We def can’t gloss over the fact that after Scully saw him and Diana “holding hands” that she went out to her car and called him AWAY FROM DIANA and to the office with her. She squelched THAT shit real quick. I’m here for all of it.
She exactly wanted to interrupt them haabha. And she did just fine. Diana is among the people I hate the most hahaha.
She doesn't have any right. it's Mulder's life it's not everything about Scully.
One specific thing that bugged me about the apartment scene was Mulder is exhausted, in pain and has a migraine. Then Diana goes into his room taking off her clothes. Bitch, he is in no condition for physical activity. If it were Scully looking after him, even if they were in a sexual relationship at this point, she would have doctored him and made him rest, not manipulated him into sex.
It was the only way to get it from him....when he was unable to fend her off. She was a skanky Biatch.
Mulder fucked her deal with it. Scully is irrelevant

I cannot express how much I agree with everything in this video. I haven't even gotten to the episode where Diana is introduced but from everything I have read and from all the videos floating around I can safely say that I already hate her with a vengeance. I am dreading every episode that her character is in. (I'm just glad she's out of the picture) -_______-

I am with you. How Scully and Mulder didn't kiss after the "You are my touchstone" scene was crazy, although it did set up season 7 very well with them getting closer and closer until the events of "All Things".

Oh gosh I fucking hated Diana Fowley but I must say all those episodes where she was in made me love Scully even more. All the protectiveness and care that Scully had for Mulder was in total contrast to Diana who was really not interested to help him on his quest. Fowler had her own agenda and for Scully it was all about the journey she and Mulder were on together.
Diana Fowley was the absolute worst, but come on, wasn't it fun hating her? How would we know what jealous Scully looks like without her? How would Mulder have figured out what true love really looks like if he hadn't been forced to compare the two? This changed the entire course of their relationship. From the touchstone moment on, they only got closer and closer. I think they both recognized where they were headed at that point. Could they have gone in the right direction without Diana's "foul" presence to act as a guide? Maybe. But it wouldn't have been as fun.
I don't know, if you watch some of the season 3 episodes jealous Scully does make an appearance.
And we saw it pretty fierce in Alpha 🤣

Oh yes, Fowley was the female equal to CSM we LOVED to hate her each and every episode. Thankfully she was only in five of them.
I get what you are saying but, in season 6 (after he traverses the globe to save her in FTF) you see a shift in their relationship. Then we get Triangle, How The Ghosts Stole Christmas, Field Trip (OMG S6 had so many great ones) pulling them closer, Fowley just delayed the inevitable.

Diana Fowley (that surname suited her), had to be the most hated character on "The X-Files". Even if she did do the right thing in the end, I still dislike her for how she messed with my Mulder and Scully.

Diana Fowley was never going to steal Mulder from Scully: that ship had already sailed. Mulder and Scully were in love with each other by early season 4. When he finally declared his love to her in the hallway scene in Fight The Future, the deal was sealed.
In The Sixth Extinction II, dream-Diana urges Mulder to remain in this beautiful place where he is reunited with Samantha and Deep Throat, and happily married to her. He tells her he has commitments in the real world -- " _to Scully_ , to my work" -- that he must return to. Note his words: he's already made a personal commitment to Scully.
In the real world, Fowley is ultimately defeated by her own conscience. Scully reminds her that, if the situation were reversed, Mulder would be doing everything in his power to save her. That's what prompts her to slip the keycard to Scully, sealing her own doom at the hands of CSM's minions.

I wonder if it was literally intentional for Diana to be a play on Dana, just with an i.. Either way, hated her -- but found she could have made such a greater nemesis. X-Files needed more female villains.

