Nice , I have the same scooter in pearl white . I'm in California , buying this scooter was the best thing for me since we all know what California traffic is like . I enjoyed the videos on your PCX150 . Keep them coming . The LED lights are bright at night , even during the daytime . Enjoy and be safe . From one Gregg to another lol . Thumbs up .
+Mitch3207 Thanks man - yeah the lights are really cool at night - love them. Glad you liked the video - I'm uploading another one right now where some lady almost sideswiped me!
Great review man. It was fun "going for a ride" watching this video. Man it looks so fun. I really want that scooter. I've been researching it for a week. Beautiful machine.
A great bike. I've had a pcx for 3 years (late model) best of all the scooters, by far. Full auto and a breeze to ride, everyone should have one. Just a great all round bike.
After seeing your night ride it gave me motivation to jump on the scoot and take a joy ride lol . So I went to the gas station then the coin op spray wash and gave it the wash down then went home lol . Thanks for the motivation vids . . .
+T. Willow You're welcome - yeah there's not much to dislike about the PCX - my main dislike is the automatic key hole shutter thing when you lock the steering - it's a PITA.
I have a 2015 as well. I can attest that these lights are great. UA-cam video compression affects the contrast a bit so it is hard to show in video. I went on an accessory binge but never felt the need for auxiliary lights. I am repeatedly impressed with what Honda engineers managed to put together in this ride. There's almost nothing I would change. Some folks might like more top end, but I think they hit a great compromise on fuel economy and power. It does nearly anything I want it to do. My one gripe is how much a PITA some of the body panels are to remove for routine maintenance, even with body panel tools. That's one thing the Ruckus guys have on us... accessibility. Oh, and I agree ABS would be nice. That's one thing Honda is behind the competition on.
I have a black 2015. It handles great. I got the OEM windshield for it. I'm still getting a little wind noise, but it keeps the wind off of my neck and chest area.
BTW I had the seat reupholstered and added more foam to the riders position, so the entire seat is level. Much better to move further back and comply with leg and feet comfort on the running boards. It gives me more height to, being 6 foot. You should try it, cheap easy and convertable
Good idea to show a night ride, the lights. The lack of ABS is why I wouldn't prefer this scoot as the only ride. Fortunately, my CB300F has ABS. The Forza has noticeably lower seat, so for taller folks the seating is weird = the knees stick above the hips = very un-ergonomic. How much was the first maintenance visit to the dealer?
Coming from a Honda ruckus with led bulbs installed on it, to a 2022 pcx 160, the pcx headlights on my 2022 are terrible. Really dim, I don’t know if this is a issue on the 2021 + models or what.
Great video. I recently purchased a new old stock 2013 pcx 150; zero miles. Was wanting to know if I can purchase the factory led bulb and put them in mine or is there more to it? Thanks in advance.
You're welcome, top speed is just under 65 mph - but there are guys on the hondapcx.org forum that can do over 70 mph with a few mods. It's pretty quick up to 55 mph and then acceleration tapers off quickly especially
After owning a Ninja 300 and a 150cc scooter, how do you feel about moving up in power class in terms of a motorcycle? I am considering moving to a Yamaha FZ 09 after having alot of experience with scooters. Do you think this is a good idea?
I've never ridden the FZ09 but I'd recommend something a bit tamer based on reviews I've read like this one - they say it's a blast to ride but that it's a handful to control and a little scary: www.revzilla.com/common-tread/2014-yamaha-fz-09-long-term-test So it might not be the best choice for someone moving up from a scooter. I'd recommend something more like the Ninja 300, R3, or CBR500 - get used to shifting and going a little faster than on the scooter for awhile before moving up again to the FZ09. I moved up to a Honda VFR Interceptor which is fast but not scary fast, handles awesome, and has traction control and abs. So far it's been awesome but I'm sure I'll get the urge for a liter bike eventually - lol. Good luck with whatever you get.
Gator Greg Thanks for the article. I didn't know about the issues with the suspension on the FZ 09. My delima is, I feel that I have mastered the power of a 50cc with over 20k miles under my belt. I recently purchased a 150cc scooter and it doesn't seem to much differ from handing my previous 50cc. My 150cc has more power than a Grom. I really like the Ninja 300 but, it is only twice the size of what I feel I have already mastered. I am very concerned about not being able to handle the power of a FZ 09. Maybe the FZ 07 is the way to go. Whatever bike I get needs to last me because I don't have the money to spend to have a large collection of bikes. Thanks again for the info.
get some deer whistlers and put them on your bike scares the shit ot of deer u can place em stealth or in a way that looks like they came on the bike its all up to you worked for me
Wow your neighborhood is very well lit, you can't just decide to take a night ride here in Pretoria with the lack of street lights, someone could just jump you. 😆😆
It's about time somebody made a video with the scooters driving at night out to see the quality of the lights...bravo
The headlights on the PCX are amazing! Sometimes people on cars complain that the headlights are too bright...

Mitch3207 Thinking about getting this scooter. How much does the insurance cost?

+Mitch3207 Keepin' it clean - glad I could help! LOL
Thanks for the ride. Thinking about getting this bike. Heard nothing but nice things about it.

Tbh the lights on this are so good that people flash me at night because they think my beams are on high!
i really enjoy watching this. more of the same please!
nice video! make more about pcx 150! thinking wanted to have one!

Thanks for the tip Saranya but I traded my PCX for a VFR, you can see vids of it on my channel. Sometimes I miss my PCX though.

Very Nice. I wanna buy it next year =))
Aren't you supposed to turn off the high beams when there is an oncoming car?
I try to but sometimes I forget.
Cool video.
Thanks!
Stay safe .

Unfortunately I think there's more to it - I think there are some threads over on hondapcx.org about this.
I'm thinking about buying this bike.
What is the top speed?
Thanks for the vid man!

Great video. Good inspiration. Thanks. The Porsche was a Panamera, the third ugliest Porsche ever made. ;-)
