You guys did a fantastic job. You would never guess it was your first build. The only wish I'd have would be to have a larger bed otherwise I don't think I'd change anything, is perfect.
Thanks Sherrie! I completely agree a larger bed would be very nice. This one is the size of a commercial "Full" but is less than ideal for anyone over 6ft tall. In a future build we will adjust the layout to accommodate our tall friends!
@@adgvans Well that explains the quality. Y'all should not stop doing this! Thank y'all for showing us what happens when the right amount of pride is applied!
Amazing innovation, especially with the radiant heat flooring (haven't heard that in a Class B before). Love the stealth component as well. That low profile Dometic AC really helps. Only thing I would have considered adding is a couple of side awning windows at the bed. Looking forward to following your success! 👍
Thanks Kory! We went back and forth on windows. My original thought was creating a space that felt private in the evenings when closed up at night, but during the day you could open up the back doors to nature. In retrospect I think windows would have been good. After all there is such a things as curtains!!! The next build is getting side windows!
Nice build and on the next one you might move the shore power to the drivers' side since most RV parks have the water and power hook up on the opposite side of the rig from the entry/awning. Stunning outside and in!
Thank you Kathryn! Thank you so much for the compliments! Yes good catch on the shore power and water fill ports. Because of the layout inside the van we had to place those on that side, but it would be much more convenient on the other side for sure.

