I guess I need to come up with a Badger UA-cam account to follow with! I’d you don’t recognize the pic, it’s me when I worked at McDonalds for maybe a week in 1989. You can see the pride. Thanks for the shout out and in depth tour. Much appreciated!!👊
Tape measure on the right for a right-handed. My reasoning is....... When cutting lumber, you stand towards the right side of what you're cutting (stud or rafter, ect). Left hand on wood, right hand on saw. With this cutting position, you will most likely be throwing your tape towards the left (right hand holds the tape, left throws the tape). Same thing when marking layout, millwork, ect. Right hand holds the tape, left hand throws tape (typically).
VERY logical presentation makes this video valuable whether or not viewers might have different tactical priorities or workflow. Could be retitled, "How to think your way to an optimal toolbelt setup." Thank you.
@@avamiara26 he's real helpful as far as emails go. I only live two hours away ,if he had some in stock I would have drove up there and got a set. I bought a set of Diamondback Grande but I'm not too sure I like them
Right hand on tape, shooting to the left is the most efficient way to do it in the "western" world. If you're reading your language from left to right, then it should simply be worked that way. People think I'm handed awkward when they see, tape, square, and chalk line, and hammer all on my right. I'm left handed with a pencil, so thats my "finesse" side... Loose fasteners, marking tools, knives, and smaller squeezers. Shoot to the left, read from the left, work from the left.
However if you are right handed you will be marking with that hand to be precise. That puts the tape in your left hand and the number are upside down or your arms are crossed. Tools don’t function in accordance with “western” or culture normative so more in-depth thought should be given to practicality of use.
Looking into these belts are they really worth the money or is it a bit of a scandless price to pay I have the milwaukee one don't mind the pouches but the belt is really big and bulky. Won't my pouches fit on a badger belt .
I’m thinking of buying a badger toolbelt, I’m currently with Occidental. Did it take a while to get used to wearing the belt up higher and does it fall below your belt line? Or would suspenders be a good idea? I don’t always wear mine.
I’ve always worn my belt higher. Having no ass makes where it lower painful in the hips. I’ve tried suspender on other belt but switching to the badger made the fit so much better that suspenders weren’t needed.
www.badgertoolbelts.com Working fine at my end. You could message them directly on Instagram or check mississauga hardware’s website as they started stocking them here in 🇨🇦
What tool belt did you switch from? Do you have any experience with diamondback? Im looking at switching from the black CLC's that I have worn for nearly 20 years to something with more quality and comfort but without completely changing the layout.. any feedback would be greatly appreciated..

Wouldn’t have recognized the photo but I know that name, hi Joel. Thanks for making a great product.
Any plans for an electrician rig?
Please do! Your bags look so sick!

I find the flow of using the pencil, tape, speed square as a right handed persons works better with the tape on the right side.
What ever works especially if mark with your left hand but than that pencil should be on left bag haha
This is exactjy what i was thinking@@kaipo8489
@kaipo8489 theres no way I could run my square or tape on the same side as my pencil lol
Thanks that was helpful I’m planning on ordering mine soon. This gave me a good look at the tool belt system

Amen on the measuring tape location! I converted mine to a magnetic clip so its super easy to grab (from Lee Valley)
Nice keep it simple im looking into this brand
I’m right side tape measure guy too! Nice video
haha, good ol Makita with the Beethoven in the background. Good vid bro
You know it!
@@ByronBuildsOfficial You can change it by putting the battery in and out a couple times.
@@Davey768 sure can! I’ve shared that trick with a few people. Pays to read the manuals.
I'd probably try to set a badger since he's local to me, but his wait time is really long. He needs to build up some sets and have them for sale
I just checked his website today, he does have some full sets in inventory. I'd snag one while you can.
@@ByronBuildsOfficial I'll take a look I didn't realize that
Waited over a year for nothing... hopefully the refund doesn't take that long.

This is not what happened, for the record. Customer was happy with their set last time I checked.
Good review
Glad to help

How tall are you? I’m trying to see how far down it would fall on my legs, not sure if I’ll get the trim set or this one with the tape holders
I’m 6’5”. There’s no concern with reaching these bags.
What pouches did you go with?
Right handed and I have to have my tape and speed square on my right
I can’t agree with square on the right.

This set up is totally worth it. Has our lasted any other belt I’ve worn.

Goooooood
How do i order a badger belt the website won't let me

Looks like the pockets hang super low
They do not. All of them are comfortable to reach the bottom of.
How long did you have to wait ? I ordered mine four months ago in camo
I ordered quite early in Bager's life, still was a 90 day wait.
I waited over a year only for him to send a refund because he didn't make it. The company sucks
how do you like that square, is it holding up well
It’s been great. Not wearing out anytime soon.
Are you able to tell us the size dimensions of these bags please? Thanks

The belt I had directly before this was the dewalt bags. Before that was Kuny’s. Those box store bags where only lasting me 9-12 months.
Get the Diamondbacks. You will thank yourself daily.
I can’t speak to comfort because I haven’t worn the DBs but the pouches are better on the badger.
Onde comprar? Aqui no Brasil?
Is your belt adjustable
Yes, the belt has plenty of adjustment even though the belt pad it sized to your body.
Why are you carrying that torpedo level when you are using a Martinez speed square? It can literally do all the same things as a torpedo level can do
Stabila torpedo is going to have greater accuracy than a speed square with a bubble. Martinez for determining pitch not for verifying plumb/level
Can you attack from both side while marking a measurement?
He can’t 🤣
What size tool bag did you get ?
These are the regular size bags. A slightly modified sides by side set.
I clicked on the vid bc of the booty lol😆 but I actually learned a thing or two
So my clickbate thumb nail worked?! 😂
@@ByronBuildsOfficial definitely with the bi guys 👌🏻
Hey man what's the brand
Badger tool belts.
If you're planning on kissing your $500 good bye for at least a year, Badger is for you.
I purchased before he was big. Only 90 day wait. Still worth it.
