Trains at: Doncaster, ECML, 30/04/17

A fantastic and very windy afternoon spent at Doncaster Station on the East Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains East Coast, Grand Central, Northern, Cross Country, Hull Trains, Transpennine Express and West Coast Railways.
Despite the fact that this was filmed on a Sunday it was still a brilliant station to go to. Virgin seem to enjoy sending a lot of their Sunday services up to Scotland and to Leeds especially, not that I'm complaining as it meant catching a few fast trains thundering through the station.
The bonus here just so happened to come at the of the film where by West Coast Railways made an unexpected visit with the form of 2 class 47 locomotives working what I can only assume is an ECS movement to somewhere, the lead loco was doing all of the work. The rear was taking it easy, still ,made for an excellent sight though.
My next station is Grantham situated a healthy way down the line.

Fantastic video Jarred, I was thinking the 47 at the end was doing a railtour from Norwich - Holyhead and was forming apparently 47580.

Have you caught sight of the VTEC 800s and 801s? I think all the 9 and 5 coach sets should have 11 coaches like the Virgin Pendolino 390s.
