Love Mike's transparency on the brand, it's refreshing and you can tell he genuinely cares about the products they put out without being pretentious. I also remember loving going to the early learning centre as a child
CW is a great brand, I own many of the “usual suspects” like Grand Seiko, Omega, Tudor, Oris and so on, and I gotta say that I find myself navigating back to my C60 Trident time and time again more than any other watch in my collection
I have a second gen trident, has held up remarkably well over the last 10 years. And Mike was thrilled when I wore it to Watches and Wonders in SF back in May 😂
The thing about Christohper Ward is I can say I would probably wear any of their watches. Theres not a bad one in the line-up. Not all brands boast that versatility.
I’m glad Christopher Ward is getting his due. They make great watches for the price and I will be visiting your Dallas showroom very soon to purchase another Christopher Ward.
What a story, this was a lovely show. I didn’t start appreciate CW’s design until they made the Bel Canto and the Twelve. But now I’m completely sold. With the Lumiere they’ve finally done a diver I like as well.
Loving this work, the space looks awesome and I’ll be sure to visit as a loyal CW customer and collector of other brands. This video with Andrew and Mike gives me vibes of Teddy B and the obnoxious other guy where they stand in his outlet and discuss a tray of pieces. This is heads and shoulders above Teddy, and I say that respecting Teddy’s work.
I've lived in Tasmania.... Interesting talk.. very interesting. The Jump Hour and Bel Canto are so cool. Ooh the 5 day double barrel.. Interesting, I need to know more.. The Bel Canto, this is very clever for many reasons.
Great back and forth gents. A pleasure to watch and enjoy. Side note, Time&Tide Overshirts, can we get these made for the supporters of what you do please? Love the look and would love to get my little paws on one. Thank you all.
Really enjoyed the interview....Liked Andrew's laid back interview style whilst Mike's honesty and business and design insight was really interesting...hope that CW continues to have the courage to innovate which puts some of its more establihsed peers to shame...Would be keen to find out what watch Mike was wearing in the interview....ALS or PP? 🙂
The CW Sealander GMT white dial can be a one and done collection for most. Then again it’s not a collection with only 1 watch in it, so pick up a 12, Bel Canto and pick a diver of theirs and you’re all set.
I wish they launch a banger of a dress watch. They've been too focused on sports watches. The moonphase is beautiful but I wouldn't buy an aventurine watch right now. Kind of too much for most occasions
Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."
It's a Melbourne thing, no doubt. I want Andrew to make me a macchiato using single-origin coffee from an Amazonian hill tribe, when I discover watches at the studio
This is the most personable yet relaxed CW interview I have seen so far. I have been enamored with this company for years now and finally purchased my first CW (Trident C60 Lumière). As a southern African American gentleman from Atlanta Georgia, I can attest that Christopher Ward transcends all kinds of demographics. I just wish they had a local supplier, so I don't have to deal with customs delays and fees. Also super curious about what he was wearing under the sleeve.
@Timeandtidewatches Maybe it's something with a tourbillon! I've been racking my 🧠, trying to think of what they haven't tackled yet. It could also be an improvement on a previous model, though..... I hope they reveal it soon. Would also love to get your take on Venezianico's Arsenale Ultrablack. I ordered one last week and I'm hoping the quality is as advertised. I would be willing to send it to you, if you want to do a review (although, I'm certain Venezianico would send you one in a heartbeat).
@ the guys are fantastic people for sure. But the actual content of the piece was significantly lacking. No perspective, compared to other brands. No speciality around the uniqueness or not of the watches. Nothing gripping about the movements. So Ward is really a commercial story not an interesting horological concept at all…
@@edwarddavis6827 wow okay thats a better angle. But the rest of the people in the comments here clearly think differently to you. But your entitled to your own opinion. Thanks for commenting
I would not say overhyped but the point is that it is very hyped. People say Rolex is hyped when it isn't, and completely ignore how much actual hype there is around CW, Studio Underd0g etc.
They make great watches and I like the brand a lot (own 20+ models) but there has been a notable increase in hype this year and I'm the sort of person that gets turned off by it!
This is one of those interviews that pushed me further from the brand. Sorry CW, your CEO presented as arrogant and his insights on the brand were bland. 🥱

That was a genuinely entertaining and informative interview. I had it on in the background while I was working, until I stopped getting any work done.
😅 happy as ever to distract
This is fkn fantastic! I just happened to have my C63 Sealander GMT 39mm white dial on as I started watching this.
🤟🏼🤟🏼 Mike is fkn fantastic !
Went to the CW offices on Thursday for their Bel Canto event. Cracking event and will be coming back again, maybe next time to buy my third CW.

Have been a fan of CW since 2017 .... loving their growth .... please keep going. Great interview Andrew.

I brought CW just before they blew up little smug about that. Give respect where it’s due they have come very far.
The last few strides have been enormous
Just like an indie band - I was into them before they blew up yo

Worth separating the hype from the actual watch - and it’s extraordinary to me how good the new watches are compared to where the brand started - A
Great interview. Aesthetic, innovation at incomparable value. Deserves success
