Unicorn Overlord is definitely my big game I'm looking forward to in March, but I recently acquired the original Dragon's Dogma on sale on PSN and wanna give it a try. If I end up loving it, the sequel will absolutely be on my list
Hi David! Played the Unicorn Overlord demo and loved it! Definitely a purchase for me. I'll have to hold off on FF7 Rebirth until it comes to PC but I am really forward to that one too. Thanks for all your hard work bringing us all the rpg news. Have a blessed day!
I really wanted to like Legend of Legacy-reminded me vaguely of Saga FF Legend. But I loved the “sequel” Alliance Alive HD! Hoping this remaster will bring it up to that level maybe??
I´m hyped for Legend of Legacy and Unicorn Overlord. So I´ll play some The Alliance Alive and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim in anticipation. March is going to be great.
Can we talk about the recent Demos of Granblue, FF7 and Unicorn Overlord. In my opinion Demos never had that amount of quality and content in the past.
I have been waiting for Unicorn overlord. I loved the demo and this makes me so happy. I hope they do an ogre battle reboot. This game shows that it can be done Dave you always make great videos and you show how much you love games. Keep these videos going.
There's also the physical release for OPUS: Echo of Starsong...okay, it's only an RPG in that you upgrade your ship, but it's still great. And having played the Unicorn Overlord demo, pretty much everythibg else coming out this month just feels like a bonus.
Unicorn Overlord has such detailed sprites in combat that if you give me a Final Fantasy 4 or 6 remake with that much details in sprites I would pre-order right away not a fan of the HD2D games as I don't like a blurry mess it was fine on PS1 and SNES/NEW era but not in 2024 nor do I wanna full FF7 Remake treatment either given they might cut it up and sell it to me in pieces and that along the fact it would take so long to produce.
Horizon Forbidden West is a sequel. They just called it definitive edition because on PS4&5 it had a few content updates and they show with "definitive" that those are all included from the start. Im super hyped for it.
I want to love legend of legacy and a couple of other similar games nis has ported from the 3DS but it feels so scummy for the price. $50 for a port of a 10 year old game just doesn’t seem right. The only times I’ve not had a problem with it is when there’s multiple games bundled together for the same price (baiten kaitos and advanced wars). Give me something premium for the premium price or charge less for it. Otherwise you just get added to deku deals And I understand that the two examples I’ve listed are older games but for the same price we at least got two games.
75,000 is right around the corner David! People are starting to realize where the End-All Be-All section of JRPG heaven is! Great to see you getting the recognition buddy!
I'm looking forward to Unicorn Overlord and Rise of the Ronin, but to be honest, I'll probably play them at later date. There's no way I'll finish FF7 Rebirth in such a short time and I still got Persona 3 Reload to finish.
Unicorn Overlord and Rise of The Ronin are two of my most anticipated games on March. I'm curious about Dragon's Dogma 2, although I was not too pleased with the original game, especially its open world and story.
Ik the Paper Mario TTYD remake is not a JRPG, but it is coming on the 22nd of March. I'm full of hype for this game and others that David has provided!
We really need more turn based RPGs with great storylines told with love to the fans. I really miss those times where you’d open final fantasy VI US version and bought a converter (because EU SNES couldn’t take US SNES GAMES) and then listen to the music of “Awakening” while looking at Yoshitaka Amano’s perspective of the characters, summons and enemies in the little booklet. Everything felt like a complete piece of art that was not just to consume and next, but to cherish for a life time. CAN WE HAVE THAT AGAIN? 🤣🤣🤣
I have both Rebirth and Unicorn Overlord pre-ordered. The Legend of Legacy is one that I've been looking forward to; I missed it on the DS so I'm hoping to pick it up for the switch.
Thanks so much David! I didn't even realize that Blade Prince Academy was coming out this month! Now I have to figure out how to fit that in with Unicorn Overlord, Thaumaturge, and Millenia. Not to mention i still haven't caught up from February. This has been a great start to the year.
I’m late to the game here, but Star Ocean Second Story R on the PlayStation portal will be taking up most of my free time this March! What an absolute gem. I’m really looking forward to Unicorn Overlord too
I’m not sure why but Unicorn Overlord feels like a mobile game to me, judging from visuals alone and watching from a phone screen? I don’t know much about the game and I’m sure it’s much better than a mobile title but it just feels that way to me. Maybe it’s because of the art style? Or maybe the UI reminds me of those? Idk 😅 To each their own I suppose 🤔
Alliance alive was absolutely fantastic. I could never get into legend of legacy because it essentially forces you to use a character to block every turn or else you simply wipe
Depending on how long I’ll be playing FF7 Rebirth (I suspect it to be a month at least), I think ill be pushing back these games in the later months.. hell, I haven’t even played P3R yet. All good, these are the good problems I want in my life.
The only one I am somewhat interested in is Unicorn Overlord but I'm not a big fan of RTS. April however is gonna make my wallet cry! lots of good games that month
Do you have any suggestions for an 8 year old reader? My son likes reading, and likes video games, but there is no overlap. Are there any RPGs appropriate for an 8 year old who likes Minecraft and super smash brothers? Would games like Final fantasy 1 or chrono trigger (only RPGs I’ve played) still hold his interest or are there better ones today? I went from chrono trigger to Skyrim so there’s a huge chunk of RPGs I don’t know about.
I don't comment often, but I wanted to say Dragon Warrior for the NES was the game that got me hooked on RPG's. Also, Civilization 2 was the first PC game that hooked me. So many late nights saying "just one more turn". Those were simpler, but good times.
Hey David did I miss it or have you not covered Secrets of Grindea 1.0 release? It's on Friday and it's one of the best ever Secret of mana style rpgs ever made
@@davidvinc oooh nice I should never have doubted you hehe I'm stoked to play it. I am frustrated though that like when Crosscode launched in 1.0 in Sept 2018 it got NO press or major publication reviews. I always wondered if they lacked or never got a publisher deal or something. Can you shed any insight on that? Why did Crosscode have to go through word of mouth alone when it had a great early access period and should easily have been nominated for RPG of the year along with Octopath, MHW etc. And how could Secrets of Grindrea avoid this fate? Prob too late obviously but you compare it with Sea of Stars and Chained ehcoes and they got WAY more press even though all 4 titles I mentioned are of the same tier quality and prodution of game?
Dragon's Dogma has the battle system that i feel other high fantasy series like Dragon Age were trying to tackle but failed to do so. Nothing more fulfilling than climbing and ogre and stabbing it in the eye. So looking forward to Dragon's Dogma 2.
Rebirth, Unicorn Overlord and Dragons Dogma in a one month period? Life. Is. Good.
Agreed!
Unicorn Overlord is definitely my big game I'm looking forward to in March, but I recently acquired the original Dragon's Dogma on sale on PSN and wanna give it a try. If I end up loving it, the sequel will absolutely be on my list
David is the only person on UA-cam who correctly pronounces the word "plethora".
Can't wait for Unicorn Overlord, first game I preordered in awhile!

