The Ibaraki mascot manhole cover was adorable :) :) Old people and babies are so sweet :) You do kinda look like that Rosanna lady!! The black swans were beautiful. I probably would have went for the sour plum soft cream, although Mary didn't seem to like it, LOL!!! All of the blossoms were gorgeous!!! I loved that lady's Kimono, too!! Mary's outfit was so pretty!! I LIVE for bamboo!!! I find it peaceful, also!! Taylor B. would have loved all of the plants and flowers you could buy :) :) Sarah cleaning off Mary made me giggle :)
We visited Kairakuen in December and I was imagining it all in bloom. Loved Mito! Couldn’t agree more when it comes to the bamboo grove. Kyoto doesn’t have the only one.

When I lived in Southern California we had some nice places like this and two had Japanese areas & gardens but not at such a grand scale. Hmmm... I wonder if that had any effect on me as a child falling in love with Japan. Haha!

I spent 24 hours in Mito / Ibaraki once. That park was definitely a highlight and I've got pics of my friends doing jump shots in the bamboo grove 😁 I like your travel vlogs the best...because I am an inaka girl at heart❤
Kairakuen-park is one of my favorite place to visit this time of the year(and yes, the special station only opens on weekends,and it's one way...) They also have Sakura trees, nice to have a hanami picnic.🌸 🍶 Senba-lake, swan boat, and black swan... very Natsukashii ! Thanks for visiting Mito-city. (^^)

I have serious Swan trauma not kidding! Once as a child I was sleeping in a hammock on our summer cottages beach and I was woken up by a gigantic male Swan! I fell into the ground and ran to the house and then I saw the female Swan and babies. He probably though I was a danger to them.. Never ever did I sleep in that hammock again lol! Mary is such a cute baby ♥♥♥ Can I have one Mary please and you and Sarah as my friends thank you Universe ♥
