In 2024 I want you to keep creating the type of content you enjoy making. Your work wear videos are excellent. As for suggestions, I like themed/focused videos. I would also like to see videos on outfits built around specific items of clothing. For example skirts, dresses, trousers, jumpsuits, suits. And outfit videos focused on activities/events, i.e., casual weekend wear, travel outfits (including those that might get us into 1st class🙂), barbecue outfits, party wear, and first date outfits. As for visiting your mother's grave, follow your instincts. It is a matter of spirit. Maybe you are reluctant to return to the state she is buried in and your mother doesn't want you to have any no-go areas.

Donna it can be terrifying, I did I knew and made corrections adjustments and I proceeded. I had no idea what I was doing in Jan 2023, I just started posting videos and kept looking at videos about starting the channel. Still don’t have all the answers but I keep researching and trying to improve. Don’t give up, you can do it!!!!!!

Lol...oh some similarities. I accumulated the majority of my wardrobe from thrifting being that my style dictates that I thrift and I needed clothes for the office. I use to thrift practically every weekend and definitely during any holiday sale where everything's 50 % off as this former neighborhood thrift store use to have on any and every holiday from the top of the year for new year's and MLK and every month thereafter including Valentine's day, St Patrick's day etc... even "back to school" sale. Thrift stores don't do those sales as frequently anymore. Just as well...since the major expansion of my wardrobe throughout my adulthood, last year I came to the realization that I need to make more use of the wardrobe I have and besides, not too much appeal to me when shopping or thrifting anyway because I have a lot already so it must be something truly out of the ordinary or something very basic that I don't have. I hear you on the shoe size. Most of my wardrobe is thrifted but most of my shoes have been purchased retail because I also wear size 10 and even at retail, you'll need to grab them when you can especially once they go on sale.

I was becoming curious about your profession too considering your great "get ready with me/shop my closet" videos 😃. Before she retired, my mother was a general manager/regional food service director for Marriott, and she was my introduction to dressing professionally with a twist to work...as you do, lol. She had and preferred skirt suits of many colors with scarves, handbags, and shoes to match. That, along with my exposure to retail, which was my first "big girl" job in my early 20's and putting my personal taste forward has me dressing differently than most at my office to date as a woman in my 40's lol. I work for the government on the state level as a caseworker.
You had a great foundation in your mom to help develop your style. I’ve always dressed different from most women in the office and I’ve always been perfectly ok with that. Continue being your very own unique self. 😊

You've done a great job that's my road map and I have credit card debt but it all zero interest for 18 months and my goal is to pay off all my credit card debt by the end of 2024 and NOT accumulate any new debt. That's why I want to start a channel for that same accountability and like you I'm a bargain secondhand thrift consignment shopper too.
Miss Sharon I am late to this video I was very busy this past week. But, my fellow Libra sister I just wanted to say I am impressed with your determination and you did excellent for 2023. I was also a shop aholic and had the same reasoning oh it's all a bargain because it is thrifted or it is on a major sale and I love beautiful clothes and shoes and bags. I also love to travel and I have been blessed to see a lot of the world, Asia, Europe, Middle East. I have yet to explore South America so that is on my bucket list. I just hate to fly now because of all the hassle. I remember a time when people could walk you to your gate or pick you up at your gate. I am a few years older than you. You will love Amsterdam! I don't travel as much but I still manage to travel somewhere every year in the US if not international. You are an inspiration especially sharing your reason to smile bible verses. You must visit St. Viateur Bagel. Omg the best bagels hands down. And for a killer Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich, Schwartz's! I live in Ontario but I love Montreal. Sharon I love your videos girl! It's so inspiring to see you put these great outfits together! Outfits that have been mostly THRIFTED! I love that!!! My question is: How do you find time to thrift? With a full time job and all, like myself, I don't see how you get it all done. For me, it's work, husband, house, cleaning, cooking and church on Sunday! Whew! And, especially spending time to thrift when it's no guarantee that you will find anything! Girl! And, I do get it, that's part of the fun of it; hunting for the cute bargain. But, how tiring that was for me that ONE Saturday, ha, ha cuz, I haven't been back in years since then, to spend half the day thrifting, spending my only Saturday...(LOL until the next one anyway) only to arrive home with nothing! I've been sitting behind the computer punching out orders every since! LOL! Tired of spending so much on clothes though so, ultimately, I would love to thrift! I even just tired Thread Up; the online thrift store. I received the cute dressed BUT, in the wrong sizes! Ugh! So, I will be sowing those dresses in some one's life at church; not worth the hassle to send them back. Anyway, my question is: where do you thrift and how often? YES.. In regards to the accent (😊), although I was born and raised in the United States, my parents are Ghanaian immigrants. Apparently, I've adopted their accent (I suppose being the first born and listening to how they say things it was bound to happen) with a blend of United States city and suburban, lol. I grew up primarily in Chicago and later teens family moved to Chicago suburbs. When I was a undergrad I went away to school and some of the students were asking me the same thing "So... where are you from? " and they didn't just mean what state or town was I from because once I answered "Chicago" they'd say "Yeahhh but did you grow up anywhere else?" I'd be puzzled and ask "What so you mean?" Then they'd explain how "they're hearing a little something when I speak."... of course I DON'T hear it myself, lol. The moment I hit sweet home Chicago, particularly in the downtown area, I've also get approached with the same question and I go on to explaining "Oh... that's my family's accent you're hearing then... they're from Ghana. So I guess it's Ghanaian, city, and suburban all rolled into one." ... and we have a good chuckle.