Dragons Dogma is back omg already. The date completely slipped my mind
I really wanted to like Legend of Legacy-reminded me vaguely of Saga FF Legend. But I loved the “sequel” Alliance Alive HD! Hoping this remaster will bring it up to that level maybe??
Unicorn overloaded looks so good
Always up for these vids, but I’d love to see more cooking/healthy living vids too!
I'm going to DL an emu and play Grandia😭
All this game make me miss old RPGS
I’m honestly most excited for unicorn overlord, I became obsessed during the demo. However I am also really excited for dragons dogma and ronin
Haven't adapted my eyes yet on the UI in Unicorn Overlord especially the menu and combat UI but overall the story and gameplay is great.
I have been waiting for Unicorn overlord. I loved the demo and this makes me so happy. I hope they do an ogre battle reboot. This game shows that it can be done

Unicorn overlord and rise of the ronin for me cuz ff7 rebirth is taking forever been awhile since I've tried to 100% something
Unicorn Overlord is the one I am most stoked for, but I still need to play the demo! Too many games this year, it's hard to keep up!
Why nobody talk about inzuma 11
I am looking forward to Unicron Overton, it looks neat
75,000 is right around the corner David! People are starting to realize where the End-All Be-All section of JRPG heaven is! Great to see you getting the recognition buddy!
Got unicorn overlord, Dragon's Dogma 2 and rise of ronin already go can't wait play them just gonna be a pain since 2 of them are out same day
Same, these will hold me off until the summer when Visions of mana and trails through daybreak come out.
I'm looking forward to Unicorn Overlord and Rise of the Ronin, but to be honest, I'll probably play them at later date. There's no way I'll finish FF7 Rebirth in such a short time and I still got Persona 3 Reload to finish.
My poor childs college fund

Unicorn Overlord, obviously, and while I would love to play Rise of the Ronin, I don't have a PS5.
Nothing too exciting for me except Unicorn Overlord. With FFVII and Shiren out this week. I have enough to hold me over until April.
Is Shiren story good? I've played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series and enjoyed the story but not sure if Shiren will click to me.
Ik the Paper Mario TTYD remake is not a JRPG, but it is coming on the 22nd of March. I'm full of hype for this game and others that David has provided!
?? Yes it is?
@@morriganrenfield8240 Checked and you right my bad I was pretty stressed out from work

Unicorn overlord is absolutely great! Really enjoyed the demo. Pre-order the game. However, the wallet is hurting. In the backlog is full

I'm looking forward mostly to Unicorn Overlord
Only 2 games interest me, Unicorn Overlord, and that really because of the map, and Dragons Dogma 2.
1. Unicorn Overlord
2. Dragn Dogma 2
3. Rise of Ronin
that will be mine game for the month
bro im enjoying unicorn overlord! imo it dethroned orge battle...i hope they make more tactical and strategic rpgs
Alliance alive was absolutely fantastic. I could never get into legend of legacy because it essentially forces you to use a character to block every turn or else you simply wipe

However none of them are for me and I still can't afford a PS5 anyways.
You are bound and detrmined to make me max out my Game Stop card, aren't you? 😉🥰🤣
10 new rpgs come out while i have like 100s on the backlog lol
I wanted to like legend of legacy but i just didnt grab me
I hope I can still play it all. right now, I'm in prison
David JRPGs are the way to go
Add time stamps to your videos please

Try super Mario RPG, he’ll like that
@@davidvinc thanks! I would like him to try the fantasy genre. Anything new rpg games he might like in that vein?
