What does he mean when he says “sponsor a foster family?” at 2:01

Just found this a year late... woah.
      To clarify the 2:01 statement:
There is probably only about 30 families that are homeless here that have children living without a house (living in a tent or a car). We have more than 30 churches here in West Hawaii. If each church entity dedicated resources and commitment, they could end that problem.
      Possible solutions are:
      1. An individual or a family decide to become a " temporary foster family" and receive training and room available to help foster a child while the bio parents complete a service plan (treatment, job training, etc.). Then once the parents are stable, they can provide a home. During this time it's called TFC (temp foster care) where the foster homes can plan visitations for the bio parents.
      2. A church or community can provide enough resources to help a family pay for rent/needs. Maybe 800-1500 a month with either conditions or none. Some conditions could be entering parenting classes or participating in wrap around services like therapeutic home visits or job development. The goal is their own interdependence. If a church can take a tithe to help pay their church mortgage for a building, perhaps they would be open to helping homeless children have a safe home too.

Hey I tried going to the webpage that is listed at the end of the video but it says page not found. I’d love to know who I should call to start the suggestion that you made above.
