- If you have ever thought of going to Destin we highly recommend October when the beaches are not so crowded. We had so much fun living in the water and in the sand all week. COMMENT! Thumbs UP! SUBSCRIBE!
Thanks for all the memories I still have with my wife and kids in Destin. You just brought them all back watching your video. God Bless You , The video made tears come in my eyes because my kid are now grown and my wife isn't here anymore, she has returned to God.

I live just 5 hours away from destin and it's by far my favorite beach in the U.S... I've been going there since I was a little kid. Water is always clear, the best seafood restaurants that the gulf offers and crab island is incredible.

I dreamed of a beach like this last night, and didn't know one really existed! I can't wait to go!
We've been to beaches along the Pacific and Atlantic and the Destin area is still our favorite, especailly for families.
I have cried in my sleep because I was dreaming of that beach, & I was either waking up surrounded by a cane field or a whole bunch of snow, which was even worse, because as you heard the cutie say, "Is that snow?" To me, snow looks like sand, hahahhaaa! Especially under a big, silver, full moon! Made me cry on a bus!! Lol! I'll never be that far from home, again!

Need to do a bit of research to see how expensive a vacation would be, I need this in my life!
Rentals are soo much less expensive in October than summertime

destin is the best.my whole family went there, and we had a blast. with all the crabs. it was the best vacation i ever had in my life. the ocean is so blue and beautiful, out hotel had a pool for ourselves. best place to visit !

A local here in destin, it is the best thing you can imagine. The sand is truly like snow and even if theres red tide the beach is still amazing

made me homesick. And I have not been there in 30 years.. Loved that your kids thought that was snow. I once went on one of the sand dunes in my (faux) fur coat and got my picture done. Looked like I was standing in a whole lot of snow. LOL

C rob, we stayed just east of Henderson Beach State Park in Crystal Villas. Much quieter than the larger resorts west of the state park.
This is so gorgeous! ! This will be our first trip to Destin this year ..we're Atlantic Ocean people. This will be beautiful. I'm excited just from this vid

That is the best time to go during the fishing rodeo and you don't have the Summer crowds. Water is still warm enough too.

I just left:/ stayed from June 25 till July 2nd. Stayed at Maravilla Resorts. There was a big house you could rent right next to my condo. $800 a night.

I love destin. Best part is when we rented a boat and boated around on crab island and saw dolphins and swam right up to beaches and snorkeled :)

Destin truly has the clearest beaches in Florida. Completely opposite to the filth that is PCB.

i live here and its beautiful but sometimes they get out of control so me and my family wait till school starts because it is still in the 90s so thats when we go to the beach

Crystal Vilas which is east of Henderson State park and away from the big resorts and crowds.

Im pretty much gonna be back in Destin. It is the most beautiful place that i've ever visit. Traffic pretty bad tho, of couse, i stay here from july 1st to 8th

Next time you visit, come from october to april, roads are really calm and beach is still white

Which is better for families destin or Pensacola?
Unfortunately I've never been to Pensacola beach, only to Destin so I can't give you a good answer. We had plenty to do in Destin for the family though.
How it was the weather ?
Planing a family trip for October
christian guerrero It was perfect. We loved it so much we are planning on going back in October again. Prices are down and less crowded and perfect weather. It was typically 78-82 during the day and 55-65 at night. The water was still plenty warm for us but we are from Ohio. It is a great time to go because the fishing Rodeo is happening as well. The water was churned up the first day due to a storm that passed before we got there but after that the water was crystal clear and emerald.
since I live close to there I'm right next to Destin and usally during fall-winter the weathers usally 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit
used to be a really nice beach town R.I.P.

I lived in Destin for 6 years, and I didn't like it. We all love the places we wish we lived. I love the mountains, but I live hundreds of miles from the Smokeys. I don't like the beach.
Very true. I grew up in the desert in Phoenix and now live and love the midwest while everyone in the midwest wants to go live in the desert. Something new and different is always funner.

Dylandao0717 will have to comment on the weather but If you have not booked a room yet, the Henderson Park Inn is the MOST romantic place to stay. Things to do: Gator Beach - just walk through for free. DONT eat there. Pompano Joes and get gulf view seats one of the days you are there. Dolphin Cruise would be nice or even deep sea fishing if you are into that. We suggest Swoop for cheap group deep sea fishing. You can also rent boats yourself and go out to crab island to explore but water is likely cold. We had some of the best BBQ ever at Bucks Smokehouse. Harborwalk Village is also a lot of fun to walk around and there are lot of choices for dinner there.