The toilet paper dispenser is an Ocianair Marine and can be located on Amazon. The shower faucet is no name brand, but can be located on Amazon. Really well done and thoughtfully designed. I love the fit and finish. Is this the first van you've done for the public? I'm a new subscriber and looking forward to seeing what you do in the future!
Thank you Jennifer, Yes this is our first van build ever. My wife Maria designed the van and me and our two sons built it. We are working on our next video now and plan to keep our new channel going! New video should be coming soon!
I would prefer pullout drawers under the sofas. Otherwise you have to get down on your hands and knees to be able to see into the spaces and put things in or take stuff out of those storage areas. Otherwise, this is a beautiful van. I like the full bed with the countertop beside it. Awesome for leaving a glass of water beside the bed at night. Your wet bath is fantastic. Kudos to your whole family.
If it was raining, and you had the table hooked up on the other side. You could push the table back. Pull out the bed holder just enough to let only the one side down to sleep and wouldn't have to get out in the cold or rainy weather to make a bed to sleep.
Hi Helen, great observation. Yes if the Lagun table base mounting plate was located elsewhere, the table could be left up while the bed is made. It is possible to get additional table base mounting plates so the table can be moved to multiple locations throughout the van. Also as it is, you can easily put away the table and make the bed with the back doors closed keeping you nice and dry! Thanks!
Thanks Mike! The K02's are 245/75R16 so slightly larger than stock. The Black Rhino Bandolier wheels are 16x8. No spacers needed. You do however have to modify the two alignment posts on each hub. You have to shorten them by .25" or so if I remember right, otherwise the wheels won't seat flush against the hub.
Really thoughtful build! Awesome dove tail drawers! Love the aggressive look with the lift, ladder and low profile roof rack. Thank you Michael! Yes we had thought about getting another Lagun table mount or even another two to mount in different locations. Great Idea. I think right in front of the shower behind the drivers seat would be a perfect second location. It would be tough fitting all of this build into the 10" of cargo space in a 136, but I'm all about problem solving and figuring it out for a future build! We though about a similar lay out as your Thor, but couldn't pass up on opening the back doors to the views while in bed in the morning!
@@adgvans yeah I wish our dinette/bed was at the back doors! If we get serious about getting rid of our new Thor, we will definitely be contacting you! Thanks again!
Thank you Rick, Yes that is a great idea and will likely be included in the next build. It is allot easier to see in person but lights would still be a good idea. We are still learning the camera settings to get more light in as we film.
I like this build a lot, nice job! One question I have concerns the battery charging: I wonder how your system would keep the 600 Ah (~7,600 Wh) of batteries charged off grid with only 400 w of solar and the DC-DC alternator charger. On a good day, the solar would yield about 1200-1600 Wh. Then you have the DC-DC charger. How many amps or watts does yours pull from the alternator? The most typical DC-DC chargers pull 30 amps, or 360 watts. Unless yours pulls more, that would be many, many hours of driving to fill your batteries even half way. Perhaps you have a higher output alternator and DC-DC charger set up?
Hi Paul, Great questions and thanks for the compliment. Sounds like you have done your homework! While I am by no means an expert on electrical (that would be my son Caleb), I think a lot would depend on how a person uses the system while off grid. Conserving energy, like water, would allow one to last longer, allowing the solar to hopefully replenish the batteries. We use a 50 amp Kisae alternator charger with RAM's larger option alternator that was offered with the RV prep package. To be honest I don't know the alternator output. I don't have any technical data but it charges surprisingly fast while driving.
Thanks for asking! both the walls and the ceiling are upholstered with soft faux leather textured vinyl over 1/8 inch of upholstery foam. So you end up with a soft to the touch cleanable surface in a matte finish.
Hi Robert, great question. Hopefully everyone is seat-belted in while the vehicle is in motion! Some say the round edges in an RV are more safe and practical. I think this is only true if you are planning to be out of a seat belt while driving or too much libations perhaps!
Don’t get me wrong I love the modern aesthetic, use of space strategies and everything; I watch a lot of these type videos and it’s the first time I noticed sharp edges, but maybe other builds have them and I just never noticed. Otherwise y’all did a really great innovative build, you should be proud!
@@robertmorgan2219 Thanks Robert much appreciated. Recently I read an article that square edges are coming back into style. I'm not sure if that is true, but I guess if it is we will lead the way! It is honestly something I have thought about and perhaps I'll soften the edges a little in the next build. We shall see!
Thanks for asking JW, Yes we can build out Sprinters too and you can bring your own van. We are very flexible and can work with you and your designs/specifications.
Thanks for asking Joey. Really great question. I can't give a perfect answer but here is an idea. The system runs several ways. If you were parked, you can run the heat via the furnace or the batteries. The furnace runs off of the gasoline in the vans fuel tank. The fuel tank is 24 gallons I think. There must be a minimum of 1/4 tank of fuel to run the furnace. So if you have 18 gallons of fuel, theoretically you could run the furnace 24 hours a day for a total of 4.4 days. Then you can run the heat system off of your batteries, but it will draw down your batteries very fast unless you are generating enough solar to slow the draw. When you draw down your batteries, you could start the van and heat the heating system via the motor's glycol until you run out of fuel completely. So really hard to say, but my best guess is no more than 6 days running it 24 hours a day. I could be way off!
Amazing build, beautiful design esthetics. QUESTIONS: 1) How much fresh water capacity? 2) Can you install a composting toilet (instead of black tank?)
Thanks Paul! It has 20 Gallons of fresh water. We plan to improve the capacity significantly in a future build. Yes we could absolutely do composting toilet on a custom build. Thanks for asking.
All very nice, one thing bothered me is where did he put the table at? Do we throw the table away on side of the road into a ditch? lol Just kidding. But where do you put the table at after converting to a bed?
Great question Darill, I'm glad you asked. We made a black fabric "Table sock," that the table top goes into and then it can be placed in two different locations, excluding the side of the road of course! There is a 3" gap between the bed and the back doors where the top can be set on its side, or there is a space in front of the shower, right behind the drivers seat where it fits nicely. And because it is in the "Table sock" it is protected. - Milo
Beautiful build! I have a question about lifting the van. How do you get that lift without torquing the front components related to the FWD and limiting limiting downward wheel excursion (ie on rough ground pot holes) ? Also did the rear lift increase the rear axle clearance or is that just a factor of being able to use larger tires? Thanks again for showing your excellent van conversion!
Hi Don, Thanks for the compliment and question! The lift is manufactured by Off Highway Van in Salt Lake City. They could probably do a better job than I, explaining the technical aspects of the lift! But without getting too technical, in the front, the lift has spacers for the Sub Frame and the Steering Rack that correct and restores the angles to near stock. The rear lift actually does provide more axle to ground clearance by using spindle spacers that rotate the spindle. If you go to their web site they have a downloadable instruction manual that shows the parts. Hope that helps!
Lol! Thanks D May, I was waiting for someone to catch that! You are correct the Fridge and the stove are both GE not LG! You should get a prize or something!

