I love that Adam Schefter is still coming after the Falcons. 1, that was a pretty funny line about the Hawks, and 2, let him continue to dig his own grave. When the Falcons win the Super Bowl in 2027, it will be delicious to pull out all these old quotes
I think he's just mad that Atlanta made him look dumb twice this year....first in not signing Bill Belichick, and next drafting Penix instead of an Edge.
Lol dreaming
@@cutime6712 yep...so are 31 other teams! Lol
We seen what Penix looked like after his injuries we don’t know what Kirk will look like.
yeah, that goes into the "injury" bucket... If Kirk is healthy, he'll be the starter... if he's not... he won't...
@@ScottKennedybut he is paid😂
I missed the live today because my wife was getting sworn in as a police officer in Atlanta . Getting a little closer to Metro Atlanta every day.
Nice. Congrats and I'm sure you'll tell her to be careful out there :)
Congrats to you and your family! My wife swore in a year ago here in Ohio.
Congrats!
@@vb72517 thanks, we really appreciate the support. I hope your wife stays safe but it’s a great career. My wife has been on the road five years in a rural town but got the school resource officer position closer to Atlanta with a nice raise. We are very blessed
Scott and nick, great show! You guys are always great. Got the new bike today along with pics. Aprilia RS660! Hope all is well with you both. Nick get some sleep bro! As a parent of 5 and a firefighter, I promise you sleep is vital!
gorgeous machine... yes, I'm a little jealous...
@ScottKennedy thank you sir! I'm sorry you can't ride in your neighborhood. I live a little down the road from where you used to on Ohio. I'm in port clinton near cedar point. So my neighborhood is ok with it! Thanks for the response brother. Great podcast as usual. Looking forward to Wednesday
Craptain Kook probably already looking for another team
Yes! Scott! Us real die hard falcons fans are very patient we just want to stop sucking ....Definitely! ...you got it!
I hated to be harsh, but you know how it is.... lol
@@ScottKennedy yes sir!! I get it hahhas
Good morning family
good morning, thanks for checking in
They DID go after Danielle Hunter....he chose to go tobthe Texans to be home
How about those Panthers RBs Williams and Steward? Didn't they both had 1000 yard seasons?
yeah, we hit on that one, I think it was 2009, and Steve Smith hit 1000 yards, but Mushin Muhammed was short.
You don’t need a great defense when your offense is expected to score 30+ points a game.
Yes u do!!!! especially when the other team can put up 30+
@@djfreaknique1587 well it will be a shootout that’s why you pay a qb $100 million.
I do understand that Pennix is an older QB. But how much do you think sitting for 2 years along with playing when cousins is injured will increase the probability that he will be a really good starting QB in 2026
I think if he's good, he would be better in 2026 if he got experience as a starter in 2024 and 2025. I think he would be better in 2026 than 2024 if each was his first year starting.
Rams rookie third round edge rushers both had near double digit sacks last year.
You'll be surprised how Trice can create havoc and sack the quarterback. I watched him last 2 seasons at the UW. He was the defensive captain.
I would love that kind of surprise...
I look forward to seeing what he and Dorlus can do on the field together.
So you saying Penix was a good pick?
I'm saying what I've been saying, I don't agree with the allocation of resources, but we won't know if Penix is a good pick until several years down the line. My first choice was always rookie QB when it came to replacing Ridder/Heinicke
@@ScottKennedy You make good points. I feel that if the team had first round grade in a QB, they should take him, no matter the position in the draft. I don't know many teams that win with below average QB play. The other pieces of the team are easier to fill.
@henrim9348 I just wish they had made that decision before spending the vast majority of their free agent money on Cousins. Would have rather tried to build around Penix right away. At 24, he's more mature than most rookies and ready to go.
Scott, Do you think this process is the same if the draft in the NFL took place before free agency?
Qb1
2025 at the earliest (injury disclaimer of course)
