As a non vegan, I've been wanting to try some dishes to transition. However, I noticed that vegan people assume we know what they are talking about. For example, I don't like tofu.... So I thought. Until a vegan person explained the difference in tofu soft firm ect... And how to use them. But I still have no idea where to buy it, best brands, and how to tell them apart. 🤦
Depending on my budget, I may buy the least expensive. If i can though the organic is healthier and I buy it. I've read that soy beans are quite contaminated from insecticides. Tofu is sold at my Walmart. So far as firmness, I always buy the firm. It's more versatile for me. It holds together well for the most common of my uses such as frying and air frying. I cut it up into cubes, air fry, and serve it with a dip.

I usually by extra firm I don’t really care about the brand just grab the cheapest one you like
