    Does anyone know the mixture to create the “University Red” color to match these??

    Hey what's the difference between using acetone vs the Angelus leather preper & deglazer solution at the beginning?

    • @reallyrez1
      @reallyrez1  2 роки тому +2

      Hey Thanks for commenting but to answer your question the basic component of the Preparer & Deglazer is acetone. However, the combination of the different components has been specially coordinated for use on leather, combined with Angelus Leather Paint. The both do the same job its just personal preference.

    Great job! Great video! what kinda sealer did you use on the tongue?

    • @reallyrez1
      @reallyrez1  Рік тому +1

      Hey thanks for reaching out but for the tongue I just mixed flat black paint with GAC 900 with a 1:1 ratio and then just painted it on. I used a blow dryer to heat set it or you can use a heat gun but other then that I did not use a sealer on the tongue

    Yo! Good work Brotha!
    I'm Barley getting into Repainting and Restos... I have some 2016s Breds that I want to RePaint. I've been doing research on Color-Matching the Red but can't find too much. I know Angelus has the "Varsity Red" out now in their "Collectors Edition" Paints but it's that the same Red or wld I have to mix some other Reds to it?? ANY information would be appreciated Bro! TIA for your time

      Hey thanks for the comment and question but in all honesty I’m not 100 percent sure if the varsity red matches I’ve never used that paint sorry I couldn’t really be of help I know that there are some restorers that mix there paint to match like vick almighty or sneaker head in the bay or retro snickers maybe they might have a video that could help out more

    • @reallyrez1
      @reallyrez1  Рік тому

      Appreciate the comment but yea you can use the white stick to get it off or you can use some acetone or even just some saliva if the spot is not to big

    Do you think using black dye would be beneficial for the longevity of the paint?

    • @reallyrez1
      @reallyrez1  2 роки тому +1

      Hey thanks for watching but yes black dye before painting would help the shoe last longer but I didn’t have any at the time

    Using the blow-dryer instead of a heat gun set the gac 900 the correctly? Just asking plan on doing something similar but can't find no heat gun that's at 350 degrees exactly

    • @reallyrez1
      @reallyrez1  Рік тому +1

      They both do the same if you use a heat gun you just get more heat then if you use a hair dryer but they both work fine. If you have any other questions or need help with your you can always dm on Instagram @ReallyRez1
