as a Japanese person, i love snowy escape even tho i don't care about skiing because the world and the furniture really feels like familiar to me, and i'm also happy that people can get a taste of my home! i'm so excited to get to see the english countryside through this pack.

Ah I would love that; my family is from Poland and my husband’s family is from Hungary and there’s just a certain quaintness about the towns and villages that I adore. Even if they just did a “kit” or stuff pack so that way I could incorporate the look into existing worlds I’d be happy.
yes i agree. i’m from poland and i think if they ever did eastern europe they should focus on the popular cities because most of the time the poorer places are very gray and depressing . Bu at the same time if they ever did poorer countries i think they would romanticise them so much to the point where they don’t look like how they’re meant to be

I’ve always struggled with the “Americanness” of the sims and it’s so nice to have a pack that is relatively representative of the area I live in (Cotswolds). I will be buying this when it comes out!! Thank you for showing it Jesse 🥰

The base game worlds are very American, which makes sense as Maxis/EA are American companies and Sims has ALWAYS favored American environments (which I have not heard complaints about this for Sims 2 and Sims 3). But Windenburg? Glimmerbrook? The what’s-it world from DU? Even Brindleton Bay can mirror some beach towns in Britain. There are literally only three worlds that aren’t northern hemisphere/western culture-based.
The complaining of Europeans about it really just rubs me the wrong way. Y’all colonized the entire planet and now you’re complaining about LACK of representation in a video game? Come off it. The audacity lmao.
@@parryyotter We aren't asking for more representation per se - only that they don't just throw different EU architectural styles and enviroments into one messy hodgepodge stereotype like with Windenburg. Each country's, while sharing some similarities, is vastly different at the end of the day.
...That said, I'd really, really love to see the next couple worlds set somewhere completely ignored by the franchise as of now.
I love the new world too, but we really need to diversify the Sims worlds NOW. Like what about literally any African country? Or South America? Or the Meditteranian or maybe Austrian or Swiss mountains? There is sooo much more and I hope we see it soon because it's just boring if we get any more American, UK worlds after this

Duude! You should totally build the Salem witch house. It is the house where one of the judges lived during the witch trials, but it is the perfect combination of the cottage living pack and the realm of magic pack. Also I love that house and think you could make a really cool version of it in Sims.

I can relate to your feelings. Ever since I was a child, all I've ever wanted was to have a cottage in the countryside. It's a dream that has never changed as the years have passed by. So this pack is one I'm very excited about because it kind of relieves a bit of my longing about having this type of house and lifestyle.
absolutely same. ever since I can remember that was the dream to at the very least retire in an English cottage by the sea and paint pictures. But brexit happened and with climate change who knows if there even will be that retirement. So I’ll love out my dreams with the game. excited for that.

Unfortunately I'm a broke uni student, but maybe one day :( atm my bf is buying an apartment in a kinda-countryside area that has some land avaiable for purchase, my dream has switched to the more "realistic" option of buying cheap land kinda near the house and putting my animal companions there :) rescuing farm animals and treating them as they deserve
This pack re-ignited my cottagecore fantasy so much that I started playing it in the Sims 3 😂 In my situation, it's not likely to happen, but I'm grateful we have an outlet for our dreams.

i love hearing a youtuber talk so openly and enthusiastically about their special interests! being autistic myself, i find it difficult to fully explain my own special interests like Monster High, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and making custom fashion dolls. but seeing Plumbella be so happy and excited talking about her special interests, it makes me feel seen and understood for once!

I’m super excited for this pack as I live in the British countryside and I love vintage and Victorian styles. It costs a lot though but it comes out on my birthday and I have requested it as a present (and one of my favourite tv shows season two comes out the day before)

I'm the person who first point out the name and the possible connection, ai can link to my original thread and comments on Reddit for those who don't believe. I got so much hate by some people for making the connection, which put me off so much from the Sims community.
I'm not a car person, but Henry Ford is a pretty big deal in Economics theory. Even if it wasn't about this particular pack, considering how many cars are in the world I still find it suspicious. I would keep an eye out for more hints in the future.

Can we just take a moment to talk about how BEAUTIFUL this build is?! Like I saw it in your first couple LPs of this pack, but my Lord the DETAIL that you put into is on another level. Like I haven’t played the sims in forever because I find it to be boring and I find updating and fixing CC to be unpleasant, however, I might have to drop some cash on this and play again. I’m a big fan of your content. Whatever you end up making I will end up watching ❤️ do what what makes you happy my dude. I can tell that you are exceptionally happy in these videos and that makes me excited for you. Especially with the state of the world, seeing a content creator be so honest about mental health, and just the overall struggle I think most of us have had this past year and a half, it brings me so much happiness when I see content creators I enjoy genuinely enjoy themselves again.
I feel like you'd love the Ambleside area near Windemere! My bf took me out there when I went to visit him and it was so lovely, and there were a lot of sheep.

the paradox is like…TS4 *doesn’t* need cars bc it’s a closed world, but it also *does* need them bc 1.) I need things to take up space on my unchangeable GIANT lots, and 2.) I’d love something to spend money on when my sims get too rich too fast. lmao
It wasn't in the UK, but I grew up on a little classic farm near Hershey, PA. White house and barn, big rooster weather vane, big bell on the roof my mom would ring at dinner time, etc. We had a giant garden right next to the house and fields around on all sides. I practically lived with the dairy cattle as a kid, I'd fill my backpack with snacks, water, books and a pencil and paper and spend my day under a giant old tree on sunny days. We also had sheep, which I sort of wish were in this pack because they're adorable and kinda dumb, but I love the llamas too and they make sense for The Sims. Parts of this expansion really remind me of my childhood, so excited to play with it!