Yes they do not ship enough 10/11 shoes, the larger sizes goes first.

You've done a great job that's my road map and I have credit card debt but it all zero interest for 18 months and my goal is to pay off all my credit card debt by the end of 2024 and NOT accumulate any new debt. That's why I want to start a channel for that same accountability and like you I'm a bargain secondhand thrift consignment shopper too.
You will do it. I’m going to talk about what I’ve put in place not to go back into debt.
Miss Sharon I am late to this video I was very busy this past week. But, my fellow Libra sister I just wanted to say I am impressed with your determination and you did excellent for 2023. I was also a shop aholic and had the same reasoning oh it's all a bargain because it is thrifted or it is on a major sale and I love beautiful clothes and shoes and bags. I also love to travel and I have been blessed to see a lot of the world, Asia, Europe, Middle East. I have yet to explore South America so that is on my bucket list. I just hate to fly now because of all the hassle. I remember a time when people could walk you to your gate or pick you up at your gate. I am a few years older than you. You will love Amsterdam! I don't travel as much but I still manage to travel somewhere every year in the US if not international. You are an inspiration especially sharing your reason to smile bible verses. It has been a ride through 2023 but it has been good ride and joining you on your journey was one of the highlights. Looking forward to all that you do for 2024 and thank you for taking us along.

Hi Sharon. Just catching up on some of your videos, as a new subscriber. You mentioned visiting Quebec. Well Montreal is a must. It is such a beautiful, vibrant city with so much to do. You must visit St. Viateur Bagel. Omg the best bagels hands down. And for a killer Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich, Schwartz's! I live in Ontario but I love Montreal. Vancouver and Calgary are must sees as well, down the road! 🇨🇦

Sharon I love your videos girl! It's so inspiring to see you put these great outfits together! Outfits that have been mostly THRIFTED! I love that!!! My question is: How do you find time to thrift? With a full time job and all, like myself, I don't see how you get it all done. For me, it's work, husband, house, cleaning, cooking and church on Sunday! Whew! And, especially spending time to thrift when it's no guarantee that you will find anything! Girl! And, I do get it, that's part of the fun of it; hunting for the cute bargain. But, how tiring that was for me that ONE Saturday, ha, ha cuz, I haven't been back in years since then, to spend half the day thrifting, spending my only Saturday...(LOL until the next one anyway) only to arrive home with nothing! I've been sitting behind the computer punching out orders every since! LOL! Tired of spending so much on clothes though so, ultimately, I would love to thrift! I even just tired Thread Up; the online thrift store. I received the cute dressed BUT, in the wrong sizes! Ugh! So, I will be sowing those dresses in some one's life at church; not worth the hassle to send them back. Anyway, my question is: where do you thrift and how often? And, I know you have at least one video out where you take us thrifting with you. Perhaps for 2024, you can add more of those thrifting videos? Thanks Sharon for all you do! Lisa, I love shopping in another life I would be a personal shopper 😂. So since I love shopping bargain shopping is joy to me. My sister and I used to make a whole day of it, we would thrift, have lunch, I called it my me time. Yes I plan to do some thrifting videos. 😊

YES.. In regards to the accent (😊), although I was born and raised in the United States, my parents are Ghanaian immigrants. Apparently, I've adopted their accent (I suppose being the first born and listening to how they say things it was bound to happen) with a blend of United States city and suburban, lol. I grew up primarily in Chicago and later teens family moved to Chicago suburbs. When I was a undergrad I went away to school and some of the students were asking me the same thing "So... where are you from? " and they didn't just mean what state or town was I from because once I answered "Chicago" they'd say "Yeahhh but did you grow up anywhere else?" I'd be puzzled and ask "What so you mean?" Then they'd explain how "they're hearing a little something when I speak."... of course I DON'T hear it myself, lol. The moment I hit sweet home Chicago, particularly in the downtown area, I've also get approached with the same question and I go on to explaining "Oh... that's my family's accent you're hearing then... they're from Ghana. So I guess it's Ghanaian, city, and suburban all rolled into one." ... and we have a good chuckle.
