      It's big, but not complete. The complete score with released unreleased and unused Tracks is 4-5 hours long and has nearly 100 Tracks.

      Ok you're right, this wouldn't have been the first time this soundtrack were released wird the unused scores.
      A few days ago, I found this following information which says, there is existing a complete recording session with a lengt of over 5 hours from the movie Mighty Joe Young which were coming in 1998, composed from James Horner too.
      download-soundtracks.com/movie_soundtracks/mighty-joe-young-soundtrack-recording-sessions-by-james-horner/
      I watched everywhere to get it, but no chance and in the official Version is something missing from the movie.
      Maybe you have a Chance to find it?
      PS: You're really do a great Job here.

    People often accuse Horner of "borrowing from himself". Realize that all composers do that to some extent. And that due to marketing, we are naturally going to be exposed to more of his mainstream and familiar music. Fuck it. What I am trying to say is that he was brilliant and I really miss him.

    • @CdrChaos
      @CdrChaos 2 роки тому +6

      Time and money. No one at Fox was going to James Cameron, the director of Aliens and Titanic, how long or how much he could spend to make the CGI look so good you often can’t tell where it ends or begins.

    • @sillyjellyfish2421
      @sillyjellyfish2421 Рік тому +1

      CGI of this level has been literally developed for the sole purpose of making this movie. Like, i'm not joking. Sure, there has been CGI effects before, even whole movies notably Toy story, Shrek and Transformers, but this was the first time that the technology of the motion capture was used for both the body and the face at once in real time in order to make a photorealistic final product. If James Cameron didn't manage to secure over 200 millions for his team to develop all that and to shoot the movie itself, i dare to say that at the rate at which the CGI was progressing at the time, this level of realism wouldn't be possible well into mid 2010s.

    I was very sad when I heard that James Horner passed away in 2015, I remember I didn't see Avatar when it came out, but I did know James Horner from the movie Star Trek 2 and later on Aliens, in the mid 90s to 2000s he really matured I think in style, his 80s style was big and bombastic, his 90s style was simple and some what sweet, his 2000s style he blended his previous styles with synths and modern techniques to create this great soundtrack.

    1:50 is one of my favorite moments. It's such an epic display of sound, setting the tone for the first shot of Pandora as a planet and moon. You're immediately launched into this awe and wonderful scale of what's to come and how vast it's all going to be. I love what Horner did for this moment. The mixture of beauty and sci-fi elements is perfectly captured.

    EDIT: I really love this movie, like with all of my heart and I hate it when anyone describes it as PocAHonTaS WiTh BlUe PeOplE cause it has more depth than that, so I was a little hesitant to watch the video about how ironic the soundtrack is yet I did cause let's be honest nth is perfect, and it kinda bummed me out cause the music was the star of the show yet to know it's like this and Horner wasn't able to show his true work... Makes me angry, so okay I understand now why you dislike it :)

      Lincoln 23 dude that’s not a flaw or sth to dislike its a signature tune, every composer has it, James sat almost two years making these scores, they’re magical in every way and it doesn’t make sense to dislike it because it’s sth you or anyone heard before lol

      @@lincoln2324 That would make sense, but having a common theme can really bring a score together. Its like a glue of sorts that just allows everything to "stick" so to speak. It wouldn't really make sense for someone to dislike a track based on this essential part of film score.

      Voilà exactement ce que je pense quand je vois des gens écrire « avatar c’est de la merde » ils passent à côté d’une EXPÉRIENCE. Ce film a changé plusieurs aspects de ma vie... j’ai appris à tirer à l’arc et j’adore ce sport! J’ai aussi appris la langue quand le film est sorti (j’avais 10 ans) donc j’ai du oublié pas mal...!
      Et surtout ça a déclenché quelque chose de fou, James Cameron est un visionnaire, il a commencé à penser à cette idée en 1995 pendant la préparation de Titanic, tout le monde lui a refusé son projet parce que c’était « impossible » de tourner un film aussi HUGE en mo-cap. Mais il l’a fait. Il s’est accroché à son rêve de créer ce monde, Sam Worthington a suivi un entraînement militaire, Zoé Saldana a eu des cours de danse, de mouvements, de tir à l’arc, de langue, tous ont été mis en condition dans la FORÊT avant de tourner en studio, pour ressentir les choses de la même manière que les personnages dans le film..! La terre sous leurs pieds, l’eau, les insectes, ils ont été réellement préparés à vivre comme eux. J’ai tellement hâte pour les suites... mais après plus de 13 ans de d’attente j’espère de tout mon cœur que je serais aussi touchée par les suites que le premier... plus l’attente est longue plus l’espérance d’une masterpiece est grandissante.
      Avatar sera gravé sur ma peau, comme le reste de mes tatouages pour chaque œuvre qui a changé ma vie!
