    17:32 Price and warranty: Considering value for money model
    Note that max boosting is 40V and max bucking is 48V. What this means that stabilizer will only increase output voltage by 40V and reduce excess voltage by 48V.
    If input is 290V, output will be 242V.
    150V input will give 190V output similarly 180V input will give 220V output.

      Koshish karo, maximum ampere waala lo, jitne tak aapka budget allow kare, taaki in case TV upgrade karo, ya sound system bhi connect kar pao.

      This video is pretty old, but presently I have connected voltage stabilizer to main wall socket via a socket extension board, which gives power to inverter, into which a 4 point surge protector is connected, which in turn distributes power to three other surge protectors, one being 8 point and other two being 6 point versions. I'll upload a detailed wiring video on this when I get time.

I originally bought al full suspension steel MTB and heavily modified it. Right now it costs more than my motorcycle 🤣 because MTB components are very costly i did save money by using motorcycle fork and 200mm brake disc. I used hydraulic disc brake system in front because front rotor kept getting warped due to braking. In future I plan to convert this MTB into E-bike when parts are available at sane prices. And yes riding an MTB attracts a lot of attention!!!

    Can you check this on low voltage ..

    Does it give stable output (220-230v) on low (120-150v) voltage

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  3 роки тому +2

      Its boost feature increases voltage by 40 volts maximum, therefore input voltage of 120 volts will be boosted to 160 volts or 150 volts input will be boosted to 190 volts and similarly for other voltages. In the same manner stabilizer will reduce voltage to the extent of 48 volts. My house typically gets 265 volts in winters and 180 volts in summers due to load, so this works pretty well for me.

      Agar voltage bohot zyaada fluctuate karta hai toh shayad yeh stabilizer utna acha kaam na kare kyonki yeh tab acha hai jab voltage kam ya zyaada aati hai aur fluctuations kam hoti hai. Bohot zyaada fluctuations mein relays on off karte rehenge iske. Aisa nahi hai kaam nahi karega but relay based stabilizer uske liye itne suitable nahi hote.

      Agar poore din fluctuations bohot zyaada aati hai, toh iski relays constantly click karti rahegi jisse relays jaldi wear out hogi aur utni achi voltage stabilizer nahi de payega. Agar short time ke liye fluctuations hai toh acha kaam karega. In case voltage low ya high aati hai toh bhi bohot acha kaam karega. Isko samjhaunga kisi aur video mein.

    • @M-DIY

      Stabilizer is still working flawlessly, which is expected since it is still in warranty period, though this will work well even after warranty period because V-Guard is a reputed company.
      Just calculate your total load using a power meter like this: ua-cam.com/video/VfVGX51eQZY/v-deo.html or you can try to estimate using online PSU wattage calculators as shown in this video: ua-cam.com/video/aryzbLQ1eQQ/v-deo.html then buy stabilizer for appropriate amperes.
      260 volts is too high for sensitive devices, though most computer PSU's can handle it, but sound amplifiers are far too sensitive and they develop issues because capacitors in their PCBs swell due to higher than normal voltages.
      I even bought an inverter because my load increased due to more devices being plugged in surge protectors: ua-cam.com/video/ykSl5WPwnbw/v-deo.html

      @@M-DIY Thanks for the quick reply! Makes sense.
      However I am getting confused on how much load can I put the stabilizer on.
      This stabilizer mentions 4A max capacity, Which using an online calculator 4A + 240v was about 1 Kva (Not sure if that's the way you calculate it)
      I'm looking for a stabilizer which would manage to handle two gaming PC's + Monitors, which on calculating max load came up to 1.2 kva. Hence i'd be looking for about 1.5 or perhaps 2 kva stabilizer.
      On searching for stabilizers I'm only seeing stabilizers for "AC's" "Mainline" " Washing Machine" etc of 2kva. Would those stabilizer still do the job for computers?
      Would be great to know your suggession, Thanks!

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  2 роки тому

      4 ampere stabilizer will support loads of around 900 watts (4Ax220V). At most you can get a 6 ampere stabilizer (this one: amzn.to/3uGOHyX) which can handle around 1300 watts (6Ax220V). Beyond that capacity there are no stabilizers built for sensitive electronics. Those AC/Mains stabilizers aren't good for these devices much, they do correct voltage but they aren't exactly built for this, so what you can do is divide your load into two and get two stabilizers, one for each gaming PC. Still I feel that 6 ampere model should be sufficient for two gaming PCs, and if you don't play games on both the PCs simultaneously, your peak loads will never go beyond the rated capacity of the stabilizer, if you need to then obviously you'll need to separate their loads.

