It’d take me longer to find a number for our call-out company than to just do it myself. Imagine you snap one whilst on a customer site loading/unloading and blocking a pit or loading chute or something and the inconvenience that’d cause. Great idea. For anyone saying ‘call a fitter’ blah blah blah, doin it yourself could well be the difference between getting home today or tomorrow.
I shall be inspecting every truck I come across now, the new style Suzie’s will undoubtedly save money and like most good designs they look simple, but I’m sure they are not in engineering terms. Your an excellent ambassador for Wain’s
Yay a bonus video, awesome! First of all congratulations to your gift, this is indeed a very useful thing. It's incredible how fast you could change the suzie in the yard. This will save a lot of time for the drivers out on the roads. Secondly it's great to see the atmosphere at Wains is very friendly. Everybody is kind and polite, like a big family. I'm sure your boss is a cool guy, who supports his employees in everything. This update is a pleasant surprise, thank you for another entertaining and pretty informative video Jemma.
Jemma, I'm not a trucker I stumbled on your channel a while ago and just love watching your video's I find them absolutely brilliant and informative.😎😎😎👍
Good evening Jemma. I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your content and your videos. I also want to thank you for your great content and the way you explain everything about a trucker's life add everything about your Scania truck. Why are those curly air cables called Susie's? I have always wanted to know this. I have a challenge for you Jemma. I know that you can sew and I know that you have a sewing machine. My challenge to you is bring your sewing machine along to your truck and see if you can get it working in your truck? Then go on to make yourself some clothes and do some pattern making as well if you can do it? My second challenge to you is this. Bring a lot of hair care and styling products along with the load of makeup and see if you could do a hair and makeup routine in your truck? Bring things like hair straighteners. Hair curling tongs and a hair dryer. I would really like to see if you can achieve all this went out and about in your truck? By the way I enjoyed your cooking video when you prepared all your food in advance. That video was very enjoyable to watch. Can you get things like laptops working in trucks and can you receive Wi-Fi in your truck? I am just really curious whether you can achieve getting all this stuff done in a truck? Jemma. Again thank you very much for your content and keep the good videos coming. As I just love watching your videos. Jemma. You are one very awesome trucker lady add you are great to watch. I look forward to you answering my questions. Take care of yourself while you're driving your truck and all my best wishes. Pure.
He seems a good boss Jemma, 8ts refreshing to have a boss that shows interest in things. The quick push in connectors are good and the lock to hold them is better plus can't be stolen without damage, good work Jemma..
@@blackbob3358 To be honest, if his truck is back on the road within 5 minutes earning money rather than costing money with a call out and a lost load, of course he's going to like it. Susies breaking happens all the time, particularly in cold weather. The kit costs the same as a call out. Add in a spare set of airlines, and one break has more than paid for itself. Looking at it, standard coils will fit on the quick release fittings on the broken airline, which can be done at the next inspection for minimal cost or even back in the yard by a driver with access to suitable spanners and a vice. It's a no brainer.
This is the sort of stuff that makes the channel interesting and different from the humdrum of the many other predictable / mediocre channels👍👍👍 For the record your boss seems like a decent bloke too .Cheers from Australia
Great system, anything that makes life easier for drivers gets my vote, I just wish they had been around 40 yrs ago LOL. Thanks for sharing Jemz. Have a good week.
Nice one Jemma you made easy work of that I think its great you being hands on your boss must be pleased you work for him I no some drivers wouldn't even think about helping out like you 🤙🤙🤙
Ha, Ha! I see these being part of a dinking game at Truck Shows. New Suzis are set on the back tire of the trailer, and from the driver's seat, and see how long it takes each driver to change them out, and then back to the driver's seat. lol! The fastest fellow, decides how many beers each looser will have to drink. The slowest decides how many the Winner will have to drink! 3 rounds per game! Thanks for the Tuesday morning wakeup call, Jemma. XOXO!
My personal congratulations, not just for being prepared to get the tools out yourself, but for the impressive demonstration of a how fast a suzie change can (should?) be. If I had my own artics I'd be ordering RIGHT NOW! (44th 😉 )
Thanks for that, a really interesting video. For someone who likes trucks and truck driving but knows nothing about them it was really informative. Hope I can get a pair to fit my Tonka.😂😂🤣🤣
Waitrose have been running the double ended susie lines for years but without the lock. I thought they were standard until I started working for someone else and realised its just Waitrose that run them.
Hey Jemma, again an interesting video esoecially for someone who has never had experiences with trucks I think your (new?) microphone needs a recalibration oder settings need to be adjusted because it only records one audio-line, iow mono instead of stereo
In surprised that they are not the norm. I would imagine the initial cost outs people off. I'm sure they would pay for themselves in a single breakdown.👍
After accidentally proving how much better Cycling makes Running, it could be time for HGV & Bus/Coach Instructors, Assessors and Mentors alike to see the health benefits of Cycling instead of any hatred. 'Cyclist', a word like Hot Coals, ouch! Airlines look like a turn of a Spanner (plus the Air Dump). No Gloves for the Grease and dirt on the Airlines?
I heard when Unitruck first started pushing these coils back in the early 80's... they had a woman called Suzie holding them in the adverts in magazines and brochures... then the mechanics just started calling the coils suzies from that...
Great bit of kit. What truck u going 4 when u become an owner diver 🤔 P.s. the white tape is PTFE, it seals the threaded joint rather than protects it. U don't want any leaks 👍
We used to have two big adjustable spanners and a spare set of suzies. Would break the yellow line about once every 6 months…took 8 hours to change it. Well what I told them.

What a great bit of kit. Hope the boss gets them for the rest of the fleet.😊
WELL DONE BRUCE U GOT THERE IN THE END PAL
Amazing pice of technology Jem , great for driver to change and a massive saving of down time , call outs & loss of a load , winner winner xxx
Hi Gemma I could see the competitor in you when the stop watch started you were off like a sprinter out of the blocks. Good job.

Brilliant system, should have been industry standard years ago!!
Waitrose have been running the double ended susie lines for years but without the lock. I thought they were standard until I started working for someone else and realised its just Waitrose that run them.

Well done on your gift.surprised to pass u yesterday m6 southbound I did toot my horn
Hi jemma you looking good great video
In surprised that they are not the norm. I would imagine the initial cost outs people off. I'm sure they would pay for themselves in a single breakdown.👍
Yeah the cost is £300 plus the vodka and tonic. But that's not far off a call out fee. Then factor in the driver hours lost and the lost load.....
that is good when it's SUNNY How different when windy rainy & connections hard to get off &? on mm
Good luck opening those locks a year or two down the road. Tell your bossman to put on proper airlines instead of them suzy's
I've often wondered though, why are they called Susies? 😕
Who found the leaking hose in the first place?
🚛👍👍
So I'm curious now, has the boss now been ordering these for all the trucks after seeing 1st hand how quick they are?
👍
How is one supposed to concentrate when Jemmas legs are in the way.!!!! Joking of course!!!!!
So the question is, is the big man going to get all his hgv’s this system?

Are you taking part in concerts with vagabonds lovely?xxx
No, not this year as she is away most of the time. But does the road crew for the carnivals. Take care
Why are the air hoses called Suzies?
I heard when Unitruck first started pushing these coils back in the early 80's... they had a woman called Suzie holding them in the adverts in magazines and brochures... then the mechanics just started calling the coils suzies from that...
