Fun facts and notes. I used these weapons until 2012 - the last video involved fighting a black titan (which took 20 minutes to kill). 1. Back in the day, max reloading meant there was no reloading at all. It would be instant. As such, Alpha Bull was better in the past because you'd never have to reload the clip like you do now. I'd still use it today even with reloading - underappreciated budget weapon. 2. Either you could afford UGAU's, or you had to use level 100's, which were the max level of gear at the time of the clips you used. Weapons like the Vulcan didn't exist until mid/late in 3D, so yeah, the Alpha Bull, USAN and XM25 were literally the best weapons for those categories you could get. It took me a long, long time to be able to afford them. The next weapons to appear where the Corpse Shooter, Corpse Blaster and the Corpse Erruptor. 3. There was no outposting and no boss-maps, so people had to run from FP to end-zone and try to last as long as possible, which usually wasn't long. Bosses would spawn every few blocks and also follow you into new blocks - usually in multiples of 5 (of all varieties at once). Even forts would be attacked by bosses quite frequently, and mothers could puke through walls. You can check videos of me taking on triple flaming wraths, FW's and FT's, GS and FGS, etc. On the flip-side, the map hadn't been expanded, so old end-zones had the exact same low-level zombies as orange zone, which made bosses (slightly) easier, at least for UGAU's. 4. I never have and never will use miniguns or unlimited weapons. I do the exact same thing I did then, except I used the Greyhawk, Painshot and Immolater -- now the AAX, Ace Barrel and Junker. Pistol-Shotgun-Grenade is (to me) the ultimate 'generalist' build. Cheap and can do everything. Unlimited miniguns would be boring if you ask me. I don't think people would have enjoyed the videos if I had been using things like that. 5. I still stream DF2 and will return to DF1 when it gets new content (and by content, I don't mean quality-of-life). I've played DF1 since old-school 2D and it hasn't changed all that much except for QoL, but I look forward to the day when it gets something fresh to explore. this setup is still being 1 of the most solid build and best bang for your buck that most non-GM all-round player love though it look like those lvl 100 weapon are not very effective now because it already obsolete in the current endzone but it worke very well back in the day that it came out because it made for the threat level around FP and here is the upgrade version that work the same way with better weapon performance for the current endzone greyhawk + AA-12 + immolatorAD (minimum) doubleshot + buckblass + junker (optimum)
Ah I miss those weapons. Also I have a trick for you when fighting bosses. Since the area is "unexplored" you have to run with the bosses past the zombies within the area, you can shoot them down too if you want (assuming the bosses are the fast ones, not slow ones). you'd want to run around the entire screen area at least 1 lap but within 2-3 laps you'll notice a big difference between the aggro from 1st arrival to after 3 laps. Because you'll be putting all the aggro into chasing you but they will be several laps behind it's like entering the "Speedforce" Dimension or maybe the zombies are all aggroing you somewhere around the middle but since we want to make it so that it's just the boss/bosses and you you need to do this, you don't even have to shoot at the bosses at first, you can speed up and rush the zombies within a lap for 1 massive big square. Might require extra speed and stamina from your survivor though.
So i've been having A LOT of de-sync issues with premiere pro and shadowplay. So if you notice some hiccups here and there, now you know why. Regardless though, Enjoy guys! I got a little annoyed when i was editing this video haha!

What that means is to circle one square (block) rather than circle the entire map. Running through the same block despawns aggro quicker, but running through different areas will refresh the horde by removing off-screen horde for new on-screen ones in unexplored areas.

It doesn't work like that. Games like Dota, League, and even HotS (which Blizzard put on ice) are over-saturated with popular streamers and content creators. Just playing a supposedly popular game does not rake in subs. It is better to be a big fish in a small pond than be a little fish in the sea. Just a shame DF1 is a drying well of content.

The first mistake a lot of people make when starting out on YT/Twitch (gaming) is to pick a game that is overloaded with content/creators already. That is partly why DF (while not huge) has some community building potential. Big fish, small pond. Having thousands of subs from DF1 doesn't really mean much. I wager most of my 10k subs are for DF1 alone - fun fact, 95% of them won't budge if you migrate to other games.
I do love my fans but I agree with what you said. Everything you said is just facts and I like how you put it! Of course, if I were to leave dead frontier entirely, my views would 100% plummet. The only way to get out of the pond is to go crazy for another 2-3 years on another game and hope for the best. The only thing is, you have to be consistent as heck. Basically, no social life, no bad upload schedules, just go all in. Which most don’t do. Honestly, if I ever decide to go 1000% into UA-cam, I’d probably take that gamble. Although, I do have a job irl. I don’t do this for a living haha. That’s why I’m happy with what I got at the moment. I can’t complain :D. Also ropedrink, we gotta make a video in the future. The community misses you.
