍. The only thing I didn’t love was the bread served with dinner. It has no salt! All due to a 12th Century trade dispute😞

We were in Florence in May of this year...thanks for the tip on Eduardo's! Best Gelato! Know, though, the line into the cathedral goes very fast. We thought it looked very long, but we were inside in less than 10 minutes!

I have three daughters in their twenties, and the middle one is hilarious. Beth can make me laugh just by a funny look, she is so funny she doesn’t even have to talk to make me laugh. It reminds me of Nat’s humour, she had me constantly chuckling 😂 Her Moms obsession with diamonds was very funny, lol I get the humour 🤣 Nat would fit right in as a professional comedian, she’s naturally hilarious.

If you had to choose one, would you choose going up the bell tower or the dome? I like that you can see the dome from the bell tower but I don’t like that the cage blocks the view especially for pictures.

The climb itself is more interesting and you get to see the inside of the dome. Plus, the panoramic views of the city are beautiful! Safe travels! Hope you enjoy your time in Florence!
