Hi @MarkMcKz To make this glitch work, do both copies of theotar and the hero card have to be reduced before the reflector engineer is played? Or can just the theotar which you give to your opponent and the hero card be reduced before your opponent steals it from your hand for the same effect to take place?
I can sense the face expression the other guys have when they think they are winning and suddenly their hero explodes........ Amazing satisfaction just to watch it from your side Mark.... :D
I have also witnessed a bug with theotar. My opponent stole my valish with theo, then i swapped it back and gave him another minion. Both minions suddenly had 0 hp and died instantly when played
I remember running into this with a Big Spell Druid I was home brewing. Sometimes the opponent would Theotar back one of their spells that cost 8-10 (because of Barbaric Sorceress) and randomly their cost would become 0 for me after they swapped. It looks like that’s a similar thing to what’s happening here.
2:25 I think the reason he hit face was since the creature dying would heal you for 5 health, he went face so that he would get 5 health on the quest done (though in this case, only 4)
I feel like this would work better in druid (assuming druid has a way to copy theotar, I can't recall). Because unless they are playing hyper aggro, every class would play guff immediately.
Elise could create a copy of Theotar. Though, the issue with druid is that you want to play multiple heroes to increase the odds of being able to Theotar one across. Druid has only 2 heroes compared to Hunters 3 (Warrior and Warlock also have 3... Warlock can also copy cards with Tome Tampering + Elekk)
5:55 Mark, theotar doesn't count duplicates when discovering cards in hand. (i think, i played vs someone with 3 cards and he only got 2 options because i had 2 k9-0tron + other card)
To make this glitch work, do both copies of theotar and the hero card have to be reduced before the reflector engineer is played? Or can just the theotar which you give to your opponent and the hero card be reduced before your opponent steals it from your hand for the same effect to take place?
Best part is that the opponent does not stop at any point to wonder why he would ever give away Theotar, and trade it for literally the worst card possible...
Thank God u do these videos at low rank or otk/combos could take so long to achieve. Today especially those players looked like Beta players who returned after 5 years of not playing completely clueless to year 1 mechanics 🤣
lmfao @ the intro.. then the terrible freezing trap play.. and the foreshadowing of the dying minion. that he gets to pick an improved secret first with tavish, pointlessly before dying immediately confused for a whole day. just pure gold.
The game still thinks, somehow, heroes are minions in hand (like Jaraxxus back in the day), so given that their health is Zero, that's why the swaped hero insta dies?
Theotar is setting their health *and* attack to zero, as you can see at 6:24 when Mark plays his opponent's Tuskarrrr Trawler. It's a bug having to do with how Theotar handles cards with enchantments, I think.
That would be my guess, yeah. It wouldn't shock me if Blizzard made the hero cards off of the code for Jaraxxus rather than try and create a whole new feature in the game.
I don't understand how Theotar's code could possibly do this. I thought the cards had unique object IDs. It must be trying to separately handling the enchantment of the cards and getting that mixed up? So weird...
It’s not theotar it’s something specific to hero cards since the expansion. He was gaining attack permanently via hero cards with another deck he did recently so apparently they mucked up the code to make things think they’re minions
Heros are a hack job based on Minion coding, with attack set to zero and Health probably set to the player's current health when played. Reflecto is swapping that to Health set to zero, and Theotar hands off the trapped card to the enemy.
I was doing some text analysis on HS cards. I had some weird results and saw that hero cards have a value of 5 armor and 30 health. Thought it was weird and set all hero health to NULL, as it should be. Guess this has actual in-game consequences... think this is related to the snapdragon bug lol?
This is something you notice playing. Whenever you play a hero card, you may notice that you go back to 30 hp during the animation. Only after HP stabilizes to normal value.
what i understand is hero card have 0 attack so when swapped it have 0 health and instantly dies. but hero card have armor instead of health as their ''right' stat and how do they treated as minion by reflecto?