    • @ZvClaw
      @ZvClaw 2 роки тому

      @@M-DIY Got it, yeah the other option would be to get 2 separate. I'll look into it more! Thanks a lot, really appreciate it!
      Another doubt I had btw, does the PC restart switching from mains to inverter (sinewave) during power cut since I saw a few people complaining about it in reviews

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  2 роки тому

      Well mine doesn't, I am using Corsair CV series PSUs (650 watt in workstation and 450 watt in NAS server) and Luminous Eco Volt+ Pure Sine Wave inverter. Even at Eco mode (which takes longer to switch over) my systems never restart, and UPS mode is far quicker so no question arises here. Now some PSUs (Gigabyte is notorious for this) have lesser hold up time due to smaller capacitors being used, so they won't be able to keep computer running while inverter switches from mains to battery power, but most of the Corsair and Cooler master PSUs don't have this problem (I speak from my experience as in the past I had Cooler Master PSU and it too worked really well).
      If someone is still facing PC restart issue, then only option is to change the PSU with a higher hold up time or buying a UPS from APC, which I don't like much because of the small 7Ah batteries being used in them which are pretty bad for durability as no battery can be compared to the performance and reliability of a tall tubular 200Ah battery! I have talked about all this in this video: ua-cam.com/video/ykSl5WPwnbw/v-deo.html

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  Рік тому

      I doubt that a voltage stabilizer will help in your case because OLED panels have a shorter lifespan as compared to other panels like IPS or VA. Voltage stabilizer does help to protect electronics, mostly it is the motherboard or power board that gets ruined with bad voltage, not the panel itself. However using a voltage stabilizer and a surge protector will enhance its life anyway.

      If it is not too loose, and does not cause any sparking or heating of the pins of the plug, you are good, otherwise you can try another plug or call company to fix loose socket.

      Unfortunately V guard's 6 ampere stabilizer is out of stock from a few months now, apparently it has been discontinued. I cannot suggest any 6 ampere stabilizer that you can buy online. Aulten stabilizer have mixed reviews and do not have very good after sales service. You'll have to search offline for 6 ampere stabilizer from reliable manufacturers like Bluebird, Logicstat etc.

      @@M-DIY ohkay. My stabilizer actually has a 16amp plug and I was confused why a 6 amp device needs a 6amp socket. Hence i was figuring out whether i needed just an adapter or to get a plug box and wiring like u did in ur case.

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  2 роки тому +1

      16A plugs are overkill for 6A stabilizers and it is a headache to find a 16A socket for them. Most of the people use a converter to get around it so purpose of a 16A plug is totally defeated and for this reason I prefer 6A plugs. Even my Corsair 650W PSU was supplied with a 16A plug cord, which is totally unnecessary and idiotic because all other companies supply their similarly rated PSU with 6A plugs. A commentor even argued with me on this lol in my Corsair PSU review video. But if we calculate, 650W PSU doesn't need 16A plug at all.

    • @sam4scout

      @@M-DIY lol, I'll definitely check that corsair video... Even my cooler master psu has been given 16amp plug and that too with an inbuilt fuse. Maybe someone from electrical background can clear this confusion.. But logically whatever u have said feels very true. Even i heard 6amp plug can handle till 15amps without issue.. Maybe for products like oven it might be issue, but for pc this shud be okay i guess

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  2 роки тому

      Cooler master doesn't give 16A plug cord in 650 watt PSU, though for higher watt versions they do give 16A plugs. Seasonic (a very reliable brand in US) doesn't do this nonsense lol, but American plugs and sockets are better designed than ours; flat blades have more contact area and can tolerate higher amperes as compared to round pins.

    Sir should I buy UPS or Voltage Stabilizer for my Gaming Pc (850w)

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  3 роки тому

      First you need to check how much power your PC actually consumes. There are two ways to do it. You can either buy a power meter: ua-cam.com/video/VfVGX51eQZY/v-deo.html
      Or calculate through software as shown in this video: ua-cam.com/video/aryzbLQ1eQQ/v-deo.html
      As your power supply is of 850 watts, I'll suggest to future proof and buy an inverter instead (ua-cam.com/video/ykSl5WPwnbw/v-deo.html) if your budget allows, because it will provide better backup. But if presently you wanna save money, you can go through the above videos to check if UPS will take load of your system.

