It’s midnight now. I am definitely making this for my lunchbox tomorrow 🤩 looks so good! Updated 18/03/22: Thank you so much, Gabie! It’s sooo good! And only takes 20 mins for me. I put shredded chicken (from the bland chicken curry I made last week, ready in the fridge) instead of pork belly. Gochujang boosts the taste massively. I didn’t put spring onions as I’m not a fan. I cut kimchi into much smaller pieces 🥰
Kimchi fried rice is one of my favourite recipes. Quick and Simple but delicious. I always use canned tuna for the meat part because you can stock a lot and no need to worry about expiration . Sometimes I use Spam too. Cheese on top is also a great option🤤
1. Squeeze juice from cabbage 2. Use half juice, half tsp gochugang, half tsp sugar, 1 tbsp soysauce, 1tbsp sesame oil -> mix 4. Half onion, scallion, mince garlic 6. Fry pork belly high heat 6. Cook all veggies tgt w meat 7. Add oil if theres no shine 8. When kimchi looks colored add rice to middle of pan 9. Pour sauce, cook until evenly colored 10. add some sesame seeds 11. Flatten rice to fry for 1min

This is almost exactly how I cook kimchi fried rice too, except for switching out the pork belly for bacon. I tend to have that to hand more frequently and mmmm, it's so good!
I agree with you 100%, Gabie. I made that kimchi fried rice all the time before switching to mostly (like 85%-90% of the time) whole food plant based. As much as i love the taste of pork and nothing can compare to the taste of kimchi sautéed in lard, my body can longer tolerate it hence i had to give it up. I still love your cooking content and i love your vlogs more.

I just try to made this used brown rice instead of using white rice. Turn out good following your steps. Maybe next time I'll add the pork belly, and green onions. Can't wait to try real authentic kimchi rice in a real Korean restaurant.

김볶하는뎅 저랑 정말 똑같아용 하지만 살짝 틀린점은 찬밥이 아니라 전뜨밥으로 만들어용 그리고
설탕대신 올리고당 감미료를 이용해용 그리고
오일은 일반 식용유보다 때로는 들기름을 이용해 식용유와 반반씩 종이컵에 계량해서 믹스해서
볶아 먹기도 해용 정말 입맛이 저랑 비슷하신것 같아용 양념 베이스 들어가는 재료 모두 정말 존똑