HeartTech is channel that should have much more subscribers, it Presents bany crazy bugs in HS, some of them is just "how does anybody think about such interactions?"
I always thought about this kind of glitches as actually just funny because you can lose to them only once. Also, that bug cannot be exploited forever, because eventually, everyone will know about it and will simply not play the Hero card.
i feel like this is so broken that im going to encounter it on ladder, and then know exactly not to take or play any hero cards at that point, then its a free win 😂
If I understand it right, when Theotar swaps two cards that both have enchantments (cost reductions or stat changes) he sets their stats to 0. All hero cards have hidden 0/30 stats and after Theotar they become 0/0 and die immediately when played. It could work in any class, Hunter is easier because it has 3 heroes.
This is hilarious. I love it, but I'd prob be confused if it were me. It's like you're tricking the opponent to unintentionally kill themselves. Obv, it shouldn't work like that. Still funny. Great video!
Bad warrior otk idea: you gotta play dules, choose rattlegore with the "spiked arms" signature treasure, play knife juggler, spiked arms and the original onyxia, mana wise you have to reduce their cost somehow and the knife juggler would throw many knifes!.
I really think that this is the ULTIMATE Hunger trap, as it makes you want to trigger it even though you don't know what will happen. What better way to die to the ULTIMATE TRAP?
Isnt it simpler to just cast reflecto on a hero card in your hand and give that hero card to them with theo?? you are still swapping 2 enchanted cards . why the extra steps? or are there triggers in the works here that im not seeing?
Reflecto only applied on minion. But when one of play Theotar and swap a (de)buffed card A with opponent's card B(with any buff or debuff), the last enchantment that applied on A is applied again on both A and B so that you can make non-minion card with Reflecto's.
I thought maybe they were getting the power and toughness of the hero swapped from 0 attack and null toughness like how they went to 0 health game 1. But then game 2 the opponent went to -17 so that doesn't explain it either.
This deck is just a reminder that you should never meet your heroes! Remember to like the video and subscribe to the channel for daily Hearthstone content! Thanks guys!
Thor reference I like it
Hooktusk must love this interaction.
After all
“Cheating? I never fight fair!”
Is that a Thor love and thunder reference? lol
Does it work for the first swap, or only when you swap the hero card twice?
Hi @MarkMcKz To make this glitch work, do both copies of theotar and the hero card have to be reduced before the reflector engineer is played? Or can just the theotar which you give to your opponent and the hero card be reduced before your opponent steals it from your hand for the same effect to take place?
I love the combos that require your opponent to literally complete it themselves 10/10
Now for this combo, we need to ask Theotar to strap a C4 bomb to the hero card he's giving to the enemy
😭
What makes this even more hilarious is the opponent thanking you after they get their juicy Theotar
Thank you for showing what a smol indie company's game is capable of
How dare you name the best spaghetti restaurant a small indie company?
You know, sometimes it's amazing to see a smart opponent finding lethal in a dire situation
That's this bug, it also happens with hero cards
So when Theotar swaps two cards that both have enchantments, their stats are set to 0.
Only because one of the enchantments is stat swap (reflecto)
Wdym by enchantments buffs or text wise
thanks for explaining the bug, which is what the video should have done at the start
I guess lol
bro wha
You gave them the loaded gun, they looked in the barrel and pushed the trigger...
A bug is more like an accidentally loaded gun.
I have never seen a hero card with 0 health.
There is no way to know.
Gotta be one of my favorites, the confusion they must feel after seeing the defeat screen
I remember running into this with a Big Spell Druid I was home brewing. You had me at "at which point, they will die instantly." Love your videos, Mark!
I literally laughed out loud at the end of the first match. The match was hilarious all the way through but the ending was something else.
Opponent: What was that?
Mark: Death
Op: What kind?
Mark: Instant.
Opponent: *realizes that, while he's up against Mark himself, that Mark...isn't going face with minions on board for some reason*
Opponent: "Oh no."
Well they were running the heal quest, so not attacking is a decent strategy to stall them getting their hero power online.