Hi! Native Detroiter here. Henry Ford, though not the inventor of the automobile, was the inventor of the assembly line, which allowed cars to be mass-produced. That's how Detroit became the Motor City. (We literally have a museum called the Henry Ford Museum just outside of Detroit, and there are soooooo many cars there, including some prominent presidential transportation vehicles!)
Henry Ford's house (I believe) was on Bagley St., a street in Detroit. So Henry Ford gets shortened to HenFord, and he lived on Bagley, which gives you Henford-on-Bagley! That would be super cool if we were getting cars in the next expansion pack or something!

Ever since I visited Ireland a couple of decades ago, my goal for life has been to move to a small cottage in a rural village in Ireland, or somewhere in the UK. Germany or France in a pinch.
When the pandemic started, I had been trying to figure out a time when I could get to a Disney park to see Galaxy's Edge, so Journey to Batuu was like a chance for me to pretend I was taking the vacation I wanted.
Now The Sims is giving me the retirement I wanted.

second of all, thank you so much for speaking about covid and mental health, it was really refreshing to hear you talk about it. especially the bit about “things that used to make me uncomfortable are now debilitating,” that’s something i’ve struggled HUGELY with and to hear you put it into words was really validating.
third of all, the reason that i love your content so much is because it’s so unique. i’m sad to hear you say you’ve lost confidence in doing those types of series, like the entire history of series, because things like that (i feel) are where your personality shines through the most and i think they’re just so interesting and different from the other sims content that you see on youtube everyday. you and your channel are my favorite, you’re like a breath of fresh air! i would literally watch anything that you put out, and i know i’m not alone! so please do what makes you happy! :) xo
the salem witch trials is one of my intensive interests and has been since i was very little (i built current day Salem in the Sims during lockdown lol) so when you mentioned doing a recreation i literally gasped loudly so i cant wait for that and also this house came out so good!!

As a 30 year old swimmer who just found out she’s autistic and has been struggling a ton in the pandemic (stuck at home with two very loud small children who we now think are also autistic, while also running a business I started a week before the pandemic), I’m loooooooving the transparency in this video!!

Hearing somebody else talking about how the pandemic affected them mentally-wise puts me more at peace. I’ve been dealing with sporadic episodes (usually week-long) of insomnia where I can’t fall asleep until 5 in the morning. Sleep-wise, earlier this year, I’ve also started getting reoccurring nightmares that involved me/my loved ones getting exposed to the virus and catching it. Every time I’ve woken up from those nightmares I had to pass at least a couple of minutes of panic before realising that what I saw was not the truth and it was all in my head.
I feel more anxious, sometimes more sad, but I don’t really feel comfortable talking about it because firstly the virus hasn’t affected me or my loved ones directly (yet) like others, and secondly because everybody seems to be okay with living through these crazy times that I feel mostly out of place.
It’s always weird to hear that she’s from Boro, cause I’m from there too and it’s really nice having some smoggy representation 😂
Honestly, I get really bored while watching speed builds but this video got me hooked, I was glued to the screen, Jesse's voiceovers are just so interesting and entertaining.
I'm all for an Entire History Of custom content -- one of my fondness memories of Sims 1 is finding someone who made BTTF skins for the Sims and making Doc Brown, Marty McFly, and their families and turning them into wizards and whatnot. (Makin' Magic is always going to be my favorite pack too off nostalgia alone. :) ) And hey, nice build! I'm always impressed by people who can just make a house out of nothing -- I generally need a starting point to get myself going! It's a cute cottage and I'm enjoying it in the LP. :)

I’m glad you brought up the phone boxes because although it wouldn’t be that useful for actual phones but,,,, I think it would have been fun (and realistic to British culture) if they made them woohoo spots. They could probably use animations for things they already have and make it steam up or something but I just think that would have been a funny addition to this pack

I've been really enjoying learning about the poor, working, and lower-middle class of Victorian England and I feel like you may enjoy it too! It's called "The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper" by Hallie Rubenhold.

I really get what you’re saying about the building in your own world thing! It’s probably not very popular and I’d have no idea what kinda mainstream thing they would do with it, but I’d love to have an Eastern European/Slavic inspired world to see our culture! My favourite pack is Island Living but this one will probably be my new favourite because i can create my DREAM life with this pack (except for horses, i wish we had horses) and the cottagecore/country/farm aspect of it is amazing, the clothing is adorable and the ANIMALS ARE THE BEST PART OF IT!!
