About Confidential Assignment 공조:
Lim Chung-ryul, a North Korean detective, was ready for a raid to a counterfeit money factory. Cha Ki-sung, his boss, told him to wait for a backup, but Lim jumped into the scene without an order. The stink turns out to be Cha's set up to get master plates, and Lim lost his wife and colleagues. Cha heads to South Korea to get a deal, and the NK government dispatches Lim to arrest Cha with the help of the SK Government. Lim gets partnered with Kang Jin-Tae, who want to get clear his work record after getting a disciplinary action because of losing the suspect. Of course, the joint investigation is not his real assignment; he has to surveil Lim and report what he is doing. Lim and Kang have only three days to capture Cha and retrieve the plates, but they keep failing to trust each other because of different goals and missions.

this role has got to be one of the easiest roles for Hyun Bin in terms of acting. His character is extremely quiet and focused like his character in CLOY and Come Rain Come Shine.
Hyun Bin can play a variety of roles, but this movie is action genre, his character is quite, so he didn't have a chance to show a lot of acting, but he showed great action scenes. If you want to see Hyun Bin's acting, you can watch The Negotiation he plays the villain very excellent, or Secret Garden he plays the arrogant character very well, he even played multiple personalities in Hyde Jekyll and Me. If you watch those movie/drama, you will see that he is a versatile actor.

I had to double check because I’ll be honest, as a white person I do sometimes have trouble distinguishing between all the Asian faces (this is not a racism thing, it’s a proven psychological phenomenon you can easily google btw!) and I wanted to be sure. It’s the same guy. I’m always paranoid I’m confusing the actors for someone else so I’m constantly fact checking if I think I recognize someone. I saw someone once comment “our favorite K-drama grandpa he’s everywhere!” I forget his name but the guy is a prolific actor!