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  3 роки тому

      1100 VA UPS will take your load easily, but only at light workloads. If you start a game, PC wll consume power like a beast! You have GTX 3080 which itself consumes more than 200 watts! Total power consumption should be around 550 watts for your PC maximum. Mine is 450 watts because i have put GTX 1650 super (I don't play games, just video editing).
      Do note that in case you are playing a game while light goes out, UPS may not take the load and your PC will shut down, I haven't tested 1100VA UPS but my 650VA UPS was crap! It couldn't take load of 250 watts either. Ask someone on UA-cam who has 1100VA UPS. APC is a good brand but I kinda dislike all these small 7ah battery UPS now, they go bad pretty quickly.

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  3 роки тому

      True, APC does claim to have a built in surge protector, but APC has got kinda bad reviews (check them in Amazon app) while Belkin has got pretty solid reviews. I like to use a separate surge protector by default. Even my old microtek UPS "supposedly" had surge protector built in, but when I opened it for selling scrap while discarding, I found nothing.
      APC does have built in surge protection (people have opened and showed them) but I doubt its functionality; regarding backup and load, it will be fine but don't expect small 7Ah batteries inside it to last long (they last 2 years with normal use).
      In all my past UPS' I got 10-15 minutes backup on a basic computer, while for gaming computer UPS used to shut off immediately. Getting a 1100VA one wouldn't be much useful either, I needed something that can power my system for at least a few hours because I also have built a truenas server, sometimes its tasks take a few hours to complete. I have Hikvision CCTV NVR with its POE switch too plugged into inverter and surge protectors.

      Aulten stabilizers are not meant to be used with computer per se. And no you just cannot overload V-Guard voltage stabilizer because it has a fuse as well. Your PC would hardly consume more than 400-500 watts because it is dependent on hardware configuration. Unless you have high end specs, it is highly unlikely that you'll be putting 100% load on your 750 watt PSU.

    dude...most of Computer peripheral like
    PSU's are rated for
    100-240 volt input
    then
    why we need Stabilizer for Computer.

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  2 роки тому

      PSUs and appliances are rated for upto 240 volts not 270 volts that we receive in our homes sometimes during light loads. Some devices are built to tolerate voltage fluctuations, but most aren't so save costs. Mains voltage during summers drops to 180 volts in many areas of our country (including mine), as our electrical infrastructure is still not sufficient for our huge population, that too when many areas don't get electricity at all.
      Lower than normal voltages cause overheating while higher voltages cause many issues, like swelling of capacitors in PCBs, as they are built only for a specified voltage input. Capacitors often go bad, due to over voltage and heat, so I try to avoid these factors. I even installed a cooling fan in an overheating amplifier: ua-cam.com/video/JUWWHEJnfRE/v-deo.html
      You don't need a stabilizer for your appliances if your house gets perfect voltage, but that's highly unlikely.

      @@M-DIY In my Area
      voltage fluctuates between 180-240 or Sometime 250
      Is this fluctuation a problem or should i just buy a stabilizer.
      & can u tell me why PSU's are rated like this
      100-240 input voltage on their boxer.

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY  2 роки тому

      @@JamesBond-xl5xo You'll need to measure voltage using a multimeter or a power meter (I have uploaded videos on these too) in your house, only then you can decide whether you need stabilizer or not. Voltage stabilizer controls fluctuations as well as corrects higher or lower than normal voltages automatically.
      Computers PSU are still pretty robust, they can tolerate a bit of bad voltages, but it does affect their life. My last PSU lasted for 11 years! I discarded it for safety, but upon disassembling it, I found that none of the capacitors were swollen and it was due to my older Microtek UPS which had AVR (voltage regulation) feature, so it sufficiently protected it. Present UPSs are junk as they don't correct voltages.
      If you are using any sound amplifier, like a home theater or AV receiver then stabilizer is a must. Sound amplifiers are very sensitive and in Sony home theaters, capacitors often swell due to higher voltages (this is a known issue, you can search on UA-cam for this).
      To avoid all this I prefer to use a stabilizer. You can check my videos for more information, I cannot write all that in comments 😅.

    Bro u said in comments, you connected as
    Stabilizer --> inverter --> your PC
    In this case, the inverter sucks all the power required by house appliances like Fans, Tv, lights, computer etc, directly from Stabilizer. How can your 4amp stabilizer handle this much load?