I want my passenger children to enjoy the trips, is it possible to have two or three seat chair on the back of the driver seat, and i would also want to install cameras to view àll angles on the outside while im inside, and i will want to install a star link on the roof with the ability to rotate to get the right signal for internet while i am inside the van, then this van will be the perfect van for me with everything everything that is inside, please let me if you customized that way.
Hi Lauren, thanks for asking. This particular van is priced at $138,000. Professionally built camper vans usually range from about 90k to well over 200k. Not cheep by any means but they are like a tiny home on wheels and they are very expensive to build.
Unfortunately the Promaster only comes in 2WD Front wheel drive, but the lift and the larger tires provide better ground clearance for the tanks underneath and also improves the looks! At least we think so!!!
$200 grand? More? Come on, give us a hint! Oh and BTW it's a beauty. You thought of everything. The high end aesthetic seems to be a mix of bold and feminine. Nice video too!

Thanks for the compliment Photostory. Yes, the bed is slightly smaller than a commercial "full," at 53 x 72.5 inches. We have plans for a longer bed in a future build.
I wanna know who pays crazy money like what your asking for this ? I know it’s a nice van,but some people have more money than sense, even if I had a spare 200 g’s ,I would rather build my own van, then at least it’s how you want it to be,plus a lot cheaper,
Hi Herby Hannan, yes I totally agree it is crazy money! There are a number of factors driving the current van market. First we have to factor in the current cost of a new off the lot stock van at between 50 and 80k depending on the platform and the features. In the last year the prices have increased by nearly 10,000 and demand is allowing dealerships to sell vans above MSRP. Then the cost of materials. In this van we have nearly 40,000. in just materials. All that is not including the cost of labor. We had three full time workers building this van for several months. So yes it adds up fast. Some people have the time and skills to do a DIY and that is fantastic. Others however would rather pay for someone like ADG Campervans to do the build for them. Thanks for the comment!
This is really top-notch. It's got the sleek, modern feel without feeling boring.

what do these vans cost?
Hi Lauren, thanks for asking. This particular van is priced at $138,000. Professionally built camper vans usually range from about 90k to well over 200k. Not cheep by any means but they are like a tiny home on wheels and they are very expensive to build.
4 WD.?
Unfortunately the Promaster only comes in 2WD Front wheel drive, but the lift and the larger tires provide better ground clearance for the tanks underneath and also improves the looks! At least we think so!!!
Good lookin' build!
Thank you!
$200 grand? More? Come on, give us a hint! Oh and BTW it's a beauty. You thought of everything. The high end aesthetic seems to be a mix of bold and feminine. Nice video too!
Thank you Yoga Down the Road! We worked very hard on this build and yes you are correct, my wife Maria designed many of the aesthetic features while my son's and I designed most of the function. We tried to think of everything! This van is for sale for $153,000. The price is comparable to a Winnebago Travato.
Wheel size ??
Sorry for late reply! The Tires are BFGoodrich K02's 245/75R16 The Black Rhino Bandolier wheels are 16x8.
Very nice car 😀👍👍
Thank you Lasse! 👍
this one is an emercian fiat ducato camper van
Yes they are related. Not 100% the same, but share many features.
Very nice
Thanks!
How much!
How can I get in touch with you
Hi Dawn, you are welcome to send me an email at arnesendesigngroup@gmail.com
Are you in California
Hi Quagmire! We are in Albany Oregon on I-5! Not that far from Cali!
Amazing
Thank you!
Very nice build. The bed is too narrow and not long enough.
Thanks for the compliment Photostory. Yes, the bed is slightly smaller than a commercial "full," at 53 x 72.5 inches. We have plans for a longer bed in a future build.
nice!
Thanks!
WoW!
Thanks Merideth!
How much
Thanks for asking. $153,000.

New sub ☘️
Welcome!!
Meine ist besser 😂alles elektronische sache vorne🙌👍