It seems like that would make sense. One of the things with writing is you're not supposed to have characters with similar names. It's just a big no no. Because it causes confusion and coherency issues for the audience.
So, it would make sense it was intentional.
Diana was working with the cancer man but that doesn't mean she's a villain. Even mulder worked with him at some point. He deceives people and it's not easy to get away from him, when he approaches you and wants something from you. Most people that were involved with him didn't have a choice like that military guy that was trying to save his son
I waited so long them to kiss in this scene.Especially when Scully traces her fingers on Mulders face. My reaction was like c'mon kiss each other pls .But unfortunately they ended only with forehead kiss🤦♂️

Girl you made me laugh so hard! This is so accurate. I guess I’m grateful for one thing though, they cast someone who contrasted Gillian completely (if they looked anything alike I would be so mad at Mulder for settling on a ‘type’). I’ll never forgive Diana Fowley and her crazy eyes 😝

The problem with 10/11 mythology was that it had no time for detail, just the big loopy moments but without backup or texture.

We philes can disagree on so many things (shipper, non-shipper, MSR, DSR, whatever) but I think we can all agree that Diana Fowley is the fucking worst. Watching your video just opened up old wounds from watching mid-seasons X-Files. I fucking hated Fowley. I hated everything about her, and I hated how she got vindicated in the end. But at least, she stayed dead.
Also, didn't she kind of rape Mulder when he was going crazy?

oh my goddd LOL I Just watched The End last night (which I never let myself do) cause I just hated it!! CC is all like 'there's no relationship' and then he brings beast-faced woman on and actually makes Scully suffer more. CC loves to make Scully suffer. Great acting on GA's part though. I felt like she had the same concrete slab on her chest that I did LOL. Still to this day when I even think about Diana Fowley it's like a knife is lodged in my heart

I love the way Scully takes the keys to the car and briefly holds them to her heart and where do she and Mulder send a lot of time together...in the car. The scene with "troll" and Skinner was gold. Anytime I get to see Scully sass anyone I'm in for it. Calling them both liars was badass! BTW Scully looks damn hot in that dark suit with the turtle neck.
Oh and Scully don't worry, he chooses you, he will always choose you.

Those marriage vows were written by Duchovny, CC wanted some nonsense as this scene. DD convinced him to shoot this, and it was shot late so GAs hair was different. Just DD doing the lords work, carrying the MSR on his back.

I to hate Diana but I was glad that Chris Carter added her because then we had loads of jealousy going around. Although I will forever be pissed that through out the seasons Scully only had 1 ex-boyfriend. Mulder had 3 (crazy) ex-girlfriends, and a few others a long the way. Diana was a fowl one, and Phoebe Green omg I hated her.
Chemically Bonded Well to be fair two of mulder's ex's are considered non canon since they only appeared or refrenced in those episodes so they don't count.
This isn't correct, there's Jack in Lazarus, the Professor in All Things, Ed thingy from Never Again, there's also the date in Jersey Devil plus the creepy bloke in Milagro.
I wonder if this is partly because the series was always entirely written by men. So the male lead, i.e. Mulder is never given a serious romantic rival for Scully (except in small side characters and Scully always chooses Mulder over them). You can also tell that while Mulder seems to be torn between Scully and girls like Fowley, Scully is always written as more explicitly in love with him (the writers love Jealous Scully). It's telling that it is Gillian herself who gives Scully her one and only serious Non-Mulder-romantic option in All Things, one episode written by a woman. Long story short, the series is very male-centric, which is also why CC did not even want to acknowledge the love story that was clearly there until it was inevitable.
@@hellund2874I really wish female writers had been on the show. We also deserved to see jealous mulder in more than just bad blood. We saw scully jealous on more than one occasion and I much prefer seeing the man jealous instead of woman but that’s just me.

At least in s7 they kiss in millennium and in s8 they kiss , in s9 they kiss in the truth and they are together in s10 and 11, also s6 - 8 shows their love for each other. We got so many moments in s6 - 11, they were destined from the start, so many moments from the start, they are meant to be together

Actually Diana Fowley is the BEST and THANK GOD for her because if I had to watch Mulder with Scully the whole time I'd throw up. So when you say "no one", don't be so sure.
I did like the actress, I even going to lie about that. But on the real I think the character came onto the show to kind of truly bring Dana into the fold but that was just my thoughts
