If focus on putting funding in schools an community resources that would keep people off the street and get them into treatment centers issues like drugs and stealing won’t become a big issue because you have a community that can support itself thus building trust building trust. I've been researching this entire problem now since I heard about it about two months ago (I have no pony in this race) and it's painfully obvious THAT IN THIS CASE the police are just acting out of spite now. They could very easily find another location which would most likely even save them money, but they have pissed enough people off and got enough attention, that they are using this as a fundraising opportunity as much as they are still just wanting to put this campus on that specific location as a way to, excuse my language, "to swing their balls" so to speak.

Probably an innocent explanation for it, but really, what if we make a study of what long term contracts these corporate funders/ associates stand to realize. UPS having international tri-capital acronym cred, public awareness and boycott prospect as means to make UPS change its policy about cop city is one thing ppl could do at the expense of providing interested parties an incentive to track them down and get nasty for it going. (??). And later the shlubby white guy city councillor with glasses and not much hair alleges that much of the so called forest is just an agglomeration of invasive species, and that’s pretty much the end of that conversation. But at about 51 seconds: I. There’s an aerial shot of pretty dense looking mixed trees , so it is not logged area already and so 2. this is highly significant habitat in which many species including migratory and forest dwelling species are increasingly dependent for their survival. It’s not just about us and whether these trees are good enough to meet our requirements!!! More on the 29th: I think the sort of elitist focus on protecting primarily rare ecologies and species, or ‘old growth’ forests is an excuse to make much larger territories of relatively undeveloped land very hard to protect. Taken in a human context, if you have not got an ideal home to occupy, even a cardboard box is better than nothing. And also the existence of a gun trining range is already probably deterring a lot of species from areas closer by so if you make that range ten or hundred times bigger you are causing that much more of a problem from a habitat perspective. Of course I’m focusing on the cost 90 million dollars is money that could be put into the community as a whole. If focus on putting funding in schools an community resources that would keep people off the street and get them into treatment centers issues like drugs and stealing won’t become a big issue because you have a community that can support itself thus building trust building trust. (Edited for typos 12/29) 😛🤭
At second fifty only of this report major corporations are referred to as key ‘strategic partners’ in making cop city, doable, etc. they ( the corporations) are not then given much of any further notice in the report .
But at about 51 seconds:
I. There’s an aerial shot of pretty dense looking mixed trees , so it is not logged area already and so
2. this is highly significant habitat in which many species including migratory and forest dwelling species are increasingly dependent for their survival.
It’s not just about us and whether these trees are good enough to meet our requirements!!!
More on the 29th:
I think the sort of elitist focus on protecting primarily rare ecologies and species, or ‘old growth’ forests is an excuse to make much larger territories of relatively undeveloped land very hard to protect.

Stop committing crimes and you won't need so many cops. Seriously.
The worlds not that simple
@@cobjam31 I'm aware but that would reduce the amount of police.
Why do you think people commit crimes? Their basic needs aren’t met, with over 70% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck, people get desperate.
Cop city exists to make it clear that we will live poor to enrich the 1% or we will face consequences
I would take cop city over poverty city
It’s gonna increase poverty because it’s taking money away from social programs…. Read a books pls
What will the animals do in that city! They will be homeless!
The animals will probably go back to their parents basement
6:53 The city council is more diverse than those protesting lol.
Because progressivism is when you check all the diversity boxes and put literally no thought towards their political motivations
The facility is to train first responders. Not cop city.
The fact they're trying to build this to have a city climate to train in, while Guardian Centers of Georgia exists in Perry (admittedly 100 miles away but that's nothing for a week of training) is disgusting.
Indeed, they could sure transport a helluva lot of cop wannabees from ATL to Perry for the 90 million bucks, well said my friend.
They do the same training as the military. First stage us briefing and training on paper, second stage is learning basic on regulations and law, third is training with similated environmental which take more than a year. Not weeks.
Yeah,well,that facility is going up
well the fact that Atlanta is a city. an that where they going to patrol in a city wouldn't it make since to have a city to train in. oh u rather then train in the actual city
These folks making comments are just dumb as f.