@@genzo454 True, I paid no attention to what the opponent had.
But to be fair, Mark always ignores face when doing an instakill combo.
I feel like this would work better in druid (assuming druid has a way to copy theotar, I can't recall). Because unless they are playing hyper aggro, every class would play guff immediately.
But it'll be harder to get a copy of the theotar in druid

Druid has only 2 heroes compared to Hunters 3 (Warrior and Warlock also have 3... Warlock can also copy cards with Tome Tampering + Elekk)
you could copy with uldum elise, much slower though
I think hunter has a more consistent way to copy theotar unlike Druid
Floppy for the second theotar 🤷♂️
5:55 Mark, theotar doesn't count duplicates when discovering cards in hand. (i think, i played vs someone with 3 cards and he only got 2 options because i had 2 k9-0tron + other card)
Thank you so much for filling the hole that was left by Disguised Toast!

"At which point they will die instantly" hit me like a truck.
This might be the coolest combo I've ever seen on this channel
Thank God u do these videos at low rank or otk/combos could take so long to achieve. Today especially those players looked like Beta players who returned after 5 years of not playing completely clueless to year 1 mechanics 🤣
Mark is really tempting the fates and the blizzard HQ with these videos. And I love it. Do take care with all, it's a hilarious bug
Ngl when mark said that’s it for the deck intro with a straight face I laughed out loud 😂❤
lmfao @ the intro.. then the terrible freezing trap play.. and the foreshadowing of the dying minion. that he gets to pick an improved secret first with tavish, pointlessly before dying immediately confused for a whole day. just pure gold.
"he didn't even heal MY face, HOW RUDE." lmao

@@conberate There has to be something more to it, or else it would work with just 1 theotar, by playing reflecto first.
Mark looks like he got Zola'd into a golden version of himself. Complete transformation from a year ago!
This is such a weird and specific interaction, I'm not surprised they didn't see it.
Ok, I follow a lot of your videos, even though I don't play that much anymore, BUT THIS COMBO IS THE SICKEST COMBO EVER XD
I was doing some text analysis on HS cards. I had some weird results and saw that hero cards have a value of 5 armor and 30 health. Thought it was weird and set all hero health to NULL, as it should be.

the theotar bamboozle otk are the best. Thank you for your dedication Mark
The philosophy of "never play a card Mark gives you" continues.
Haha was not expecting you to say that!
And then, they’ll die by playing the card 😂
So I’m thinking this doesn’t work like you said, I pulled this off yesterday 5 different times and nothing happened when they played my hero?
I think that second guy was straight up memeing.
what i understand is hero card have 0 attack so when swapped it have 0 health and instantly dies. but hero card have armor instead of health as their ''right' stat and how do they treated as minion by reflecto?
This has shades of a raptor combo. Instead of raptoring the raptor, we theotar the theotar
You fell for my trap card!
That is a truely bizzare interaction. I can't even imagine what's going on to cause this to happen, but it's funny nonetheless. Good job bliz
HeartTech is channel that should have much more subscribers, it Presents bany crazy bugs in HS, some of them is just "how does anybody think about such interactions?"
My god the amount of time you must have spent trying to make this combo work is mind boggling. so much RNG and reliance on the opponents plays.
I like how one of the people who figured this out has a name sounding similar to "heart attack." Which this essentially is.
This is the first time my brain has melted in a mark deck intro 😂
Would this work with other heroes as well?
so wait, how does this work? Hero's "attack" swaps for their armor/"health" and it kills the opponent?
I always thought about this kind of glitches as actually just funny because you can lose to them only once. Also, that bug cannot be exploited forever, because eventually, everyone will know about it and will simply not play the Hero card.
Does the bug not work if you Theotar your hero card to them?
does this trick works on the Hard Dungeon Quest?
I think this is a feature. Thank you for finding it out and demonstrating it.
Okay, but can this be done in standard? Like... playing Theotar to give your opponent a kurtrus that's discounted with quest or relics?
