Oh, to see it in a theater, where it should be seen. I managed to see West Side Story in 70mm on a large curved screen in Seattle. Spectacular. I went to the very first showing of "Close Encounters" at the Cinerama Dome. We jumped at the opening. I saw the Sound of Music in 70mm in 1965 during its roadshow run on a curved screen in Columbus, Ohio. The experiences are memorable ones because the presentation is so great. Greatest of all, the very first show of Star Wars, the 10am show on that Wednesday in May 1977 at Grauman's Chinese Theater, shown in Superpanavision 70. I'll never forget the experience.
Absolutely right, even now, to go to Bradford and see that Giant Curved Screen is an amazing experience. For all it's size and clarity IMAX just doesn't equal that
Hello- the b&w beginning showing the marquee with Cinerama in large letters is inaccurate. This is Cinerama opened at the Broadway Theater not the Warner. it went to the Warner afterward.

Never forget seeing all original Cinerama Movies, wonderful experience which, good as it is, IMAX can never equal

Thank you David Strohmaier!
yes a hundred times over
Attention to detail IS Cinerama in general. 🎉
I wonder how this would look like with closer, stadium style seating like in imax, probably better than imax honestly.
i love cinerama

Availability of stock footage is limited and growing more scarce every year. 😢
