It is my go to if I am running a long ammo quartermaster build. Flechette pairs great with long ammo, since it hits out much further than buckshot, doesn’t need to be as precise as slugs, and causes bleed that will easily finish off someone tagged with long ammo. In the Caldwell hand cannon it shoots fast enough you can reliably 2 tap at close range so it is still a decent close range option.
Great match. Yes that is actually one of my favorite load outs. Only problem with the Centennial when not pairing it with a same ammo secondary is ammo count… I struggle with it very often. I was watching from that perspective right at the very start of the match. Well done!!! 👍
@@beardedhoser I definitely feel the difference. It feels like I miss out on one or two hit makers or kills either because of the lack of pen or me just choosing not to take some shots because they're behind a metal sheet or something

Very well played! I appreciate the no hunter left behind mentality. Also I couldn't help but chuckle at the transition from the dramatic, "we only had 1 option...", directly into "f***..." on the in game chat. Wasn't expecting it 😂
The music is everything haha. Nice touch man. Agreed on melee- Trauma and Talons have just... horrendous ready-time and terrible range. I want to use them but they need to be updated/buffed Do you by chance know the maximum pellet ranges for buckshot and flachettes for the small, med and full-sized shotties? I was surprised to learn just how short it was on the LeMat for example
I mean the LeMat is kinda understandable it's shorter than even some modern breaching shotguns like the M27 MASS. But mostly for shotguns it's spread that ends up hurting them the most. Someone has the figures for shotguns I'm sure.
@@RandomLombax37 True, but I think the pellets fully disappear at like ~15m, which was surprising. I was trying to see if a single pellet could ignite a barrel or finish a Sparks hit
Since they buffed the centennial it's one of my go to rifles. The only thing I'd swap with this loadout would be get a terminus with levering which benefits both
One heck of a coincidence, I just finished a match just like this (except it was duos) with a loadout I never use - Centennial shorty (silenced) with Caldwell Rival handcannon!! *wiped half the server with my friend too it was fun :)
Damn what a match Still think Flashbombs and Frags need a bit of a nerf. Also, the swinging with Melee weapons have always been a little annoying. For example, I bring the Mosin/Specter bayonet. I actually ran into 4 instances in the past few months where my character decided pumping the gun/bolting the rifle was more important than my immediate input of charging a melee. It's annoying cause the animation of the 2 looks similar when I decide to start running towards the danger.
You didn't need to have ammo issues on the centy, at 7:06 you can see one of the ones you killed on the roof dropped a centy shorty silencer with 10 fmj rounds sitting there for you, but I guess you didn't have time to look if you had to run after the bounty. Still also bugged me that you just insta-burned the guy in pearl when you could've taken his ammo and then burned because he had shorty fmj as well hahaha
But the speed of the swing drives me mad. It's even difficult to hit an immolator sometimes. Okay, I understand the design idea behind this, but this thing should hit faster.
Funny, just disccovered the same loadout for me, well minus the fmj ( don't like to bring two custom ammo guns in a match, espacially if the ammo pool is as limited as with the cenntanial). Found it to be pure fun, also it has never worked for me as well as it did for you in this match. And thanks for the entertaining game ;-)
It's been awhile since I've played but i always prefer penny over anything. If you're in close its really effective and most of the time you get more base ammo.
that "I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die" spam is understandable, but an exhibit A of why the people in my gamer group only use push-to-talk. On top of the aiming, audio, and game knowledge skills that this game calls for, it's important to have the ability to give clear and concise information on what's actually important. "I'm Outta stamina, I need to run from this hive, can you kill it please?" And then clear the airwaves so people can hear. Unrelated, but do you ever run throwing axes instead of a knife? You can clear grunts with more efficient stamina usage, and you can kill hives/armoreds at range with a single throw. They're quicker and sneakier than fusees. You just have to remember to always throw, never melee, when dealing with AI. They're also useful when killing Butcher with the least amount of stamina expenditure, depending on your loadout.
pls make a video on how to handle 5 star lobbies! I do fairly well when my mmr is 4 star, but once i get 5 star mmr all of a sudden all the hunters are so much more difficult doing bunny hops and other irregular movements and rocking overpowered loadouts (i.e. crown and kings and avtos)
The higher mmr you go it's about game sense more than anything. I'll give a few tips. It's good to understand what weapons the enemies have and the strengths of those weapons and assessing the strength of your weapon and it's strengths. Take a smart first shot that hopefully gets an early down. Avoid triggering sound traps so you don't get ambushed. Make sure you have good cover and don't repeak the same spot twice. Compound knowledge is big too. You can guess what window they will rotate to next at times if you know the compounds well enough. Hunt is a deep game, there's more to it than those few tips, but hopefully they help you some. Aiming isn't the biggest factor in Hunt. It can definitely help, but game sense can win you a fight over someone with better aim. My aim isn't that great myself, but I seem to get by pretty well with outsmarting people.
@@ravantgarde1899 I’m currently replacing my Beyerdynamic dt990 pros with Hifiman Sundaras. But the ones I would suggest for this game, or any game where directional sound is very important is the Beyerdynamic Tygr 300R. Really wish I got those instead of my 990 pros.