I think both cards need to have an enchantment to work, so you need to swap reduced Kurtrus with a handbuffed minion.
This has very "prank him John" energy
i feel like this is so broken that im going to encounter it on ladder, and then know exactly not to take or play any hero cards at that point, then its a free win 😂
5:52 discover effects wont hit the same card twice and only a fool would take explosive or the draw taunt over the hero card
for theotar, it can “select” the same card twice and give you 2 options only despite having 4 in your deck.
They really need to do something about the part of the code that treats hero cards as Minions to stop stuff like this and the Snapdragon shenanigans
Who needs to raptor the raptor when you can just theotar the theotar!
what the hell
i knew reflecto engineer was too wacky not to see use in some messed-up combo
I'm so confused, does the combo only work for hunter or what does exactly happen?
If I understand it right, when Theotar swaps two cards that both have enchantments (cost reductions or stat changes) he sets their stats to 0. All hero cards have hidden 0/30 stats and after Theotar they become 0/0 and die immediately when played.
It could work in any class, Hunter is easier because it has 3 heroes.
@@locogato3488 Oh well, that's a weird combo

I wanna see the reaction of the opponent to this lmao
We want a challenge of one of each class doing this.
This is insane. How did you pull this off twice hahaha
Wouldn't it be guaranteed in game 1? I thought they don't show duplicates
Insane otk!
even the deck tracker is having issues with this madness
This reminds of my disappointment every time I played handbuffed Lord J.
What would happen if the adverse hero got an attack buff ? Would he gets the buff but for the life ⁉
Yea he actually made a video doing this in shaman
3 months ago, search "snapdragon bug"
The best otk ever Mark
Now for this otk, we put the health inspecta on the grill
If Zeddy watching this, hes probably scream BLIZZARD! right now.
Just HOW do you figure that out?
Probably just played Theotar and swapped 2 cards with enchantments, and when he saw their stats became 0 he immediately thought of this idea.
If it takes you that much effort, it's well worth it in my opinion. I don't think many people will want to 'exploit' this for Bz to patch it.

HI REFLECTO THINK HERO CARDS IS MINION CARD?
I did not know that 0 health minions die before their battle cry resolves that’s very strange
Actually it was crazy value for him , to heal you u after hit on 2:28 for his quest)
This is the living embodiment of, "You've just activated my trap card!"
How do you even find this?
I really think that this is the ULTIMATE Hunger trap, as it makes you want to trigger it even though you don't know what will happen. What better way to die to the ULTIMATE TRAP?
How do people find stuff like this???
Strange. It feels like the battlecry +1 bug all over again
The Snapdragon that could buff heroes right?
[OFFICIAL BLIZZARD COMMENT]: Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention! We have banned Disguised Toast's account while we look into this issue.
Great video today mark
didnt work for me, 2 games i did exactly this and nothing happened
I hope this doesn't warrant a ban lmao
I don't think they ban people for using bugs anymore, after all it's their fault not the player's.
Isnt it simpler to just cast reflecto on a hero card in your hand and give that hero card to them with theo?? you are still swapping 2 enchanted cards . why the extra steps? or are there triggers in the works here that im not seeing?
I'd be verys suspicious if an enemy just gave me what is normally a very powerful card such as a hero.
Reflecto only applied on minion.
But when one of play Theotar and swap a (de)buffed card A with opponent's card B(with any buff or debuff), the last enchantment that applied on A is applied again on both A and B so that you can make non-minion card with Reflecto's.
How did they even find this interaction...
"Absolutely fool" lmao
Killer Queen has already touched that hero.
I thought maybe they were getting the power and toughness of the hero swapped from 0 attack and null toughness like how they went to 0 health game 1. But then game 2 the opponent went to -17 so that doesn't explain it either.
i think it records the damage your hero has taken and carries it across (priest was at full hp so goes to 0)
The first person was raw dogging
Just a small indie company
Okay this one is too crazy
